Friendly helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble.. they are very accommodating. Comfortable beds and rooms with a sea view. Fourth stay at this hotel. Hotel will store luggage before check in if you arrive early and after checking out so you can collect before you are ready to leave.

It would be nice to be offered tea or coffee at the breakfast table once you are seated instead of having to ask for it at the breakfast bar and to be asked if you would like any toast when getting your cooked breakfast or allow self service again to help yourself.

Stay was Short but we enjoyed staying at this hotel . Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast duration time quite long 7 to 10AM. Breakfast had lot of items including Fruit, Drinks, Egg, toast Beans and Butter and Jams

Should have staff to take luggage of geusts to their rooms. Should provide decaf Coffe & Tea. Should have two chairs rather then one. Should provide small towels as well.

A multi national staff that were really good in every way possible , anything you asked for was dealt with straight away . Extra pillows , extra milk for the room , parking pass all dealt with immediately with a smile on their faces . The owners have assembled a great team . The breakfast was first class , cooked to order and far better than a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels we have visited . The bed in room 303 was extremely comfortable .

The hotel requires the corridors and bedrooms redecorating as do a lot of properties following Covid , however it was extremely clean in the rooms, and communal areas with the staff doing what they can with an older style property , it was not a problem for our party .

As we are a disabled couple the staff at the hotel could not have been more attentive and helpful. Always willing to help and always with a smile on their face. Massive room so plenty of space even with our dog and both mobility scooters in there. We enjoyed the breakfast plenty of variety, hot and cold. They have just reopened the restaurant for evening meals but we didn't realise this until the last day so didn't get the opportunity to try that menu. All in all no complaints and we would be more than happy to stay here again. The new owner, who we met on our last day and got chatting to explained he is gradually trying to upgrade and restore the building so please don't let the outside put you off staying at this gem of a find .

Only one thing that could have improved our stay would have been a chest of drawers in the room. There was very limited storage space.

This stay exceeded our expectations. We booked a room for one night rather last-minute to attend a gig, not expecting to be wowed due to the great value. Our room was large and clean, with a fab sea view. I was worried about the noise due to the room being on the first floor next to a busy road, but nothing disturbed us during the night. The bed was also huge and comfortable! A delicious cooked breakfast served until 11am was included, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is obviously right next to the beach, close to the pier and about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre, the train station and some interesting shops. We had dinner at Rustico Neapolitan, which was very good. I would highly recommend Shore View - thanks for a great stay!

The exterior of the hotel is a bit tired and could maybe use some re-vamping.

I had a sea-view room. Full English breakfast was served as well as gluten-free toast. The location of the hotel, on Marine Parade was ideal for beach viewing, near the main Pier and various cosmopolitan shops nearby and a short to comfortable walk to the city centre shops, restaurants, pubs and the Eastbourne railway station. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly.

An on-site bar was not available as standard. It would’ve been nice to have an evening tea or drink at the hotel. One could have tea in the room, but sometimes a more comfortable setting is preferred. They do open the breakfast and bar area for special occasions or when it is hired out by groups, so not all that bad.

The room was a surprise and I wish I'd got to the room much sooner in the day than I got there to make the most of the room! I loved the shape and large size of the room, all the little nooks and windows with views, the bed was comfortable and it was a comfortable relaxing and peaceful space to be in with no noise from other guests due to the location of the room. Of course the location was great for watching people and looking out to sea as well as stepping out and being directly opposite the beach. I'd definately choose to stay here again! The breakfast was included. I had cooked items for breakfast which I chose from a buffet breakfast and it was decent but the temperature of the food not hot! Staff I came into contact with were polite and smiled.

Breakfast not hot enough. A rather concerning sight to see a young man standing at the entrance to the breakfast room who had his eyes closed initially, no facial expression and rather like a guard guarding a castle. I did feel concerned about this young man and as I saw another older male breakfast service member of staff talk to him he showed no response on his face. Something wasn't okay!

The location was great and the entrance looked really nice and modern. Our room was certainly spacious enough for both of us and was very clean and tidy! The bathroom was a nice size with a bath. I would recommend a slip mat as it can be quite slippy. I liked that our room had a small balcony and it would have been nice to open those doors as it got quite hot in the room due to the glass doors. The bed was really comfortable though and did have a good sleep. Pillows a little on the thin side, but I actually found them very comfortable, so no complaints there. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, with both cooked and continental. Made a lovely cup of tea! Would stay again if the opportunity arise.

The only thing I didn't like was that one of the reception staff was quite moody, and when answering questions, it didn't seem like he could be bothered to answer. Oh, bacon could do with being a touch crispier as personal preference. The fat was far too raw for me, and I wasted that. Other than that, no other dislikes.

The breakfast staff were very attentive and food was great. Room was nice size.

Bed was on wheels and moved every time you sat on it. Needs to have wheels removed or attached to wall. No shampoo provided and towels and duvet very thin. Front desk staff need to be friendlier. Although we had a great view it was spoilt by the fact that the windows had not had a good clean for months perhaps longer.

Opposite beach. Check in and out times good. Breakfast good. Hotel Ideal for a short stay. Price.

Shame that seaview not best from room because of the windows. I don't think it is possible to clean them up.
