The room was really nice and the staff were very polite and helpful.

The fact on entry to the property several times, dogs were allowed to sit on the couches in the foyer. Personally I like dogs however I do not appreciate dogs which may have been to the toilet being allowed to sit on furniture, especially if you have nice clothes on, there is also the issue of slobber and moulting hairs which you have to contend with. For the money paid you expect a better decorum on entry to the hotel. Also extortionate price on drinks, its a shame as it deters you from relaxing at the end of a night.

Room was lovely and modern. Big bathroom. Big towels. Comfy bed. Very quiet despite being on a main party street on a Saturday night! Reception very welcoming.

Difficult to hang towels on the bathroom door knobs as too small. Had to use the door handle. Only one main lift working so was always full during the day when we wanted to leave. Toilet paper was awful. Too thin and just kept tearing. Strange I know, but it was a nuisance. Parking was a mystery as booking.com and their website says secure covered parking but it is not clear where that is. I looked on google earth and couldn't see any parking ramp at the hotel.... had to park in the street by city hall and ask on arrival. Turns out it is a street away. Left the car by city hall and was much, much cheaper.

The pool, restaurant and staff were fantastic, we upgraded our room from a family room as it was too small for 4 of us really to two adjoining rooms with kingsize beds, the family room was very nice and had a huge tv which the kids loved but the adjoining rooms were much better. Every member of staff we encountered couldnt do enough to help us and were happy with a good sense of humor too. The pool is looking a little dated along with the changing facilities however it was clean and our kids really enjoyed the time in there. Breakfast was probably the best i have had in any hotel in the UK and the menu for the Graze restaurant looked fantastic, we sampled a few items and they were delicious

To be honest i think we paid more just because of the name "Hilton" our original room was no bigger than a premier inn room and only had a shower where a premier inn has a same sized room with king bed and a bath. The family room had 2 double beds in which would have been a bit too small for the 4 of us and wasnt the best view (which cant exactly be helped really). I know hotels charge a premium on items however i was charged £7.20 for 4 packets of McCoy's crisps which was a little excessive

We stayed in the newly refurbished room with castle view. Excellent. Everything new. Most comfortable bed we ever had in a hotel, spacious bathroom and superb shower … super friendly staff at front desk and housekeeping. Still renovations works going on but other then only one elevator working and storage of mattresses and furniture in full view above the bar area, no disturbances during our stay.

The pool /Health Club area. Everything Outdated. Sauna closed. Steam room cold. Jacuzzi cold. The pool itself was good for a quick morning swim (heated, clean, empty), has changing rooms and towels provided but don’t go if you expect modern Spa Facilities…. No Spa Robe/Spa Slippers provided in the room. We were aware when booking that this part of the hotel is not remodelled …. Yet. So for us it was not a downer.

A fantastic hotel, very updated and clean, staff were so kind.

Very childish couples in the pool / spa. Jumping in and splashing people and just laughing about it. When me and my partner went to go into the hot tub, there was a couple who was sat in there, the girl was bouncing on top of the man and said how they had been interrupted. They then went into the pool and he started pushing her into the waterfall and she was screeching like a little child. Very childish and not relaxing what so ever. The lifeguard kept looking but did nothing about it. Very disappointed and a shame cause we wanted to relax and enjoy.

We had exec double room on the top floor (7) with a view of the castle and would highly recomend for the views of castle and surrounding roads. we were there to see Tom Jones who was performing in the castle, so loved that we could see in to the castle grounds where the concert was being held. Great location for access to castle and the shopping area of town, Cardiff market etc. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Room was fabulous, enormous comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and every 'trimming' you would expect from a Hilton room. Spa, pool, sauna, jacuzzi were all great and spotlessly clean. Security on door through the entire night time due to proximity to town centre, was very welcome stopping drunks trying to get in to bar etc. appreciated this added security (security lady and young guy were really friendly!) Had breakfast in the room and in the restaurant, again everything you would expect from a Hilton buffet breakfast, all lovely, did not use the restaurant or room service other than breakfast. All staff very polite and friendly.

the rooms have floor to celing windows which of course provide spectacular views, but this means that there are no windows that you can open for fresh air. Air conditioning was great, but cant beat a blast of fresh air to freshen up a room, so if this is essential for you, check before you book as I dont know if any rooms have windows you can open.

Everything was great, from facilities to location to staff , Nothing was too much trouble, everything was clean and tidy and staff always friendly and happy to help. This is our 3rd or 4th time here and would always be our first choice when we come to Cardiff. Our room was newly refurbished, gorgeous bathroom with walk in shower. Huge bed and equally huge tv with all the things you’d expect to find tea/coffee , iron etc. Plentiful breakfast with cooked and continental options which was was delicious. Nice chilled bar area which we relaxed in before heading out for dinner as well a night cap before heading up to bed. The spa - pool , jacuzzi, sauna and steam room perfect relaxation after shopping and lunching. Thank you to all, we’ll definitely be back.

The bed was comfy and the shower was nice. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Great location for accessing the stadium.

We were very dissatisfied with the parking facilities - we were directed by hotel staff to a nearby business centre car park but then told by staff there that we couldn't use the car park. The hotel reception confirmed that we indeed could, but we were told once again by the business centre to remove our car. Eventually a member of Hilton reception (Manuel - very helpful) found a space for us in the hotel car park so we could move our car to there. Somebody somwhere didn't have the correct info on the arrangement between the hotel and business centre! Room service at night (after 11pm) was very limited - only one vegetarian item on the menu. No hand soap in bathroom - had to use shower gel.

The central location of the Hilton is excellent. The room was large with very comfortable large twin beds and amazing fluffy pillows. The buffet breakfast was spectacular with everything you could ask for.

Although COVID has finished in the main, they have still not re-employed the doorman nor the valet parking. It felt like it had lost it's high class sparkle. The bedroom did not have a central light which meant that the room was very dark despite numerous bedside lights. There was no view from the room being at the back. The hotel is under going 12 months of bedroom refurbishments. There is no parking on site.

Rooms really need the refurbishment which is apparently underway-a little dingy/carpet did not warrent too close inspection/generally tired. Hot water took ages to come through in the bathroom and wasn't that hot when it did Hoisekeeping seems under pressure/under staffed. A couple of things were missed in our room and the same handprint was on the lift door for two full days of our stay
