Very happy with my room once I had upgraded (See comment below) The breakfast was lovely and an excellent selection. Perfect location as my granddaughter was getting married at Emmanuel College. The bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch too.

As I was travelling alone I booked a "Cosy Room". I was extremely disappointed when checking in to be told that the Cosy Room was so cosy it didn't have a window! I had no other choice but to upgrade at an extra cost. When I booked the room there was no mention about the room not having a window and I think you should make this very clear.

Our room was lovely and a very generous size, with a huge seperate bathroom and a seperate toilet. The renovations to what was once an old university college were tasteful and the bed extremely comfortable. The public areas are lovely, with a great view over Parkers Piece.We had a small problem with the shower, which was fixed instantly. The staff were without exception friendly polite and extremely helpful.

Our room and bathroom were a little dark. We stayed fo several days, and in that time the breakfast, whist a comprehensive buffet, seemed a little repetitive and the quality could have been higher.

Amazing hotel, beautiful building, great bar and the room was also very nice and comfortable. Breakfast also had lots of great options.

Check-in was meant to be from 4pm, we arrived at 5pm and the room was still not ready - the receptionist offered us complementary breakfast which was a very nice gesture. We were then waiting at the bar for the room to be ready and reception was meant to call us. At 6pm as still no call i went to check (since we were meant to have a room within half an hour after our arrival) and another receptionist processed the room - when i asked why no one called as promised she said « because she just found a room » which i did find a bit of a weird response - but all in all, everything went well.

The staff were helpful and we were able to leave our bags with the hotel well before our check-in time to go to explore the city. The location was fantastically central for a quick walk into the centre. The room was comfortable, with excellent facilities and lovely bathroom products.

I think that, by checking in early to leave our bags, we missed out on information about the hotel's facilities and there was no hotel guide in our room (I had to search the website thoroughly to discover breakfast times). There was a wedding the evening we stayed and the music was extremely loud (we could hear and identify what songs were playing from our third floor room). To be fair, the music ended at precisely 11.30pm and we had a good night's sleep after that.
