We have stayed here before, the hotel is always clean and comfortable, with amazing views. We had a free up grade, so got a room with a balcony. We was kindly offered a complimentary bottle of prosecco, but as we don't drink we kindly turned it down.

The breakfast used to be excellent, but not the same choice now changed to warners, i found some members of staff , also didn't seem happy in their work. Was also housekeeping knocked on our door just after 9 on Sunday, i was in bathroom, my partner still in bed, and she just walked in. I preferred this hotel much more when it was for families, had a happy atmosphere.

The weather was great so I was able, albeit for half an hour, to use the outdoor pool, on arrival. Shame it closed at 6:30. I had a good swim & a lovely walk along the river, before breakfast. The aircon enabled me to have a comfortable nights sleep. I felt thoroughly rested from my short stay which was much needed. I always enjoy staying here and the staff are all very pleasant. Travelling on this occassion on my own, as I have done 2/3 times is never uncomfortable at this Hotel. The dining room staff are all very pleasant.

The suggestion of having to pay for herbal tea at Breakfast is rather trivial & unnecessary in my view! Slippers used to be in the wardrobe with robes, which made sense. Why are they now hidden under the bathroom sink?! They only get noticed when you happen to sit on the loo !

When I arrived there was a huge queue for check in. Parking was also problematic as the building works is on going. A nice lady came along the line and gave us a glass of fizz to ease the pain of check in. It was all good. I had a deluxe double with river view. I also had two balconies. The room was lovely with the added bonus of robe and slippers. I love this hotel and always stay here when in town.

The AC was not working or hardly at all. The tv kept freezing. In an upgraded expensive room you expect all the facilities to be operational. I reported these to front desk and they assured me they would be dealt with. It did not spoil my stay.

The hotel was lovely, undergoing works but this is mentioned on all sites when booking so we knew what to expect and as we both work in construction, we understand that construction is important when making improvements! The hotel was so clean, the staff were amazing, the spa was great, the food was incredible. I have a few food allergies and the chefs were amazing, walked me round the buffet explaining what included what, etc. and if I wanted anything which included nuts or fresh fruit, they could make it for me without those ingredients which was amazing and hugely appreciated. It was my boyfriends birthday and the staff, including the chefs came out to sing Happy Birthday and gave him a dessert with a little 'Happy Birthday' chocolate on it. Our room also had a birthday card for him and cookies which was a lovely, personal touch. We went on the boat, I booked this for my boyfriends birthday and he loved the experience of driving the boat, just us two and exploring the local area via the river - thank you to Paul for encouraging us!

We struggled with turning the air con back on, the unit was so loud and the room was absolutely boiling so neither of us slept particularly well. We could also hear someone coughing all night in the neighbouring room so the rooms aren't very sound proof.

Stunning interior with a lovely room and super comfy bed. The staff were extremely friendly (especially at the restaurant). Buffet for breakfast and for dinner was incredible with great variety of options to choose from. We also paid for the afternoon tea which was lovely and very filling! We also used the spa which is free for guests to use (make sure to take your robe and slippers from your room to the spa but they do provide towels). There are loads of beds to use at the spa and it wasn’t busy at all (we went during half term week so expected it to be busy). Overall such a pleasant stay for my sister’s 30th birthday and we will definitely be returning!

Nothing to dislike about the stay!!

The hotel had such a nice feel to it (even with building works going on). It's such good value for money as we had breakfast included and use of the spa which was great. The room with the river view was lovely and everything was so well thought out. Very clean and great location right on the river!

There were a few things out of action in the spa which seemed a shame when you're paying to use them. The opening hours for the outdoor pool etc are a little late which doesn't really work with check out times so means you don't get full value for money.

The room was on an upper level, very spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There was a large buffet selection for breakfast. We did select the bed and breakfast option. A good assortment of fruits, yogurts, pastries, cereal, meat and cheese, as well as hot meals such as the English Breakfast. The staff were very friendly and ensured you had all you needed. Location was good, we did ride a bus then walked to the hotel upon arrival at the airport. The walking part was about 15 mins. Which we did not mind after sitting on a plane for 8 hours. There are also trails, and sites nearby to visit during your stay. I wish I could comment on the spa, unfortunately we did not have the time. There appeared to be a good selection of treatments available.

All was good!

Wonderful stay at Runnymeade. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The use of the spa facilities were great, relaxing, everything was clean and well kept. Really enjoyed the breakfast options (buffet of continental and full english, veggie sausages, fruit, cereal). I did not have dinner so cannot comment but it did look like fresh buffet style (potato salad, salads, pastas). The room and the bed were comfortable. Great location, rural with views of the river. Every member of staff took pride in their service from Housekeeping, reception, chef, etc. Thanks for a lovely stay!

There was nothing to be unhappy with. Great stay.

Freshly refurbished room was very comfortable with added extras such as bathrobes and slippers. Lovely toiletries although a body lotion would have been good.

Buffet dining area was very badly organised. Veg and potatoes were not replenished very quickly. There didn't appear to be anyone checking this so we had cold plates with meat on and had to stand quite some time for veg by which time meat was cold. Little touches like the gravy and condiments being put at end of buffet rather than beginning would have meant you didn't have to go back through the queue to put them on your plate.

it was a lovely place to stay, we will be returning next year! it was beautifully decorated with a duck theme! the facilities were nice, clean and refreshing. The hotel and spa are beautiful. we were upgraded to a superior room which was spacious and decorated eloquently. on the coffee table in the bedroom was a note saying our names and happy 5th anniversary with a bag of Brownies for us. the restaurant gave us an anniversary desert too. They went above and beyond to give us a great anniversary and they really didn’t disappoint! the staff were so so friendly. We had a lovely lady called Brooke who served us at reception who started our stay off with a really friendly welcome. My partner and I both had a facial treatment and the beautician was again friendly and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. She was really great! the restaurant staff and pool staff were also equally as nice and welcoming. The spa facilities are fantastic with 3 saunas, an infrared room, steam room and 2 plunge pools. they have a hot tub and a nice big swimming pool. With so many treatments to choose from. We wished we could have stayed for longer. experience was 10/10
