The hotel was very convenient for transport (bus & rail stations within a couple of hundred metres) and shops were close by. The staff were really friendly and the proprietor went out of his way to help, advising on the best places to eat, local services etc. The room was clean and tea and coffee were provided.

The hotel ground floor opens as a pub in the evenings but there is no food available (this is noted on the booking but I missed seeing it). This was only a minor drawback because there were many restaurants nearby including a good breakfast place just down the road (closed Sundays and Mondays). Music from the pub can be heard at a low level upstairs during opening hours.

I liked the over all accommodation and staff were excellent and very friendly. Cannot recommend the Castle as a venue on its own and if booking I'd definitely go through the Castle itself rather than OYO. Brilliant atmosphere and brilliant pub

though found OYO customer service to be awful tried to amend my booking several times via oyo and booking.com and got passed around via both ends, booking.com customer service assistant Nathaniel was the only helpful one by sending an email to OYO though I never heard back from Booking.com so I'm assuming they didn't get in touch. Ending up having to sleep on my mates floor for one night due to this and had to leave a day earlier than booked so I have lost money and value.

I was here for one night for a job interview in Accrington. The location was perfect and the staff were very accommodating, helping me find the local shops and a place to eat. They let me have the room for slightly longer so I could store my bags whilst I did my interview. The room was basic but ideal for my needs, and the beds were comfortable and the facilities more than adequate. A good stay at the Castle Accrington!

The hotel is above a busy pub. I actually enjoyed the general atmosphere but I could see it annoying some guests.

The nice touch was porridge oatz6left for you. However The fan did not work, the main light flickers which can cause a migraine to come on and the bedside lamp did not work. If these were fixed it would make the difference. Also was told there is parking but its on solid yellow lines which could incur a fine...not a good idea to tell clients there is parking when in fact there isn't any.

The broken items need to be addressed and the broken fan taken out of the room. The damp patch on the wall should be covered wirh a picture.

This hotel/pub is situated right in the centre of Accrington. It has ample free parking within a stones throw of the entrance. The Landlord and his staff were superb, really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy well fitted for a basic priced single room. Tea and coffee were provided as well as a breakfast (porridge pot). Breakfast was not offered when booked so this was a bonus.

Given that I paid less than £30 for the room and I found it to be adequate, the value for money aspect is probably the best I have found, therefore there really isn't anything that you could say could be done better within reason.

great location for a night out. pub was central to town and a close walk to the football ground. Beer was good and the staff were excellent, so friendly and made our trip a memorable one with their above and beyond service (even though the landlord was a Luton Town fan). Rooms were comfortable and clean and good value for money.

Only minor quibble would be no on site parking but close NCP or street parking is available, other than that no complaints!

clean, comfy, friendly atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble if you asked. location was brilliant from the station and for getting to the match. fairly quiet location. the bar had a nice atmosphere.

The only thing personally for me was the blanket or duvet on the bed was a bit on the small side and could do with being a bit larger.

Having stayed here before and suggested things that would make the stay better still no different room number 6 noise from traffic

Great room for a short stay!

Whist our door had a main lock to it, the outside door to the building didn’t meaning anyone could get into the building. Made me a little nervous! It was fine, but I do think another lockable outside door should be installed for safety

Location was very central and ideal for me. The suggestion for dinner was great as well. I think it was John behind the bar and he was very friendly and helpful.

Room was a bit noisy during the night but that's not the hotels fault just something that comes with the location.
