Stayed in the back room overlooking the beer garden and the gorgeous countryside. Fantastic view. Room had everything I needed. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. THE BREAKFAST WAS INCREDIBLE. The nicest breakfast I’ve ever had cooked for me by anyone. Darren the Landlord is brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If my wife was knocking up food of that calibre for me I guess I would be very happy and relaxed myself! The pub itself is cosy and also has Sky Sports. The Biltong is also on point

Couldn’t fault a thing

when we arrived, Darren made us very welcome , showed us to our room ( which was brilliant, nice and big lots of tea and coffee provided the location of a small village with fantastic views in all directions was ideal. After about an hour we popped down to the pub for a meal which was really tasty and good value for money. the decor in the pub what with the log fire and traditional old fashioned pub atmosphere made it better next morning the breakfast was good and hearty not too mention very tasty and filling. definitely think about staying there again for our next visit next September for Clitheroe MOD event.

we checked in a little late but received a warm welcome and our breakfast options and available facilities were pointed out to us immediately. shown to my clean tidy room overlooking the pretty Lancastrian street. pub has a lovely garden and a real warm feeling throughout. great location. the breakfast was top drawer and was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious

We stayed at the Lord Nelson as we were attending a wedding at Mitton Fold. Darren made us feel very welcome, allowed us to check in early and sorted us a taxi to the venue. The rooms are clean comfortable and tidy and the full breakfast was excellent 👌 we are hoping to be back soon :)

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. We would recommend the Lord Nelson

The pub was in a nice location, nice walk for the dog close by. We arrived at 4pm to check in, the host was nice, booked us in for a meal in the pub, which was nice, beer garden at the back was lovely in the sunshine. Room was small, but ok for the night. Breakfast was included and was served in the pub, this was lovely, all fresh ingredients.

Shower was ok, not great, bit small, but manageable for 1 night. check in wasn’t until 4pm and check out was half 9 (although it says 10am on the website)

The staff at the lord nelson were very friendly, they made me feel welcome and like a guest. The place felt very safe and clean, the manager set the central heating for me in the two mornings so it was the right temperature throughout my stay. Honestly will 100% be staying here again. The breakfast was so clean (not greasy or overdone) couldn’t have had a better stay. Also very very quiet on the night and comfortable beds. Many thanks

the whole experience from the minute we walked though the door till we left the following morning. the staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. would certainly go back and reccommend it to family/friends

The welcome was warm, as was the spacious and comfortable room. The food was delicious and plentiful!

I’d expected a pub to have a car park but there wasn’t one so parking was a bit of an issue, but I did get parked on the road both nights that I stayed.

Stayed for 2 nights it was great had something to eat when we arrived the food was fabulous the full English for breakfast was everything that you wanted the landlord and landlady were very friendly I would definitely recommend this place for the money it was spot on

the professional and friendly proprietors, prepared to go the extra Mile to help the guest. A tasty well cooked full English breakfast. the property was set in a location for ideal peace and quiet.

the bedroom was cold when I first arrived.,There weren’t any biscuits with the coffee and tea. The TV was small
