The location is just perfect. The room was clean , stylish & probably one of the nicest rooms stayed in. Loved the bathroom and all the other quirky features. The terrace was lovely to sit and have a drink. The breakfast was absolutely lovely. Loved the home spainish cakes, fresh fruit etc. It was just perfect. The staff went out of their way to help you and were all lovely . Thank you . Will def be back !

Just one tiny thing, the air con seemed not to work in room and was rather hot. Staff were quick to assist though. Can't fault that at all

When my friends announced they were getting married in Cardiff at the end of July, i immediately decided to look for accommodation in the city centre for the weekend. I only live in Pontypridd but didn't want the hassle of relying on public transport & taxis etc. At the time of looking, Parador 44 was offering me a really competitive room rate compared to other hotels in the city. So I decided to book... if you're going to stay in a hotel in your home city, you may aswell stay in a nice one! I'm so pleased I did. The room was exquisite, and the executive lounge & honesty bar added an extra touch of luxury. My room rate included breakfast, which I can not rate more highly. Absolutely outstanding.

Tea & coffee are free and unlimited from the executive lounge. However, I did miss having coffee making facilities in my room as I like to have a cuppa in bed first thing & and whilst getting dressed etc.

Excellent location, clean and modern (yet traditionally decorated) rooms, and the best breakfast I've had in any hotel I have ever visited (try the salmon scrambled eggs and you won't regret it!)! Also good value overall - lower-priced and better quality than many of the other chain and independent alternatives in the city centre. My only regret is that I didn't have time to eat dinner at the restaurant! Definitely my go-to place next time I'm in beatiful Cardiff!

A couple of minor issues: - The room I was assigned was directly above the restaurant, which meant that music could be heard at many times during the day. However, it stopped at 22.00 sharp, so no big nuissance. - Please get rid of the straw rugs in the rooms! They look nice in the photos, but they are hard to clean and collect loads of dust, which then sticks onto people's socks, slippers etc.

There was nothing I could fault about this hotel, from the moment we checked in to the second we checked out, everything was perfect and how a hotel experience should be. I have stayed at a few hotels, and I can honestly say this has been a favourite. The location was ideal, right in the centre, a stone throw away from the stadium, and so close to absolutely everything, its in a prime spot, parking just over the road to the hotel. The attention to detail in the bedrooms, was something else, they are beautifully decorated and designed. Air con, lovely slippers and bath robes, big super king bed, but more than anything it was super clean. The shared kitchen/outside area is lovely. There is no tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom, but more than enough in the shared kitchen/living room area, and the choice of alcohol/refreshments and nibbles are fantastic, even better to be able to enjoy in the outside area, which is a huge suntrap! The cocktails went down a treat here :) The meal we had on the first night was exceptional, and the Spanish/Welsh breakfast was divine, especially the granola and fresh fruits! Wow! What stood out for me more than anything was the amazing staff, they were very professional! The man that checked us in was very helpful, knowledge and extremely polite. He explained the background of this hotel which was interesting. The waitress in the evening was fantastic, so was the waitress in the morning, she always had a lovely smile on her face. To see high standard in staff is always a treat, they made our stay even better, nothing was trouble and they all seemed to be happy at their job. They are a credit to this hotel. We will be back here, and I can assure that anyone that will stay here, wont be at all disappointed Great job Parador 44

For me personally, the only minor I had, that the pillows were a little bit too hard

Parador 44 stands out as an exceptional place in the centre of Cardiff. There is nowhere else like it here. Amazing staff, superb décor, food delicious. As someone who travels a lot for business, it was lovely being in a place that was so good, and which was great value for money. The location couldn't have been better, a few mins walk from the station and literally 3 mins away from where I was working the following day. I booked a table for 6pm for me and my colleague, thinking that perhaps I didn't really need to book, as 6pm was so early, but the place was packed, indicating just how popular this place is.

the property was beautiful. excellent decor throughout and good facilities. breakfast was good although the parador breakfast was very filling and a little strong for that time in the morning. I had salmon on toast the second day which was generous and exceptional. air con in room was a real pleasure on a hot weekend . staff were lovely

no kettle in the room and felt like an intruder in the kitchen area. was not sure if we’d be charged for tea coffee so did not bother. no spoons or plates in this area either. although the restaurant staff were very helpful and provided the cutlery that we needed.

Fabulous hotel! Small but perfectly formed where staff are both friendly and welcoming The bedroom contained a Queen size bed which was both inviting and comfortable. The room was decorated in a Spanish design which complimented the name Parador 44. The breakfast served in the restaurant on the ground floor was lovely Plenty of choice and plenty to eat. My partner and I actually ate in the restaurant on the evening of our stay. The meal we had was great. The jewel in the crown is the small decked rooftop terrace. Relaxing on a perfect summers night. To enter the rooftop is a small kitchenette with seating area and honesty bar. So if you just want to relax at the hotel this area is perfect. I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely return.

Nothing really. The hotel located in the centre of the city so don't expect views. You can see the Principality from the hotel

The location of this small hotel cannot be beat. It is in the heart of Cardiff and within short walking distance of anything that matters. Although the odd stairs are quirky, and there are some low beams and occasional doorways, it is also extremely well equipped. Very clean, comfortable and pretty spacious. It also looks really nice once you get inside (the street outside is a different story). The breakfasts are excellent. I’ve read some complain about noise. We stayed for 2 nights, I’m a light sleeper and I had nothing to complain about. Maybe it’s a matter of room location but ours was very quiet at night. The staff is fantastic.

There is a public parking right across the street which is really convenient, but the hotel has no parking arrangement so you will pay regular fare. Over the 2 night stay that added up to 60£. Take that into account. Also take into the account the stadium is 100m away. If there is an event you will likely be locked in (on the evening of the day we left Beyoncé was going to perform there and the barricades were being prepared at 0930).
