The room was exactly what i needed for my trip, the bed was comfy but a little softer than i prefer. The bathroom was very spacious, and the room was clean with plenty of space. Sat towards the rear of the property there was very little noise, but some sound does travel through the walls. The breakfast was basic but very enjoyable. The bar serves nice food in the evening and has a wonderful local pub atmosphere.

I would have liked a little more choice at breakfast as the menu was mostly limited to what could be made with the components of a full English. While it does serve me alright it would make me reluctant to bring my wife in the future due to limited number of plant-based options available.

We loved everything about the property, the decor may be a bit tired, but all added to the authenticity of the building. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food is superb. Everyone from the landlords down to the locals are so friendly and welcoming. We were on our honeymoon, and intend to go back on our anniversary.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. If I was to nit pick, a chair in the room would have been nice, but not essential.

The property was lovely, we had a huge room, lovely bathroom with a bath. Our bedroom was separate to the pub so we like this too. We had tea and coffee facilities included. The breakfast offered was nice, we did stray off the menu slightly and the staff were happy to accommodate this.

In the bedroom we had tea and coffee facilities but unfortunately no plug for the kettle. There was a tv in the room, but it was far too small for the size of the room that it was hard to see the picture.

This pleasant pub hotel is located in a small village easily accessed from the Junction 17 of the M4 via A350 and is well signposted. There is free on site parking. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was comfortable, with free secure wi-fi. Food was good in the evening, as was the breakfast from 07.30.

The wi-fi kept dropping out and there was a person snoring in an adjacent room, that I could hear. I would prefer breakfast to be available a little earlier.

We had a great stay, staff were really lovely, the accommodation was lovely with a great outdoor space very private and peaceful. Everything you need for a comfortable break. The breakfast was great, the beer was excellent it was a real shame we didn’t stay longer. We are looking at booking for a longer stay in the new year and spending more time at the bar! I’d like to add that meeting mouse & widget was brilliant 👍

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We both felt very comfortable staying with them and confident if we had needed to ask for anything, it wouldn't have been a problem. Great food selection and nice atmosphere in the pub/restaurant.

The only issue we found was the pressure of the water in the shower. We recognise this may be down to the time of day we were showering. Made it difficult to wash my hair!

The full english cooked breakfast was superb. My wife & I's evening meal was great especially as we didn't arrive until 8.30pm & hadn't booked. The room was everything you need for an overnight stay, especially the shower which in some locations isn't always very good. The quality of customer service from the man in charge (not the couple who own it who were on holiday) was brilliant. I apologise for forgetting his name. He couldn't do enough for us. Thanks.

The only minor issue was that most of the power sockets were behind wardrobes & cupboards so plugging the kettle in & using the hair dryer meant we had to be creative!

The food and atmosphere in the pub were excellent, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We ate an evening meal in the pub - the menu choice was great and the food was delicious. There was a good choice for breakfast and the food was cooked to order and was lovely.

There were some dust webs in the bedroom, particularly around the light fitting. Besides this, everything was very clean.

Bed was very comfortable. Excellent food, wide choice for dinner, and generous servings. Wine reasonably priced. Breakfast well cooked. Room and bathroom well presented, good storage and nice to see "proper" furniture! It was quiet, and looked recently refurbished. The staff we met were very friendly and efficient.

There should be a handrail by the stairs, just avoided a nasty fall. Chairs in room not very comfortable. Had to put kettle on bedside table, as no other socket suitable because of short lead on kettle. Could have been a little more choice for breakfast, e.g. fruit, pastries, but it was very nice.

Very friendly staff both in the evening on arrival and in the morning. Comfy, quiet room. Few very minor issues with the room layout - but that would be nit-picking. Situated in a lovely friendly village, but very easy access to M4

Position of kettle with very short lead and inflexible TV screen - but these are very minor. Couldn't think of anything else!
