Super friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Brilliant location with short walk straight out front of hotel to the heart of Cardiff city centre.

Parking is an issue under the hotel so we parked in St David's shopping centre which is 24/7 parking and £25 per 24hrs [same charge as hotel]. We had to walk all our luggage through the shopping centre and mall, cross the road and into the hotel. Other than the parking, everything else was great!

Central location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a nice breakfast - basically, as expected for a hotel of this chain. The room (and bathroom) was spacious and clean with all amenities. Checking in and out was easy and quick. I really enjoyed the breakfast, it was a nice spread of all imaginable brekkie foods and was fresh and well-presented.

There was nothing really to dislike. I saw some comments on the hotel being a bit dated, which I can see, but with everything clean, fresh, and working, I cannot say it bothered me. I would always prefer the option to open the window rather than A/C, but that is always difficult in these high-rise buildings.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the town centre and all the amenities. A short walk from the train station. Shopping centre round the corner, with night life firing up the evening just past that. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming, always avaialble to help. Fats lifts available, to help to your floor, the rooms are very accomodating. Coffee, tea making facilities in rooms along with well kept bathrooms stocked well. The buffet breakfast was well worth the additional money, with excellent layout along with a vast veriety of hot and cold choices, all fresh.

In my opinion the bed wasn't the best, being moveable, uncomfy and the pillows weren't very plump and a little flat.

• Location was excellent, right beside St. David's Centre and train station. • Very friendly staff. Jason who checked us in was great, made conversation and let us know where we could find info on things to do in Cardiff. • Fridge was provided in the room even though it wasn't in the room description when booking, which was a nice bonus. • Soundproofed - Didn't hear one sound from neighbouring rooms. • Very large and comfortable bed, big enough to fit 3 people. • Excellent sized room. • Bathroom was excellent. Powerful shower over bath and soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tissues, etc. all provided. Plenty of towels provided also - 2 bath towels, bathmat and 2 large hand towels. • No key card needed to keep the air-con/heating/electric running. • Door security from midnight. You need to ring bell and show room card to get in.

• Key card stopped working on 2 separate occasions, but reception issued us with new keys straight away. • Few brown stains on the carpet in the room, but other than that, the room and bathroom were very clean. • Iron had a black stain melted onto it, which transferred onto my partners white T-shirt. • As per other comments, the room was very dated and Room decor didn't match the images for superior room advertised on booking.com. We received a room with blue carpet, which I thought was only for standard rooms.

Good location. Good breakfast. Only few minutes to town and Train station. By the way, I would like to thank Johana, the receptionist, for her excellence service.

While I was having breakfast, I saw a male staff cleaning a table which guest already left. He only removed the coffee cup and changed for a new one but not the saucer. He should have replaced the whole set not only the cup.

Comfortable rooms, although some furnishings a little worn. Excellent location. Breakfasts were reasonably good. Best of all was the staff - housekeeping, dining and reception - whomever I encountered and wherever I met them (including in the lifts), they were friendly and welcoming. I stayed for 11 days in total in March and April 2023 and felt quite comfortable and 'at home' in the hotel throughout my time there. I appreciated some of the little things such as holding of luggage and booking of taxis, as well as the general services.

The buffet breakfasts, while ample and fairly diverse, felt a little tired. And then there are the key cards, a common problem in many hotels! They required frequent resetting, and not only the trips to reception wearying, the extra trips up and down in the lifts must be uneconomical for the hotel!

My first time staying at a Radisson Blu, and to me it was the best choice and very good value with it being a high branded 4* hotel, and being in the centre of Cardiff. We arrived about 4 hours late due to some travel issues, and if I remember it was pushing 10pm for when we arrived. What was a very nice gesture at check in , when I enquired about the restaurant it was due to close at 10pm, and the staff member there behind the desk ( Victoria) I think her name was, very kindly rang through to the restaurant to see if they were still open, I think they were about to close and they very kindly remained open for us to get some late dinner, which I thought was a real nice thing to do after travelling for nearly 5 hours, so I thank the staff there very much for providing that! Otherwise the hotel its self is in a very good location for visiting Cardiff, within walking distance and it took about 10 minutes to walk into the centre. The room was very good, bright , spacious , and almost on the top floor at level 17.. to which it offered a great view of parts of Cardiff. The restaurant provided very nice food, drinks and breakfast in the morning. The food was really good, and offered a good menu. Their is also nearby places such as bars and restaurants in the centre of Cardiff to choose from including a Weatherspoons which is on the corner very near the hotel,

We didnt really encounter any major disappointments during the stay, but maybe I thought the breakfast times in the restaurant of breakfast finishing at 9,30am, maybe a little early.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had beautiful views over Cardiff. We would absolutely stay here again, the central location, which is also near the train station, made getting around easy and comfortable.

Honestly there isn't much I can comment on regarding improvements that could be made. My only suggestion would be a wider range of gluten free items at breakfast as I did struggle in this respect. That being said they did offer bread, cornflakes and two small cakes, which is more than a lot of places.

The location is spot on when taking the train, and needing to be in walking distance to the city centre. The standard double / twin bedroom is spacious and has got a nice bathroom too. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast covers both British and Continental breakfast tastes.

The logic of the light switching was strange One reading lamp couldn't be operated at all, and one switch on one side operated the reading lamp one the opposite end. Light switches into the bathroom were placed behind the hinge side (back) of the door, not easy to find during the night. Most of all, the air-conditioning was switching off when turning in for the night, but as windows aren't openable it is important to understand how the ventilation works. No instructions available, played around and found an automatic setting, the extract ventilation in the bathroom would not come on full stop. Generally the main room aircon also was a bit too cool for our liking

Very comfortable, quiet,, very clean, great breakfast options reception staff amazing.

The day after our stay we were told check out was at 12 however after housekeeping relentlessley knocking on the door at 10 am and then continued to stand outside the door for a further 5 minutes. I felt pressured into checking out early. Which was an inconvenience to us as we were both exhausted. I get they had to get the rooms turned out for a very busy time but this put a dampener on our stay. Maybe if you had a device that informed the staff when each room had checked out to avoid this situation that would be more pleasant and avoid frustration of paying guests.
