The Dinner in The Tudor Pass was first class and was well above our expectations especially the 'Reverse Menu' concept was really really inventive by the Executive Chef. The wine pairing was first class and produced some really interesting combinations.

The quality and skills variation of some of the staff was and is unacceptable at a 5 star establishment. The Bar Staff in particular were very poor in their execution of providing a correctly mixed cocktails and Pimm's with some struggling to provide even the simplest of drinks. The appearance of some of the staff was very poor, almost scruffy, ill fitting, trousers, shoes and general their general presentation again unacceptable at a 5 star establishment. The suite we had was a little tatty in places and did present value for money.

The room was lovely. In a new building and had plenty of space and air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great.

Breakfast was very disappointing. We were told that it was a buffet when we arrived. Many things were missing and not replaced while we were there. We had to ask for toast. There was no selection of jams or honey - just some clear red jam in a little glass bowl. Who knows what it was. After we had finished eating we saw other tables had ordered eggs and eggs Benedict. This wasn‘t offered to us at all. The other issue for us old folks was that there was no telephone in the room. Just a tablet with a QR code - no instructions on how to use it to contact the front desk or room service. In fact we used it to order a bottle of wine, got a confirmation of the order, but the wine never showed up. We weren‘t billed for it so obviously we did something wrong!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Lots of history and original features. Front of house staff amazing, warm, friendly and extremely helpful.

The bar service was extremely poor, waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged or served. The main restaurant we waited 5 minutes to be seated and this only happened when a colleague told the manager we were waiting to which he retorted “I’m busy” his colleague told him we were guests, some 2 minutes later we were seated. we ordered including drinks and these took 25 minutes to arrive along with our starter. A bit of a Faulty Towers experience wrong cutlery etc. However the food was good but certainly not value for money.

Fabulous building, beautiful and historic. Wonderful gardens, a real delight and superb outdoor heated swimming pool. Huge incredible room (once we’d got an issue with the size of the bed we’d booked sorted out, thank you Reception). Good food and lovely staff, especially James in the Grill Restaurant and our Barman (sorry didn’t read his name) serving by the Moat seated area.

The Airplanes re Heathrow, but it didn’t really spoil anything.

Standard of cuisine and service in Tudor Pass restaurant was superb. We booked for this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we’re not disappointed

We were disappointed that our room did not have a bath as my partner was looking forward to a relaxing “soak” that afternoon. I should probably have checked when originally booking but all our previous stays had incorporated a bath. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was very slow. I think staff may have forgotten about us as other guests who arrived after us were served quite quickly.

Exceptional atmosphere in a classy setting in one of the most beautiful small villages in Europe. The gourmet dinner we well worth the price and was a true experience worth sharing. The grounds were beautiful and the golf course, while overall an average course, did have 4 amazing and memorable holes. Definitely worth playing if you have the time and don't mind the cost.

Rooms were up one or two sets of stairs, which fortunately the two couples were still able to navigate. However, in future, being seniors, I would suggest any other seniors request rooms on first level, which I believe exist. There was no elevator. But the staff was available to help with our luggage.

Very attentive service from the minute you walk into the hotel reception. Someone escorts you to your room and even offers to carry your bags. Breakfast - It was by far one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had in a long time. Felt like it was cooked to order rather than pre cooked and kept warm. Amazing to see in this current period.

Courtyard could do with better lighting when travelling back to your room at night. Ground is uneven and I'd imagine presents a risk to someone who is not so firm on their feet?

The overall look of the hotel and gardens is amazing, such a cool place to be.

Food and drink seemed to be a little over priced and service not as quick as would be expected. Booked 6 King rooms to attend Ascot, received 4 King rooms and 2 single rooms for the price of 6 King rooms, when queried was told it was Booking.com's fault. A number of rooms seemed tired and in need of a spruce up, but it was only one nights stay.

This is a lovely hotel, with a superb Michelin starred restaurant, wonderful and helpful staff, a very good outdoor heated swimming pool and a spa with high quality treatments. Breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. It's a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

The decor and furniture in the bedroom and bathroom is very "tired": drawers that do not fit, scruffy top around the wash- basin, chipped furniture and chairs that have seen better days. This was not a serious issue, but it was noticeable and at these prices, a disappointment. It is all a matter of whether the Owners are content to rest on their laurels and reputation and stay a 4 star hotel, when, with appropriate investment, they could turn it into a 5 start one.

Most of the staff of the hotel is amazing. The hotel is beautiful located. The room was according to the rate oké. The food and cocktail in the bar where great (thanks Tony). They also found a good spot inside the building for my bike. The breakfast is of good quality and there is plenty of choice.

In the evening I spotted some ants in the bathroom. I didn't give further notice, but in the morning my whole room was full of those small insects. I had to clean all my luggage. I mentioned this of course when checking out, but the only reaction was: 'Must be the weather I presume?' Even though it was my most expensive overnight stay by far this week, it wasn't the best one at all. Hope my foster listen better to my complains.
