Great facilities and well kept room. The bathroom and shower were spotless and loved that the speakers in the bathroom broadcast what was on TV! Lovely breakfast with lots of options for different dietary requirements too. We came to Cardiff for shopping and a show and it was the perfect location to walk around the city centre.

Nothing really, this is the third time I've stayed at this hotel and it's been great every time. I even accidentally left some trousers in the room which they were kind enough to post out to me for a small fee.

Staff are friendly. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is nice but could provide more variety. Good location and easy to access to different tourist spot.

When we put "do not disturb" sign on the door we mean do not disturb. Not sure since when even we put up the do not disturb sign the cleaners will still come into the room. They came into our room and clean up, and moved our things around. Luckily we didn't leave valuable or fragile stuff in the room, nor were sleeping naked in the room. Please respect your customers and DO NOT DISTURB them when they put on the do not disturb sign.

Terrific location--in pedestrian only area, and only a block away from Cardiff Castle. Loads of shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Good breakfast--worth paying extra to have it include. All staff friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff, who seemed, as a matter of course, to just go above and beyond.

Restaurant was a bit expensive and offered limited flexibility when it came dietary restrictions for dinner. There were a lot of good restaurants within walking distance though, and the breakfast buffet was fine and the morning waitstaff were great. They could use better waterproofing for the showers. It was impossible to shower without water getting on the floor and walls.

It was quite quirky - a bit Art Deco. My room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable and in the quiet part of the hotel (almost in an annexe).

It wasn’t that I didn’t like it but I found it strange that the hotel was accessed through a shopping arcade. Because my room was in the annexe (the only way I can explain it), I had to go out of the hotel and walk through the arcade to get the lift to my room and then return the same way passing by the doors to the reception desk and enter through some different doors on the other side to get to the 6th floor restaurant.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, however, there's one thing that did annoy me, was that we turned on our air conditioning before going to sleep, but we were waken up feeling warm because the air conditioners went off automatically after a certain period. Other than that, it's a good spot-on hotel.

Travelled to cardiff for Coldplay concert , Location was excellent , 8 minute walk to stadium , right in the heart of the city, room was small for price but comfy had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with loads of hot options , staff for breakfast we great , polite and friendly . We had dinner @Marco Pierre White restaurant located in the hotel on the Thursday evening, food was good, service was substandard , price was expensive , and just for a word of warning service was added even do we were only a party of 2 , overall a good experience .

I understand that there were set timings for breakfast because they were so busy , on the wednesday our time was 9am , which worked out great , for the Thursday & Friday we changed our time to 10am as the hotel was quite and we wanted to take our time , Thursday worked out well , however on the friday they stopped service at 10am ?? Luckily I arrived a little early and the staff gave me a heads up , so I had to order for both of us before the kitchen closed.

The hotel is in the centre of town. The room was not huge but there was plenty of room and the shower and bathroom were a great size. Breakfast was included and it was probably the BEST cooked breakfast that we have had in a long time. The bed was really comfortable. We will definitely book this hotel again. We had to book our breakfast slot but that meant that it wasn't over full and we had great service. The toiletries I recognised as a local Welsh brand Myddfai which reminded me to buy from them again. This was an added bonus - please don't change this.

There was not a view and a bath would have been an advantage but it didn't detract from how excellent the hotel and staff were. There really wasn't anything I didn't like. The decor was super

The breakfast was excellent, it was like fine dining in the morning. I also enjoyed the gym which was an added bonus. Enjoyed the space in the room and being able to make my own drink with a biscuit very much appreciated. The soap and cream provided in the room were also very good.

With the added space because we had a room for someone with reduced mobility the wash hand basin was low...but that was a choice made by us to keep the room. The shower had so much pressure it sprayed everywhere. The view by the window was another building to be expected in the city centre.

Staff were friendly & knowledgeable about the local area. The room was spacious with decor that paid tribute to Wales' heritage. Shower was big and easily accessible. A wooden key card giving entry to room & elevator was a nice touch.

Breakfast had a vast array of pastries, cheeses and fruit, but the cooked breakfast was very poor. Bacon was rubbery, black pudding was dry, and the mushrooms tasted like they'd come from a tin. Very disappointing. Expected more considering it is a Maco Pierre White restaurant. Parking is in a nearby NCP.

Reception, bar and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The room was very well appointed with nice touches - lovely bathroom toiletries, great decor and lighting, dressing gowns, tea and coffee facilities and comfy beds with crisp, smooth bedlinen. Breakfast in the on-site Marco Pierre White restaurant was good quality although a little slow due to guests coming all at the same time. Location couldn't be much better for a Cardiff Castle Concert.

It would have been great to have been able to get some snacks at the bar when we returned from the concert at 10:30pm - just some nuts or crisps. The espresso coffee machine was broken at breakfast so missed my capuccino but the filter coffee was OK.
