Staff where really friendly and greeted with a very cheerful hello. Room was light and airy and the shower although slightly older style was definitely a power shower with plenty of hot water. A great way to wake up. The breakfast was excellent and the cook was super cheerful and really welcoming in the morning, she was a real credit to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. My partner is gluten intolerant and she made sure to have options available and knew straight away as soon as we gave our room number, no remining needed.

Not really, bed was a little too hard for us but that is probably a personal preference. Did not stop us from sleeping. Other than that, nothing negative to say about it.

Newly furnished, bright and clean. Facilities mostly good. Friendly and helpful staff. Hot food - cooked breakfast and dinner meal - very good.

Cold continental breakfast choices limited [but cooked breakfast good]. Bedroom had several, relatively minor but irritating, faults. Double bed not the comfiest and sagged a bit in the middle. Bathroom extractor fan only worked intermittently. Built in dispensers for liquid soap and shampoo plus paper tissues all empty. Personal gripe - fixed shower meant no flexible hose for easier and more effective showering. No door label for cleaning/don't disturb and the room was neither cleaned and the used tea/coffee cups remained.

The location was ideal for our needs - we stayed over as we attended a family wedding about 1.5 miles away at another hotel. It's also tucked just inside the entrance to a gated community. Hotel was clean, carpet in the room was nice underfoot, and the shower was quite powerful. The bed and sofa were comfy. The cooked breakfast was about £10 extra per person but it was worth it - nicely cooked and presented. The chef was very also very chirpy and friendly. Note that the cooked breakfast option is only available on the weekends.

I thought we paid a lot for what we got. A continental breakfast was included in the price but we didn't think it was great. The hot drinks were the same as the sachets we had in our room and the hot water (dispensed from a big thermal flask) was not very hot. I think it would be well worth investing in a coffee machine. Our bathroom needed sprucing up a bit. Our hot water tap was a bit loose and would swivel side to side when we twisted the tap, if we weren't careful.

Visiting Clitheroe for Grandsons wedding. Room 4 ground floor. We arrived about 12.30pm, as we had a good journey up the M6, we were due to book in between 3pm & 4pm but us arriving early wasn't a problem ... our room was ready. We were able to unpack, have a coffee & tea and relax before going to Billington to meet the rest of the family. We chose to pay the extra and have the full English on the Sunday morning, Room was spotless. Staff were friendly. We would recommend it to friends & family. There is also a hairdressers (Sedgwicks at Brockhall) just a few yards from the hotel which was very handy.

The cold weather ..... it was lovely and sunny with blue skies but chilly

staff very friendly on welcome which was lovely. We didnt have much interaction with the facilities or rest of the hotel as we were attending a wedding so only used our room and left early the next morning so didn't have breakfast.

The lights in the room weren't very bright and there was a lightbulb out at the far end, The taps in the bathroom might need looking at as the hot tap makes a strange noise and seems to struggle to get the water out. Shower was very powerful but I didn't like that you couldn't move the shower head.

Good room. It was on the ground floor rather than the first floor as requested. This said, the room was comfortable and quiet, so no issue. The team was happy to move me upstairs, but I agreed not to. As always, the welcome was good....and I enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine later on. Everything was clean and organised.

The overall ambience is good, though some of the rooms are getting bit tired. This said, my room was much better than some of those I have been offered before. The continental breakfast was well presented and fine, but I still like a cooked breakfast. I thought the evening food offer was poor. This said, I fully understand the staffing issues and costs v hotel fill.

My first room had a problem -- quickly and efficiently sorted by me being moved to another room. The room was quiet and comfortable, with a recently refurbished bathroom. Breakfast was only continental breakfast, but I knew this. I nearly missed it as it was late being set up, but then it was fine; even a pot of freshly brewed tea. Good value.

Having loads of kids running round the car park and sprawled in Reception (in the evening, not the morning!) I rather think their parents were enjoying a drink or two in the bar....

We spent a night away after our wedding to open our cards and gifts etc. The staff were friendly and the hotel had a really nice atmosphere. The village is beautiful and peaceful being with just inside of a gated community. The room VIP SUITE - Which we weren't expecting! was amazing! The beds were firm and supportive. The bathroom was brilliant! From the electric frosted glass to the mood lighting we were blown away. Even the swans in the shape of a towel was a very nice touch. We dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious and well presented. I would definitely stay again!!

There was nothing major. We had an amazing stay. However, i work in a hotel and do I did notice a few things. I had requested a bottle of wine and some ciders to be placed in the room before arrival as a surprise for my husband and this was not done. However it didn't affect our stay as we ended up visiting friends nearby anyway. Although the rooms were clean and beautifully presented, the air vents were incredibly dusty and had cobwebs and the TV in the Jacuzzi bath was none operational. And there was no cooked breakfasts on weekdays. These are all minor things. We really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel was small and very well located for our needs. Our room was very clean and comfortable and suited our requirements. The hotel is in a very pretty part of northern England. The staff were very helpful and friendly yet were very professional in their duties. The manager Howard went above and beyond when our taxi let us down and he volunteered by taking us to our destination. Full English breakfast was substantial, very tasty and exceptional. We are so pleased to have stayed at this wonderful hotel. I would recommend that you consider staying.

Everything was fine.

The property was clean and modern, with friendly and welcoming staff. The double bedroom I had was large enough for me, though I suspect a couple might have felt it a little cramped. it was also quiet at night. The bathroom facilities were good. There is a spacious car park. The property is about a 10 minute drive (or 30 minute walk) away from the Michelin-starred Northcote restaurant at Langho. The hotel makes a good base for touring the beautiful countryside of the Forest of Bowland, but a car is essential.

The bar and restaurant area were no better than adequate and became very noisy on the Friday evening with a number of small children rushing around without any apparent supervision by their parents. The hotel is not close to any other local amenities, apart from a coffee shop next door and the Black Bull pub, about a 10 minute walk away. The pub is quite pleasant, with adequate food, though once it gets dark, the walk to and from the pub is not well lit and the footpath is barely adequate.
