Despite arriving quite late we were shown to the room. The room was cosy with a queen size bed which was very comfy. There were also a couple of easy chairs which made watching the TV a better experience than other places. There was also a mini fridge in the room which contained complimentary milk, orange juice and bottles of water. There was coffee/tea making facilities. I was impressed that it was coffee bags. The ensuite was also well appointed with free toiletries. It certainly was very dark in the room for sleeping. At breakfast there was a breakfast menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the eggs benedict. The staff were all friendly. There is plenty of car parking and it is a short walk to the remains of the Roman Baths.

Lovely room, very clean. Set in a very nice pub.
Confusion over breakfast timings - we were told it was available from 8 but lights were off and no one around. So we packed up and got ready to leave, as we were leaving breakfast staff arrived for 0830 start. A little bit of noise from pub and in-room fridge, but not so bad - earplugs would easily drown it out. We could not figure out how to switch off bathroom mirror light so it was on all night, which was a little bit disruptive. Not enough hooks for hanging. Limited vegan options at breakfast.

A1 place to stay, with good food at any time. Ideal to leave car in car park and just walk last hundred yards down the back street Greenside road into the centre of this charming small town, with its Roman Baths still there. Roman Museum antiquities. Lovely church of St. Wilfrid - and lovely walk to ancient church of St. Saviour on the hill. White Bull pub nearby has real Roman columns by entrance, and probably equally nice to stay in and eat.
Only thing: plastic sheets on bed. Pity. Not such a good comfortable bed as a result. Makes it too hard. I know plastic sheets make sense from a bed-wetting angle, but this is not a problem for us, They go to all the problem of a nice bed and probably a nice comfortable mattress, and then make it harder - and we have no choice. If they provided another spare sheet we could have changed it. But people will nick it, so I understand why they don't. That's modern life.

Lovely, inviting public house in Ribchester by the side of the river - great location for my trip to Blackburn with work. ( 20 minute drive away ) When I arrived I received a very warm welcome. On being shown to my room I was struck immediately by how plush the furnishings were. The bathroom was stylish and modern with ample towels and toiletries ( the overhead shower was divine ) The comforts provided were second to none … great selection of quality teas, coffee and hot chocolate. A teapot was also provided and a large bottle of water. The fridge in the room contained orange juice , small bottles of water and a small bottle of milk. I unpacked and headed downstairs to order food. Great pub , very friendly and accommodating staff and the food was superb Fantastic stay and would definitely recommend
As I was working in Blackburn I needed to leave at around 8am each morning. Breakfast was included in the price but didn’t start until 8-30am. I was however provided with a continental breakfast on a tray as an alternative so even this slight disappointment was met with great customer service.

Room was really nice & ready when we arrived, tea & coffee with biscuits in the room and fresh milk was already in the fridges which is always a lovely bonus, bar was well stocked with a good selection of hand pulled beer's, evening meals were nice & hot and although the pub was busy the service was really good đź‘Ť breakfast was nice with a good selection, I didn't get the names of any of the staff but all were helpful & very friendly
Leaving, wish I'd booked a longer stay, there's so many lovely walks we didn't have enough time, make sure you walk around the village it's very interesting

Wonderful location, gorgeously clean. Fantastic atmosphere. Lovely staff. I didn't want to leave. This is an exceptional and attractive pub / hotel in a lovely area. We are discussing next year and every reason to book again ♥️
The only thing preventing the Ribchester from getting a perfect 10 was: we didn't know when breakfast was and seriously - you could barely open the door to room 2.

I know the pub / hotel. I have stayed there previously and everything was as I remembered. Good. Simple but excellent breakfast using quality ingredients.
The rooms are well appointed. The fans from the kitchen are pretty noisy, though are switched off later in the evening. There was one small fan tumbling away all night -- not too bad, but something to be aware of. The TV was dreadful and kept losing signal, though it generally recovered. It seemed to trigger out when there was a lot of one colour, again indicating a poor signal. The green pitches on Match of the Day sent the telly into a real spin. I reported this so hopefully it is fixed.

staff are welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful. Could not fault. Breakfast was great and facilities in the room were good, bed comfy, bathroom good with walk-in shower. Relatively quiet, minimal road/carpark noise just slight disturbance from neighbouring room when they returned late and could hear voices through wall but not major disturbance.
slow, intermittent wifi in room. public bar/restaurant downstairs good though. Room very dark decor made lights essential all the time.

I stay in various hotels up and down he country for work and I have to say this was a gem will definitely be returning either for work or in my free time. Its such a lovely place with outstanding staff and surroundings, the food was lovely with plenty of choice and its the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel a wonderful big sleigh bed after a fantastically hot power shower what more could you wish for after a busy day at work.
Nothing to complain about apart from wishing I could have stayed longer

We know the area well, but hadn't stayed before at Ribchester Arms. In fact, whilst visiting the area, we only had bags packed as a just in case we wanted to stay over. The staff were welcoming - very - in a lovely genuine way that you often don't find and the first massive plus was seeing the room, beautifully designed with a few little extras, such as lots of good quality tea and coffee and fresh milk in the fridge, along with some orange juice and water. Food was a good standard and staff, again, were lovely, attentive but I want to say again that tis was in a genuine, non-corporate way and I hope everyone understands what is meant by this. Overall, a lovely surprise and we're looking forward to going back, pretty soon!
Hard to pick fault.
