A lovely historic building full of charm. We were met with warmth from the staff when we arrived and were quickly shown to our room. Our room (1) was large, very clean and the en-suite bathroom well supplied with products. The shower was brilliant. The large bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast, although not included in the room price, was excellent. Freshly cooked and very tasty.

Maybe the parking at the back during opening hours.

The staff were welcoming and their response to a heating issue was immediate. The room had been recently refurbished. There was plenty of room with a good en-suite. The bed was very comfortable. The location could not have been better for a wedding in Grittleton House. Breakfast and an evening meal were very good.

We were not given a key to get in after hours but we were told that a door would be left open for us which it was not. We ended up having to get in through a storage area. Make sure you get a front door key. It appears to be a meeting point for early morning cyclists.

Really friendly staff and huge room with a massive bed which was amazing after staying in much more cramped places on this trip. Handy that there’s the pub with lovely food downstairs- the lovely manager there kept us a ploughmans in the fridge to have for dinner as the kitchen closed early on the Sunday so that was great! Also has a car park which was really helpful

The shower head was broken so couldn’t be adjusted to my husbands height and the hot water ran out in the morning but they’re very minor things

I went in with the expectations that’ll it would be just another room above just another pub but I was proved wrong in a very positive way. The room was excellent; comfy bed, warm, lots of storage, good facilities. The bathroom had been refurbished and was spacious. The staff were so warm and welcoming, the location next to a popular wedding venue is perfect (just a couple of minutes walk) and it represents excellent value for money. The pub downstairs is cosy and provides very tasty food, both at breakfast and dinner time. I’d rate it 9.5 if I could, and hope to stay here again in the future if I need to be in the area!

Couple of very minor points due to it being an old building: single glazed window means outside conversations and occasional traffic can be heard; would like a radiator or at least a heated towel rail in the bathroom as it got quite cold at night; it was very hard to tell if the bath plug (in room 1) was open or closed and water stayed in the bath for a while after using the shower.

My favorite stay when visiting the Cotswolds. I stayed there in 2022 and the place looks even better under the new management. The room is clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly and accommodated my wife's food restrictions for breakfast.

no complaints.

We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was very good, the staff very attentive to what we wanted and making sure we had everything we needed. We also needed to have breakfast earlier than the usual time for breakfast and again they accommodated this request and breakfast was served promptly. The lady serving us for breakfast was a delight, chatty and good fun.

There is a grumpy old man who lives in the pub car park behind the hotel. Be careful if you arrive at night in the dark as it isn't easy to differentiate the pub parking from the private parking and I mistakenly parked in front of his car thinking it was the parking space of the hotel owner. He was quite rude and abusive.

Comfortable and clean room, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful pub.

It was quite noisy until the early hours one night from the bar and outside area, which would have been fine except we had to leave early the next morning. The other night was totally fine.

Though this is a very old property, it was well maintained. Kitty and Ben were always helpful and attentive to our needs and a delight to work with. English breakfast was very good and prepared as requested. If we're every in the area again we would not hesitate to stay here.

Everything was lovely! The property is adorable, clean, cozy, comfy and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious!! The pub below is wonderful and yet the rooms were quiet above it. We will absolutely stay again!
