Very comfortable bed, and a lovely bath provided which was much better than my bath at home
Felt more cramped compared to others. We had booked a king room but got put into a family suite because apparently its booking.com they place us in the rooms. My sister was staying and she got an upgrade - she is on the loyalty scheme but her level was the same as ours (level 1) and she got an upgraded room for cheaper whilst we felt as if we got a downgrade. I blame booking.com for this, the hotel staff were lovely and accommodating and even gave us a free bottle of champagne. Booking.com should have no say on who gets upgrades and priority.

We don't have a car, used public transport from Bradford to Clitheroe. The hotel is opposite the railway station and a short walk to bus interchange, so ideal for us. The room was lovely, good facilities. Very clean. If you have breakfast it's over the road at Maxwells, highly recommended. Would stay again if in the area.
The host doesn't seem to be around much, the lady cleaning the rooms was lovely and helpful though. If you are techy there are lots of extras you can get via a QR code, we aren't. There was a number to ring if you needed anything but nobody answered when we tried.

Staff so very welcoming & accommodating, thank you. Very clean & a great location to explore Clitheroe centre & castle. Coming back after the lounge closes means using the fire escape but it takes you to the ground floor of the hotel side of the property. There are 2 hotel floors.
All the stairs, not accessible friendly. It’s a 150 year old property but didn’t expect so many stairs to get to rooms on the first floor of the hotel, excluding those if going up to the hotel side from the lounge area on the ground floor of the property. There’s 3 floors, ground is the lounge, floor 1 & 2 hotel rooms with stairs to them. Hard for elderly & those with mobility issues.

Welcoming hotel in superb location for public transport, parking, supermarket, shops; with friendly helpful staff; 24/7 access via fire escape when bar was closed. Quite an innovative unusual setup.
Superior rooms but had some weaknesses: e.g. no bathtub and only standard shower in very large bathroom with lots of empty space; no hooks to hang towels or dressing gown or damp/wet coats; services portal clunky and annoying; restaurant closed extremely early sometimes with little warning; phone line slow response.

Great size room, lovely decorated and nice little touch with the cookies. Fantastic location and great you can park there too. Really friendly staff who were very helpful.
We couldn't close the bathroom window when we got back, I think it was due to the paint, so it made the room really cold, plus it was very windy that night. I had to close the bathroom door all night but it kept rattling due to the wind. The large bedroom window also rattled a lot when windy, we ended up shoving packs of tea down the sides to stop it - that actually worked. Please also get rid of the bathroom toilet dispenser and just have a toilet roll holder perhaps? The roll was that tight you couldn't turn it properly and ended up just ripping tiny pieces of paper at a time. We ended up just asking for another toilet roll to put on the windowsill. You can't take it out of the dispenser as it has a locking system.

The room was pretty, loved the decor, the hand soap smelled gorgeous, everything was clean, plenty of toilet roll/towels ect. Right next to the train station so location is ideal. Staff were great, really helpful and seemed happy to help!
There were no blinds or curtains on the bathroom window, I know the window is blurred but the people in the beer garden definitely saw my naked silhouette in the garden and knew it was me when I left (from the colour of my clothes I assume) I didn't mind too much but other people will.

The Station Hotel was very accomdating and the owner went out of his way to make us welcome. Adding a card and ballon for my partners birthday. It is local to the town centre which is a lovely town. The room was nice and big with a comfortable bed, and a good power shower.
Nothing really. As it was a Weds and the hotel was shut I had to call the owner to let them know we where at the property, which really wasn't much of an issue as he was there within minutes.

It is very close to the railway station. I arrived late, just after 10pm, and the young man covering the bar was very helpful and informative, even though dealing with the accommodation side of the business is not what he usually does. They give you a carafe of water with lots of ice and fresh lemon and lime slices, on arrival, and that's a really nice touch. The room was clean, and quiet from the inside of the building. The shower worked well. I appreciated that it wasn't too warm - 19C - in the room when I arrived. usually when I arrive at accommodation the first thing I have to do is turn off heating and open the window, but this room was at a very good temperature for me.
The kettle in the room was low powered and slow to heat up and the cups supplied are quite small - no decent sized mug of tea! The noise from vehicles outside was quite high, especially in the morning.

Room was spacious, comfy bed, nicely decorated throughout. Staff went above and beyond. Super friendly and even gave us a lift to the wedding venue as we were running a tad late!
Tried to get in touch before our stay to arrange early check in but couldn’t reach them on phone/message. But this turned out not to be a problem anyway as they allowed us to check in early which was great. Shower head was dirty but the rest of the bathroom very clean.

We received free upgrade to a suite. There is a small private car park at the rear which we just about managed to squeeze onto. This is free and therefore better value than some other hotels in the town where have to pay to park overnight. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly.
Not so much did not like, but it is worth knowing that the rooms are located over a pub and additionally it is on quite a busy junction opposite the railway station and therefore some noise in the rooms is to be expected and tolerable for a short stay.
