Everybody was great from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing so fresh and so tasty would definitely stay there again.

The only if I had to say one thing would be to please just change the mattresses and get new mattresses. We stayed in room nine had an absolutely amazing stay breakfast in the morning was fresh and awaiting our arrival couldn’t thought the place apart from the mattress.

The room was basic but very clean. Liked that the rooms are in a separate building to the actual pub, the free parking was great.

The mattress wasn’t the best, it was spring which isn’t the most comfortable and whenever one of us turned over, the other one ended up being bouncing which woke us up.

The Breakfasts very good. The food in the restaurant very good.

The main trouble WAS NO HOT WATER IN THE MORNING. Maybe having showers that heat the water as you need it ?

Great location for holiday break. Near Fishbourne Roman Palace and Arundel Castle and WWT wetlands site, all worth visiting in season. Breakfasts were great. Room comfortable with all you need and great shower. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I booked here specifically because they had electric car charging. However on arrival although there were 6 chargers all showed as offline on the Voltshare app, and no lights or screen activity on chargers. The staff did not know why. The cost, if working. would have been £1.50 per kWh, so double normal rate. Seems excessive. I was able to charge at BP pulse down the road at a local Vintage Inn pub at half that cost per kWh. Good food there too. so you can charge while you eat.

Room had unexpected touches like fresh flowers on the window sill and an overnight light in the bathroom which gave us enough room to see by on our nocturnal trips. Bed was comfy, plenty of tea, coffee and milk to go with the kettle, lovely and warm too, and very quiet. Evening meal, which I'd pre-booked, was an excellent value for money carvery. I liked the idea of pre-booking exactly what you wanted with your included hot breakfast - we had to hand in the form the previous evening - and everything was cooked as we arrived so was lovely and fresh. Friendly, helpful and smiling staff too.

Someone had unplugged the radiator in our room and with no instructions to be found it took us some time to work out how to set the time so that it would come on, but we got there eventually. The bedside lights had also been unplugged and we thought one of them wasn't working, only belatedly realising that they were the 'touch' types. We had an issue with the toilet, which unfortunately filled right to the brim when we flushed it so we were a bit scared to use it. Mentioned it to the staff when we left and it seemed that it was a known problem in that room that clearly hadn't been fixed on a previous occasion.

The Hotel is very well positioned and kept exceptionally clean. All staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The food is excellent, including breakfast and the Friday evening carvery (at an extra £12 pp). The breakfast is freshly cooked to order that is submitted the evening before. The accommodation is in an annex which makes for a quiet stay. The access is next to the car park and is secure, via a code on the front door and a key access to your room. There is a regular bus service into Chichester about 100m from the front door and a drop off on return outside the Hotel. The hot water is plentiful and the shower has excellent pressure. I would only make one constructive criticism above..

It may be time to renew the mattresses in room 4. The springs can be quite uncomfortable.

Although we had requested a quiet room, we were initially put in one facing the main road. However, the staff were very helpful in rearranging things so we had two nights in quiet rooms. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I would stay there again. I enjoyed the breakfasts.

We had noisy neighbours the first night, but I cannot blame the Woolpack for that. One room we were shown smelt a bit musty but the rooms we stayed in were fine. It has been a very damp year so far, so maybe this explains things.

The Woolpack Inn is a short drive away from Chichester train station which was perfect as we arrived on a Sunday evening. We received a warm and friendly reception and were promptly checked in. Once settled, we enjoyed a lovely drink and were able to take in the surroundings, my friend and I both agreed that the place had a good vibe. The Woolpack Inn itself is deceptively large with lots of seating areas, lovely decor and fresh flowers on each table. It is tastefully decorated and has a really chilled out ambiance. There is also a large family beer garden out back which was great for the warm weather. We were fortunate to attend the open mic night the following evening, we met some lovely people and enjoyed it so much that we were already planning our next trip down! The room I stayed in was nice and spacious, there was a fan, a heater, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Another plus was that there was a water cooler just down the hallway so we had ice water literally on tap - this was a godsend as during our stay the weather was lovely and warm. I had an endless supply of clean towels and the cleaners came each day, so the room was beautifully clean on my return from a long day of learning. My only gripe was that there was no hand soap in the bathroom, but I think they left all the toiletries in my friend’s room next door! Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay at the Woolpack Inn. The people running the place are so welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay there perfect. My friend and I are gutted that we’re going to miss the next open mic night!

Ordered 2 poached eggs on toast for both of us, followed by toast & marmalade. eggs were over poached, hard not runny and the bread was soggy and tasteless, as was toasted bread and what was an excuse for marmalade, I don't think it had ever been near an orange

The breakfast, worse than motorway meal, expect better when paying hotel prices. See above for rest of answer. Disappointing would not recommend Woolpack Inn Chichester
