The property was in an ideal location for the shops and corn exchange for a show. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly allowing us early check in and a great service. Our room was upstairs beside the road but was still very quiet due to the glazing and shutters. The beds were comfortable and the shower great! The small kitchen area was great for a cuppa, we were amazed to find a full fridge and oven facilities in the room. The breakfast was just perfect, help yourself to all things continental! We would definitely stay again. Thank you all at The Regent.
Nothing at all.

We booked 3 rooms/appartments for my son's graduation. My father has mobility challenges - there is a lift and staff were very helpful with luggage, the wheelchair etc. His room was next to the lift. Very convenient indeed. Continental breakfast was great and easy to access. The dining room has a lovely view over Parker's Piece. There are lots of local cafes and restaurants which was great. We could easily get around and being quite central was very helpful. Everyone had a lovely stay and a check out of 11 meant that we were not rushing in the morning we came home. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will recommend.
The rooms were not all the same size even though the prices were the same though they had the same facilities. Parking was a bit tricky as I needed to drop my father off with the luggage and the wheelchair - I'm grateful to the staff who helped with this while I needed to move the car to the multi-story. There is nothing that the staff can do about this but it's good to be aware. Some gluten free bread or pastries would have been nice as I'm gf, but there was fruit and yoghurt and some gf cereal.

Staff very very friendly and efficient and welcoming. They even lent me a charger for my iPhone. And they booked a taxi for me. The room was super clean. The hotel was very quiet, and the room, even though small, had everything necessary and a lovely view onto a park.
I could not open the window in my room. There was double glazing, and I could pull up the front window a little bit, but could not open the window and get fresh air. The main thing I did not like, and why I only gave a 8, was the breakfast. Apart from fruit, the brealkstai was not fresh. No fresh bread, no boiled egg, no fresh yoghurt. There were croissants and danish party and some tasteless white bread for toasting, and sweetened yoghurt, and various cereals. It did not beef that inviting.

The location was perfect, 7 min walk from the River. Breakfast was basic ( however that is what I was expecting after reading the reviews) and they ran out of filter coffee. The room (22 Loft with balcony) was great and extremely comfortable. Parking After reading the reviews I was apprehensive and concerned about the parking, however we arrived about 3PM on a Sunday and left at 5PM the following Monday (bank holiday) and managed to park out the back (on a single yellow) for the entire time we were there and we never got a parking fine. What a bonus :-)
Although the breakfast was expectably basic I feel they could have put on a bit more and ensured that there would be plenty of filter coffee available at breakfast.

The location was excellent. The provision of a coffee machine was very welcome. The shower was a good size, with good pressure and easy to adjust temperature. It was great to have a view directly over Parker’s Piece!
It was good to have air conditioning in the room but it was not possible to take the temperature down lower than 19 degrees C which we found too hot to sleep in. The windows have a very limited opening capacity (reasonable, to be fair, given their size and issues of H&S), which means we couldn’t get good air circulation, which we could have had instead of the air conditioning.

I had a good size room with a kitchenette overlooking the street. It was a comfortable room. I had not realised that a continental breakfast was included which was great. The breakfast room overlooks the park so a nice view to start the day.
I arrived in Cambridge and hoped to check in early (but not necessarily access the room) but had to wait until after 11.00am as there were no reception staff around. It seems the hotel deliberately has minimal staff as there is a self check in system. There is not really a secure area for leaving a bag before the room is available or when checking out, so I used a third party bag storage place. I was there during exams so it was noisy on the street during the night.

Perfect location not far from rail station and easy to walk around centre. Got free upgrade from city view to ‘park view’ although ‘view’ blocked by trees, more peaceful. Nice clean room with small kitchen and ‘rain’ shower. Room cleaned, bed made and towels changed every day. V good continental breakfast.
Couldn’t get combi-oven microwave to work even after reading instructions so managed with one in breakfast room. Didn’t mention as only needed once. Couldn’t have rain shower on full blast to stop flooding floor.

Very pleased we stayed here! The room was huge, and had a mini kitchen with all the essentials, table and big bed etc. We had the room overlooking the Park which was lovely. We walked past one of the ''street view'' rooms, and in comparison it looked very small and a little noisy as it was overlooking the main road. Pay the little extra and go for a park view room, you will not regret it! Also included a continental breakfast, and although very basic (fruit, cereal, toast and jam, coffee & Tea etc) it did the job and kept us going until Lunch! Location also is great, as it's just a 10 minute walk into the city centre, but there are also allot of restaurants, pubs and cafe's right next to the hotel.
Only issue is parking. Luckily the little road at the back of the Hotel has free parking on Sundays, but then at 8:30am on Monday morning I had to move to the nearby multistorey carpark, which cost us nearly £20 for over 8 hrs. Come by train / Bus if you can, or find a cheaper option for Parking.

I stayed in one of the studio rooms with a view over Parker's Piece. Large, bright, clean and comfortable room. Excellent location - 10 minutes walk into city centre, and with many cafes and restaurants in the local area. Staff were very friendly
Breakfast choice was a bit limited. The studio facilities in my room were also limited, and only really allowed for reheating prepared food. A very modern decor throughout, so other than a couple of old windows and the staircase there is very little remaining of the original Regency building. A few Regency prints on the walls would have added to the ambience.

Breakfast was good, although (as specified) no hot food available. Excellent location with view overlooking Parker's Piece. All neat and tidy, good attentive room service. Excellent service overall from friendly staff.
Room a bit smaller than suggested by the online photographs, but fine for a short stay. (Will probably try to book a Loft room for any future visits.) A bit of late noise from neighbouring room - though that's a potential issue at any hotel.
