Millbrook Lodge is a very attractive well maintained building.

I have Parkinson’s and found the distance from Reception to room too far with too many heavy manual doors to negotiate particularly with luggage. Also no separate bar to sit in when not wanting to eat. Due to my disability I was unable to enjoy gardens as the hill was too steep and I didn’t see this information on any advertising . The attractive gardens are advertised for walking and enjoying but no warning about a steep incline to negotiate when returning to hotel. Sunday evening meal disappointing as food was very dry and seemed to be leftovers from Sunday lunch reheated .

All the meals are very good. Meals are served in the bar which is very comfortable and looks out over the grounds. All the staff in the hotel are friendly, helpful and smiling. Our room was maybe a little smaller then we would normally expect but it was very comfortable. The room was beautifully clean and nicely located in the hotel.

There was nothing we could say we didn't like.

Staff very friendly and helpful Beautiful Christmas decor Warm, inviting atmosphere Breakfast was excellant Bed was very comfortable

On entering the room, the first thing i noticed was the brown bed base on show. This to me should never be on show. It should be covered, for example with a valance sheet. Could not unsee it, was old and tired looking. Our view from the window was facing a brick wall/roof. Now i know we paid a low rate for the room but the hotel had low occupancy, i think we were the only guests staying ( bad weather) surely they could have put us in their best room, surely not all the double rooms have a view of a wall!! Show the best that you have to offer when available No bar service after 10.30pm, not even for residents!!! Arrived late in the evening, would have loved a night cap

The location is very nice and only 30 minutes from Belfast on a good run. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was tasty.

The beds were uncomfortable (but that is a personal preference) The room was dusty, floor needed cleaning, coffee and tea options are cheap and a bit lacklustre. One male member of staff in the evening (around 9pm) on duty 11th January seemed miffed I wanted to order two drinks at the completely empty bar. Wouldn't crack a smile. Yogurts at breakfast were 7 days out of date and not kept cold (pop them in ice at least)

Lovely place to stay, food was great, staff were brilliant

Don't think the room had been checked properly before we got there, sinks in the bathroom were dirty with toothpaste etc and the counter were the sinks were had makeup Powder on them, some of the lights in the suite didn't work bulbs out etc, bedside cabinet had a large crack in the glass, bit dusty and cobwebs, but we would definitely come back it was a lovely suite and staff were really good and the food in the restaurant was great, just think maybe the room hadn't been checked or cleaned properly

Loved the rectory suite! It was like having your own apartment. The shower and bath in the room were excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding and very good value.

I thought the rooms and building cleanliness was excellent. It was easy to find and conveniently located.

Price was a little steep but considering the prices of hotels in general it wasn't too bad. It was a bit out of the way to access without a car or access to public transport.

It was a lovely gracious building, I thought the breakfast was the best of everything beautifully cooked and served, v clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and pleasant, especially the v tall male waiter on Friday evening and the female member of staff at breakfast on Saturday, and the path through the grounds was a good effort on the part of the hotel. Thanks for everything
