We were offered an accessible room which was ideal for. Staff were unfailingly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. The hotel has a happy atmosphere. Gardens are lovely to view from the window. The outside lighting meant that our room was just dark enough. We had a fridge which was very convenient, beds were very comfortable.
A swivel door to get in or a single door operated from inside. Double doors in the corridor difficult for a wheelchair. The room was hot until we turned off the radiator and opened the top window. A fan was provided. The tap in the bathroom was falling apart but we were assured that maintenance will sort that out.

Comfortable, clean, well positioned hotel Cleaning staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, a very professional and hard working team with good local knowledge that was very helpful. Frontline staff on reception, bar and restaurant all did amazing jobs. They are also a very hard working team, lovely to see smiles and very accommodating throughout stay. Great breakfast choices, excellent sausages, best I've gad at a hotel!
Small clothing space for a family room. Know for shower was duct taped and fell off twice. Chrome to sink tap was eroded and I sliced my finger open 1st night restaurant didn't have food we wanted.

We booked a last minute family night away. We arrived and were allowed to check in early which was great - the place was big and clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We had to book 2 rooms with being a family of 5. The weather was good 16-17.c so not overly warm. When we walked into both rooms the heat hit us instantly. The rooms were otherwise great- very clean. We out on the air con, grabbed our swim things and went to the pool which was fantastic, especially with two young children and a teen. Not too cold and not too warm. Changing area very clean and the family changing facilities were an added bonus. Again staff were great. When we got back to the rooms they were both too hot still, we opened the windows and went out for the day. The food was lovely. 2/5 of our party has allergies and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Location is perfect. By 10pm we couldn’t bare the heat- the air conditioning wasn’t working. Reception supplied fans but the temp wasn’t dropping. The staff found us a room with air-con and helped us to get sorted with the kids. We were compensated for the upheaval too. This wasn’t ideal, but sometimes the way a situation is dealt with is what matters and I must say, the staff were brilliant and did all they could. I would recommend that the hotel sort the air conditioning systems in rooms that do not work.

The staff were so helpful and lovely with my granddaughter! We loved the breakfast and an evening meal we had was excellent, really good quality and tasty food! The room was spotless and spacious, lots of choice for tea and coffee! Lovely little Xmas gift for each of us was a nice touch! The main reason we selected this hotel was due to it having a swimming pool!! However the pool seemed quite cold even though the temperature was 29.1. It felt really cool, I couldn’t go in as I had a chest infection but the Jacuzzi was so warm and was lovely! My granddaughter went in the cool pool then had a quick warm in the jacuzzi with me! Then the big blow came, the man at the desk told me my granddaughter wasn’t allowed in the jacuzzi as she was too young! He said the temperature difference was dangerous for her! I told him she’s my responsibility and I would look after her. He said he could lose his job and said if I allowed her to go in we would have to leave the pool! His attitude wasn’t good and this was the only thing that let the hotel down as everything else was perfection! I’m aware there are rules in place for health and safety reasons, but I really couldn’t see a problem as I was supervising her at all times. I did complain to the receptionist but to no avail. They should be a bit more flexible when adults say they will take on the responsibility if anything happened! My granddaughter was so upset and was crying as she lives going in the water and she is an excellent little swimmer!
The pool rules were the only thing we didn’t like and the attitude of the man on the desk!

Spacious, clean, well equipped room with comfortable bed. Great leisure centre with two gyms, pool, jacuzzi which was lovely & hot, steam room, sauna & tanning bed! Food was tasty & good portions
Could hear people above walking about late at night & early in morning-creaky floorboards. & next door snoring. And kids running & shouting in corridor. So rooms could do with some insulating/sound proofing. Bar had no Prosecco all weekend which is a shame as it’s the only alcohol I drink. Price didn’t include breakfast, for this time of year I think it could have at least for one morning

The location was good, just a short distance from the park and ride into Chester center. The use of a swimming pool and gym during our stay was good. The room was nice and clean. The food in the restaurant was nicely presented, but could of had more veg!
We had to wait in reception for thirty minutes as our room wasn't ready, which was a long way down several corridors to get to. When we went for a swim we were not impressed because swimming lessons were going on, which limited the space we had to swim. Our room was nice and clean but the bed was very firm, not very comfortable for me.

we love the location and setting. Its got everything we need and we've stayed several times .We enjoy having the option to use the pool.Rooms are nice and massive TV.Very well kept and Clean.
In this paticular occasion we had to ask for more tea/milk .There was two of us and we had just a English bfast tea for one, small amount of milk.. The Room was far too hot and we had to request heating to be switched off.But at same time can't begrudge the fact they had ensured room wasn't cold with the current weather. The Jacuzzi was too hot to get into and none of the guests could get it was too hot up and we all just sat on the ledge.Pool water was freezing.Steam Room, not really any steam in there. There was very creaky floor boards. Our own creaked when we walked on them Then we had the ones up above creaking. Our Door Handle came off. Our stay was a Satisfactory and it's usually outstanding.Dissapointed this time for the money paid.

The staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. The restaurant is decorated to a high standard. The bar is inviting and comfortable. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere.
The room needs updating. We had booked a privilege room because it was my husbands birthday. There doesn't feel any luxury to the room. There was a funny smell in the bathroom and outside the window, in the actual bedroom. My husband spoke to the maintenance manager, Kevin, who explained that the drains were maybe blocked with hair and would look into it. He was very helpful. The leisure facilities also need updating. It feels tired, the changing rooms are basic and not appealing. Very disappointing over all.

Breakfast was excellent, rooms were really clean and had a double and two single beds for two adults and one child. Close to the park and ride into Chester city centre (5 minute walk then 5-10 minute bus journey).
On the first night there was on going noise from one of the neighbouring rooms with crying, screaming and shouting running up and down corridors and slamming doors which woke all of us up. We were advised that the lady had some health conditions and that her partner had taken her out of the hotel to calm down. This was the same couple that smelt of cannabis and were constantly in and out of the hotel the evening before. On our second night the bar was very busy with a new trainee on the bar which was slowing things down, even more so when a coach party of people arrived, the staff seemed to be so rushed off their feet in between the restaurant, bar and room service it led to large queues at the time.

We had requested a "walk in" shower, as it is easier for us. this was not available so we were given an accessible room. This was much nearer to front of hotel, which was good. The shower was a bit complicated as was geared up for wheel chair users. So the wash basin was lower too. We found the plug( screw in ) and tap( very fierce water pressure) needed getting used to. All we really needed was a shower cubical. However the bed was so comfortable. There could have been some drawer or shelf space for cloths etc, but considering the type of room and how it would be used this was understandable. The staff (Susan) on reception and every single one were so friendly, happy and helpful. It seemed nothing was too much to ask of them. We enjoyed the food. Very generous breakfast with a big choice. The main meals were good as well. We had a very good (much needed) break in Chester. It's a lovely city and would recommend anyone to pay a visit. Thank you we had a lovely stay.
A bit noisy as our room faced the car park and we had the window open. Nothing else.
