Great location, lovely double room, good selection for breakfast which was included in the room rate.Friendly staff.

Put the "to clean "sign out and a cleaning staff member saw me outside the room and asked if I need anything,I said no thinking she meant for now.I went out soon after but left the "clean room" sign on the door. When I returned a few hours later my room had not been clean or supplies eg toilet roll re-stocked. The hotel is also a pub/restaurant so you would expect a little noise but the Friday night I stayed there was constant banging from the outside/downstair door that went on for a few hours.

This is a very nice and well-run establishment. The room was a good size and the facilities and complimentary toiletries were of good quality. Efficient staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

My double bed was two single beds pushed together, so not ideal but could be worse. There was no Vegan breakfast option. It was a little galling to see people enjoying a large fried breakfast as I ate two Croissant (which contain milk so not ideal for me) with a cup of tea. To be fair, they did have oat milk so I could have had cereal if I wanted. This limited-style menu extended to evening meals, so overall not a vegan-friendly establishment. This is a shame as I probably won't choose to stay there again, I've marked it down a point or two for this reason. If this changes I will happily visit again no problem.

We booked Dunkerleys for our wedding anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. We received a warm welcome and after quick check in were shown to our room. It was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Although near the stairs and kitchen we did not notice any noise. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. Breakfast was very tasty well cooked (especially the poached eggs) and with good quality produce (very nice bacon). We ate twice in the restaurant and again the food was very tasty well cooked and presented. The quantity and quality was excellent. The wine selection was varied and well priced. The bar was comfortable and well stocked. Throughout our stay the staff were friendly helpful and very efficient. They realised it was our 35th anniversary and made us a plate with a chocolate picture and several truffles which was very kind and much appreciated

To have stayed longer.

Dunkleys is an old-fashioned hotel and restaurant/bar, but in a good way. Excellent friendly service, delicious food, well cooked and presented at a good price. They don't do fast food and are always busy, so patience is a must, but it's worth it. Our room (Channel Suite) was large and bright, with a fantastic view; the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. It was all a little dated, but that was quite comforting in a funny way.

The Channel Suite needs updating the breakfast room is airless in the heat but apart from that, it's a really nice hotel.

It was a surprise to us after booking one of their cheapest rooms, that is was very spacious and well provisioned AND very comfortable. And another surprise was that breakfast (and a very tasty one at that) was included. The location could not be better as it is right by the pier in Deal - which was where we went for a lobster special evening. However in passing the dinner in the hotel looked good so we will probably eat in next trip.

At first there was no hot water in the room, but the hotel staff soon fixed that for us. There is also no parking, but there is a parking lot a 100 or so metres away that is Ringo App controlled so that one can extend it as required.

Lovely room with sea view, en suite with tea and coffee making facilities. Comfy king size bed. Newly decorated with new hall stairs and landing carpets. Great breakfast inc in price. We also ate in the restaurant for the two evenings of our stay and the food was great. Great location, minutes walk into town and nearby parking. We have stayed here many times and always enjoy our stay.

No real complaints although the price has increased as everything has, but is still comparable to other accommodation in the area.

Homely, welcoming, quintessential British seaside feel. Staff have clearly been professionally trained, it really shows and made our interactions with them very pleasant. Lovely comfortable bed. Location of hotel excellent.

Rooms on the 2nd floor need refurbishing. Comfortable but dated & tired; a mish-mash of furnishings from IKEA and a secondhand shop in our room. Wardrobe rail so high that I couldn't reach it.

Food was lovely. Staff friendly.

We were in room 16. Bad smell on stairwell from toilet & in our bathroom. Location of room above kitchen was very noisy from very early in the morning. We had to leave window open as it was very hot. We did ask if you could open the oposite window so we could shut this 1 to block out noise but this wasnt done. We did ask if you had a fan we could is but you didnt come back to us.

Good range of choices, and substantial English breakfast. Comfortable bar and lounge area with good food. Excellent anniversary restaurant meal, keeping up the reputation for fish. Fresh towels every day. Friendly and helpful staff. Good sea-front location. Pleasant town centre nearby, with many interesting small shops.

Location at a busy road junction - but you can't do anything about that ! Also, crossing a busy road to get to and from the Coach Yard car park, and the need to watch the parking meter time, particularly in the morning. A free - parking pass for hotel residents would be a great asset as you have no private parking, or at least a free hour up to 10.00am

The staff at Dunkerley's Hotel are fabulously friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are efficient, hospitable and extremely hard working. The hotel's location is ideal as it overlooks the beach and the quality of the food in the restaurant, both at breakfast and dinner, is excellent. The room size is huge with loads of storage space and the bath and shower facilities are great! There is great outside space too to enjoy a drink from the well-stocked bar whilst listening to the wealth of local music talent who play in the paved area next door to the hotel.

It would be useful to have a Do Not Disturb sign to hang on the door. I also think there should be a tourist information leaflet on places to visit during a visit to Deal placed in the room. Room 1 is directly over the restaurant and consequently you can hear voices and music until c. 11pm if people are eating late so bring earplugs!! Salt and pepper weren't always set on tables and I found the evening restaurant menu quite limited as opposed to the bistro menu. Wine selection is good.
