This HOTEL IS BY FAR THE BEST i HAVE STAYED IN IN EASTBOURNE... and I am hard to please and impress.....New beds, new pillows , lovely cotton sheets new pillows , quilts , all quality ,curtains, new carpets newly decorated , Bright and airy ,Great nights sleep .. simple but elegant , I will be staying here again, friendly staff, very welcoming and professional, super clean , smells great ,,,this is where to stay, many other hotels in Eastbourne are tired, old carpets , creaky uncomfortable beds, do not smell nice are in need of redecoration and refurbishment , And have cheap bedding and towels,, The strand TICKED ALL THE BOXES FOR ME, I met the owners , a young dynamic married couple, I wish them all the best , a great team and great hosts, Thank you and well done ... see you next time Mark Triance

I liked Subhan the front office manager He really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable We had a few problems and when we moved our room he didn't make us feel guilty He really looked after us and as it was my other half 70 birthday treat He made it special for us The sea view room with a double bed was perfect and whilst we slept we could hear the sea which was really soothing Thank you for this treatment Subhan you are so human and efficient

The first room was far too small but it was okay for the price It was hard to understand how to get the subtitles off the TV it didn't seem to work

I didn't expect much going by other reviews but was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The staff were welcoming and helpful. My room was clean, there was no smell of smoke at all, and there were new beds, carpets and paintwork. I gather this hotel is under new management in recent months, and the changes they are making seem very good. It's in a lovely position by the sea, with nice walks in either direction along the seafront. It was good value for money for it's position. I would recommend staying here.

The bathroom could do with being updated in time, but was fine.

Characterful old hotel right on the beach. We went for a swim before breakfast, and we could hear the sea from our beachfront room. Very clean room and quiet at night. The whole hotel has just been renovated. The staff were super-friendly and cheerful and welcomed us at 11.30 pm and opened the bar so we could have a nightcap.

Could do with more individual character in the decoration as it felt a bit functional in the common parts, but very simple and tasteful.

The room was immaculate and we was told that the whole hotel had just recently been refurbished.

When entering our room it was really warm and no air conditioning so we switched to a bigger room with two big windows and they gave us an electric fan, there wasnt any drinking water so we had to go and buy our own and breakfast wasnt available either, but the overal appearance of the hotel was really clean and well maintained.

I really liked the kindness of the staff, the comfort of the rooms... everything was excellent.

The negative comment I have is that we asked for two rooms one for our son and one for my spasp and me and it turned out that the room we were given had separate beds, but therefore everything was fine.

Staff were excellent - Subhan, Nadia and Felipe. Lovely welcome from Subhan and they are all very friendly and helpful. Nicely refurbished - beautiful tiled floor in communal area. Lovely bar. On seafront and close to town. Room was small but very comfortable bed, cosy and spotlessly clean,

Could do with fridges and aircon as standard. Not a major issue but would be an improvement.

Overall, the property is quiet which for me is good after a whole day at work exceptional staff and in particular a massive thanks to Abdul in reception who always greets you with a smile and goes out of his way to help the customers

Recently refurbished so very clean and tidy. My room was very quiet Very impressed by the size of my single room. Decent room facilities Comfy bed

Was on 3rd Floor but lift not working so daily excercise but not great for infirm guests. Bugbear of mine but bouncy castle polyester pillows feathers please.... Rooms, bar and limited evening meals only, no breakfast was a disappointment.

The hotel was situated 10 mins from the pier. The room was a good size.very quiet.close to the town and buses.the bar was very pleasant.didnt eat there as not keen on pizzas.they have a pool table. Friendly staff and had fresh towels and tea coffee everyday.

The toilet and sink was bit close together.
