It was my first time staying at a Leonardo hotel, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very nice and clean. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The room I booked was my highlight, it was big, spacious, clean, had good lighting and a lot of storage. The location was quite convenient as it was close to other amenities, however for me it was overwhelming as I like quiet, less busy locations. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. I see why this hotel has a higher rating on booking.com than some other “big” hotels.

1. The hotel is located in the city centre, which made it very busy for my liking. 2. The breakfast was very average to say the least, they had a lot of options, but I did not find it very tasty. Their orange juice was horrid! You could barely taste the orange in it, it was very diluted. Other people that stayed there complained about the same. They need to improve on the quality of their breakfast. 3. I wish hotels would start putting smart tv’s in the rooms now. Most of us have a hard time watching freeview tv. It would be better if we could have the option of connecting to YouTube to watch what we want. 4. I hated the view of outside my room.

Room excellent especially as we received an upgrade. The breakfast was very good ( although the fried eggs disappointing unless you were lucky enough to arrive when they were freshly replenished. All of the staff - without exception were better than excellent. A special mention for Joanna on reception who was so helpful.

The condition of the fried eggs and the small breakfast plates -- I didn't want to be greedy but I like my egg on a slice of toast, but the plate size was only big enough for this, so everything else also had to be placed on top of the toast. A very small point -- but could so easily be rectified.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have breakfast as I was meeting people at a prearranged brunch - however next time I will define make that choice. The hotel upgraded me to a double room and it was so quiet and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff very polite. However the biggest accolade must go to the house keeping staff. Excellent! It was clean and fresh - and I could not fault the service and standard. Will stay again. Parking was very handy and the location was ideal for where I wanted to be with access to shopping and meeting places nearby.

I think in some places in the hotel the decor could be spruced up a bit due to wear and tear but it was pretty well appointed and it was only minor. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Room booking - The location was excellent. Very central. The staff were very accommodating and patient, especially when my friend who had booked a superior room was not happy that my, upgraded room, was of better quality. Parking was very good though it seemed expensive over two days. I thought the receptionist (whose name I did not get) dealt with my friends unhappiness very well and effectively. She booked us in early evening on the 24th February.

I have used Leonardo Hotels in the UK and in Europe and have found them comfortable and with well trained staff. I will use them again but I did have a reservation in recommending this one. Breakfast - I found the breakfast quite disappointing. There was little choice and the 'Continental' side of the buffet seemed to be a few thin slices of salami and cheese that looked a little dry and were curling up. Although I'm sure if I had asked for anything they would have supplied it (I did ask for three boiled eggs at one point which were supplied) the overall effect was quite off putting. I suspect it was targeted to meet local tastes, but having experienced breakfasts at several Leonardo Hotels this was a let down.

The location of the hotel was great for the city centre. The breakfast was good and hot and replenished regularly. The team liked the rooms and found them comfortable.

The parking for 2 nights/days stay was a little steep so we moved our car, this would have an impact on whether we stayed again as other hotels do offer parking included in the rate. We travelled in one car this time to protect the environment so paying £70 to park has an impact and its not always possible to car share so perhaps you might consider offering a discount to block bookings of rooms for the parking??

Very clean Location great Upon arrival, we were given an upgrade to a junior suite,the added extras made our stay Lovely big bathroom with decent complimentary toiletries. Gleaming white towels and bed linen On line check in and check out. Free blue badge parking.

The restaurant menu was very limited and not enticing. Breakfast was poor,there was no porridge as advertised,and even though it was said on the menu,ask if you would like fried boiled or poached egg. we were informed there was no chef on Mondays. There was no view,but that is the layout. There was a strange banging noise that kept us awake all night

The location is first class, could not have been better, from my point of view. The room was bigger than I had expected, with a very ample bed. I had to make an unexpected change to my booking on the first day. Even though this had gone via booking.com (and thus needed me to prompt that change via the website), manager David went above and beyond to effect the change on my behalf. I was very grateful for this!

The hot water did take a long while to come through, when using the bathroom handbasin. Breakfast was very good - though the fried eggs had been there a while, and I'd have preferred to get there when they were newly served!

Excellently located hotel in the centre of Cardiff with easy access to the city centre, castle and principality stadium. We were there for a Bruce Springsteen concert hence lower score on value for money as hotel was full and prices were a premium (not blaming them, pure supply and demand). Friendly staff and lovely room with an enormous and very comfortable bed. Some crisps, biscuits and local pale ale in the room was a nice touch.

The self serve breakfast was very good so not a complaint but having stayed there three nights, it would have been nice to have another option like eggs benedict or similar.

We were upgraded from a standard double room to a junior suite. Which was a very very nice surprise! Thank you! The hotel was Clean, tidy and we felt safe and secure. The room felt luxurious, and we really felt like we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We stayed to go to a gig at the utilita arena, which was about a 10-15 minute walk and the hotel itself is so close to at David's centre and restaurants so ideal location with things on your doorstep, but not close to any pubs or clubs which might make the stay noisy. We chose to park further out, and then got a bus in to the city centre.

The location of hotel is in city center. Be convenient to go to shops, parks, train station. The public area has lemon water, quiet space which is a nice place to rest. The room is clean and has everything I need to stay. The staff are absolutely friendly and professional. I want to especially thanks Joanna. I want to stay one more day, but the room type I’m in sold out, which means I have to move to another room. Normally I have to check out and wait a couple of hours until the new room ready. When I was organizing my stuff with rush, Joanna contact me said a new room is ready, and just right besides my current room, and even help me delay check-out time so I have enough time to move. So convenient! It’s very luck that the hotel team has a member like her, give customers the best experience here.
