The room was lovely and spacious and decorated beautifully. We had everything that we needed including kettle, hairdryer, ironing board and an amazing alarm clock that was also a phone charger. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful and made you feel very welcome. Stunning views from our bedroom window and very quiet. Very much enjoyed the curry night meal on Wednesday evening, the food was excellent!

It was a shame that food is not served on a Monday and Tuesday evening as we had planned to eat at our location on our first night of arrival (Monday). This was not a huge problem but a courtesy email to let us know that there was no chef on a Monday or Tuesday would have been appreciated, so that we could have made alternative plans sooner as were also meeting a friend.

Lovely, well equipped, large room with nice view of garden. Lovely breakfast and evening meals. Friendly helpful staff. Free parking over the road.

A bit tricky to get too, down a few narrow country lanes that were only wide enough for one car. However, once we were used to the journey it didn’t seem so bad. Evening meals aren’t available on a Monday or Tuesday which we didn’t realise,as the booklet in the room stated available every night. As we arrived on a Tuesday evening we were looking forward to eating in the pub but instead had to go searching for an alternative in Deal. Definitely need to amend the information in the booklet.

This was a night's stopover before the ferry the following morning. We arrived on the Sunday and had no problems at all parking (The allocated parking is opposite the Inn on the other side of the road). It's situated in a quiet village, about 15 minutes drive to the ferry. As it was a Sunday evening, the pub restaurant was closed, however we were given takeaway menus, provided with plates and cutlery and ate our takeaway downstairs in the restaurant area. Phil was very attentive and helpful. The beds were comfortable and room facilities were excellent for the night's stay. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you! Overall a very good stay that we would recommend and we would definitely choose this option again if needed.

Large, bright and clean room. We opted for breakfast one morning, which was lovely, freshly made and bespoke to our requirements. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The only thing I COULD suggest as an improvement, was to have a larger bed (currently a double), there's more than enough space for it, in such an open room. This is only my personal preference due to us having a bigger bed at home. I honestly couldn't fault anything else, especially for the price we paid.

ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL , AND WERE ALWAYS READY TO SPEAK WITH YOU . OUR ROOM NO.3 WAS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND A VERY GOOD SIZE , A PLEASURE TO STAY IN . BREAKFAST FOOD WAS FRESHLY COOKED AND A GREAT SELECTION . EVENING FOOD MENU HAD A LARGE SELECTION AND WAS VERY TASTY , ALL FRESHLY COOKED FOOD . PUB HAS A VIBRANT ATMOSPHERE AND IS FULL EVERY NIGHT .

TO BE HONEST I DO NOT THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING THAT I DID NOT LIKE AT ALL . BEING VERY PICKY A COUPLE OF THE DISHES ON THE MENU WERE NOT AVAILABLE ONE NIGHT BUT THAT WAS DUE TO BEING UNABLE TO SOURCE THE INGREDIENTS .

Everything from the friendly welcome, through the pleasant suprise of finding such a well-equipped room to an excellent evening meal exceeded our expectations. The bed is extremely comfortable, there is an oversize flat-screen TV on the wall, more than enough power outlets and a modern bathroom with an excellent shower. It is definitely worth having an evening meal here, the choice and value for money of the food is incredible. It was also good to have a choice of three hand-pumped beers. This is definitely our new no. 1 accomodation in the Dover area.

The inn is a little bit off the beaten track at the end of a number of narrow, windy lanes (but the reward for getting there more than outweighs the stress of the drive!). Unfortunately we only stopped one night and had to leave for an early ferry, meaning that we had no chance to try out the breakfast.

Welcoming staff/hosts were great. Personable, accommodating & friendly. Room was immaculate, cosy, well thought out & ticked all the right boxes. Breakfast was fab & great value. Would happily stay again & recommend to others. Gutted we didn't get there earlier to use the pretty beer garden or sample the highly recommended local dairy ice cream!

The establishment & staff were lovely. Forgot to mention a clothes hook 🪝 in the bathroom would be handy. The narrow lanes to get the venue were a little hair raising, although we did arrive late evening in the dark after a funeral reception. The exit journey in the morning daylight was more serene.

We had a lovely mid-week stay at The Plough Inn. The staff were so friendly and helpful with tips on where to visit while we were there. It's a good location to stay with parking if you want to visit the areas of Deal, Sandwich, Folkstone etc. Everything is not that far away by car. Our hosts, Roy and Brian are very hands on and welcoming to guests. The pub attached to the inn is a real country pub, popular with locals and their dogs and very friendly.

As the week went on, the pub and inn got busier toward the weekend, so just a little noisier, mainly from the guests in neighboring rooms. We were in a twin room, the beds convert into a king. The only downside was that they were a little narrow, otherwise very comfortable.

Loved the room, it was so comfortable and pretty. There was a complimentary toothbrush set which although I didn't need this time, was a brilliant touch as often I've forgotten my toothbrush. As there are no shops anywhere near by that was very handy! The TV you could sign yourself into netflix etc so that was great. The food was excellent and really reasonably priced we were going to go out for dinner but changed our mind when we got to the pub and saw how lovely it was and ate well for 2 of us for about £50. The breakfast was brilliant, and for guests of the hotel it was only £8 for all you wanted. The pub was very friendly and a lovely place to spend the evening.

There wasn't anywhere else locally to walk to, a shop or to be able to walk to the beach. But we knew we were going to a country hotel and for that it was perfect.
