Loved everything about the hotel the spa facilities and the receptionist was so lovely. I paid extra for Birthday banners and cake. I would book again but request a room with no adjoining door.

Didn't like the adjoining room door as the neighbour opened the door in the middle of the night and closed it loudly thus waking us also playing music from 5am and singing loudly. This sadly spoiled it as we had broken sleep.

The staff were so friendly, the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. We had a lovely meal in the bar lounge at reasonable prices. My husband is disabled and the hotel room was very disabled friendly with a fabulous wet room which had a shower seat and grab rails. The room had plenty of space. The hotel itself was easily accessible. We would really recommend this hotel.

We had water leaking into the bedroom from the bathroom when we used the shower but we reported this to reception when we went for breakfast and they were going to report it to the maintenance team as soon as they came in. The person on reception was very apologetic.

We had a fleeting visit - arrived late and left early so didn't stay for breakfast. However, the room was very comfortable and clean and perfect for our stay. We usually stay centrally, but due to an event there was no accommodation - so we had to stay here. However, it was no hardship at all and I consider it a really good find. We were only a 15 minute drive out of the centre anyway and there were trams near by if needed. It was really good value and at least 2/3 of the price of city centre properties. We would definitely stay here again. Staff were very friendly. Bar food was ok.

The room had an interconnecting door with another room. For this reason and not having a solid wall, it was a little noisy and our neighbours left the tv on very loudly all night; and they were both very loud. It was probably bad luck on our part, but for the most part it was a very good stay and this wouldn't put me off staying again. I think it was just inconsiderate neighbours and not due to terribly thin walls.

in a green area, we travelled with 2 small dogs , the hotel is clean and welcoming . The staff is friendly and professional and you are greeted with complimentary delicious cookies. We ordered room service , food from the Bar and it was a very descent size and good food . all staff were outstanding.

I would suggest an area where your dogs can join you inside either for a meal or drink as we do not leave them in the room in their own . from no fault of the hotel, there was a kids party in the day we arrived and the children , of all ages , old enough to know better, unsupervised by their parents , played the run around the corridors chasing each others around the hotel s corridors outside people s bedrooms which was loud and inconsiderate. The hotel staff tried to deal with them but it just went in for too long and of course did upset some guests and our dogs barked every time the herd passed out door screaming and laughing stomping around, which was stressful as we did not want our dogs to disrupt anyone either.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool/leisure facilities were great to have for an overnight stay as that was the reason I booked. Room was clean and comfortable with adequate amenities, bathroom was very nice. Everything we needed for the short time we were there. Good location to drive into the Peak District.

£20 dog/pet fee for cleaning I feel should be a deposit and not a default charge for responsible owners who personally make sure no mess is left behind. Vegan food options were lacking but we were already aware the hotel restaurant is a steakhouse; I only mention this because if we needed a much longer stay, this is what would have made me book elsewhere.

I booked 2 rooms which is far apart from each other ( literally) luckily my kids love to be together and are sensible enough as they are grown up. the double room is spacious got lots of amenities like slippers and robes. whereas the other room simple ; the locker handle is even broken; but we don't mind they did explain no body can repair it that weekend. understandable the pool and spa, jacuzzi is not for 4-5 family so only very limited time; though you still need to pay to use them; picture taking of your family in the pool is very strict

The room was very spacious and clean. Big comfy beds. We were only spending one night as our car broke down and garage was closed so needed a bed for the night. This hotel was the closest, 26 min walk from garage. Lovely hot shower. Mini fridge to keep bottle of water cold for next day travel. TV with enough channels. Close to main road. Walking distance to pub, shops, retail park, takeaways, petrol station.

Nothing. I gave 9/10 only because I didn't get to try any meals. Had to check out quite early to get to the garage otherwise I would have utilised the 12:00 checkout time.

Room, bed and bathroom fine, given a ground floor room because of problems with walking. Not impressed by breakfast. Coffee flavourless and in a paper cup!! ( even though this claimed to be recyclable). Yoghurt very acidic Unlike any Greek yogurt I have ever tasted. I looked for fresh fruit, but wasn’t convinced I’d found any. Tried the pineapple, but it wasn’t sweet and was quite woody. Maybe the full English breakfast was okay, but I don’t like that.

Coffee. Paper cup. Yogurt and the fruit on offer.

A comfortable room for a family (one double bed, one sofa bed) with a fantastic walk-in shower. Very comfortable beds and friendly staff. Breakfast in the morning had a good range of options.

I don't think the fact we were getting a walk-in shower rather than a bath was advertised in advance; this didn't bother us, but it might others. Some minor upkeep issues in line with a hotel of this sort and general wear and tear, but not impacting cleanliness or comfort.

Disturbance in the evening from dog apparently left alone in room. Hotel is dog "friendly " which I didn't see on Booking information. GF standard rooms can be used by guests with dogs. If allocated a GF room it might previously have been used by a guest with dog.Akways ask for upper floor rooms to mitigate this risk. Even when checking in , I was not advised that my GF room could have previously been occupied by guest with dog. Not good at all.
