Modern room with contemporary furnishings. Had good facilities eg tea and coffee, hair dryer, and really appreciate the air conditioning. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen and towels were clean (and appreciated having two hand towels). Also had a modern furnished bathroom with waterfall shower and modern fittings included a heated mirror which was very useful. The staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold food - recommend getting there early for maximum freshness of the hot food items. The reception area and main staircase was clean. The hotel is conveniently located and has ample free on-site parking.

The balcony needed clearing of pigeon detritus and cigarette butts.. There was no bottled water (the hotel had run out - staff were apologetic). The shower tray had what looked like ingrained dirt stains, so although it had been cleaned, visually it did not look great, which was a shame as it was a nice shower (and bathroom).

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel really welcome and special. We booked two rooms, as my son and family were coming with us (we were going to Kynren). The rooms were scrupulously clean, with some really nice little touches (like chocolates on the bed). There was also a sofa and a window seat in our room On the landing were some extra male and female toilets, and also a table with extra tea, coffee, sugar, milk, etc, plus a fridge containing bottles of water and fresh milk The breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, with lots of choices I can not praise this place enough. I highly recommend it, and I would definitely stay here again First class

Fantastic. Great service, polite and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. We arrived with two very sleepy children and were able to go from booking in to bed within minutes. Will definitely use this as our choice of places to stay when we pop up to see family again. Thank you!

Nothing we didn’t like just a couple of ‘would be lovely ifs…’ A lamp in the upstairs bedroom of the cottage would be handy. A couple of spare pillows in a wardrobe would have been useful. There are some cobwebs lurking in the cottage but nothing that caused us a problem (just something we noticed).

Our rooms were very spacious and well laid out. it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We felt it was definitely one of the higher end places we’d stayed. I was pleased there was a lift as we were on the first floor. We absolutely loved that there was a balcony in both rooms, and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. I needed an Iron in a panic as my dress was crumpled and a really helpful young lady went straight down to get it for me straight away. There was air conditioning in both rooms which we found very comfortable. The beds were super comfy. There is also ample space to park right out the front.

To be honest it’s only a little thing, but the hot water was boiling (my youngest is 2years old and the next child was 6) It was too hot for them to wash their hands. so I got them to use cold, in actual fact it was too hot for me too. but again, it’s hardly a complaint just an observation and it didn’t ruin our experience.

Room and bathroom were clean, spacious and well furnished. Heating was on, and was adequate. Plenty of parking. Convenient for town centre. Bed was comfortable. Good quality ingredients for the breakfast buffet, which included branded cereals, fruit, juices and a good range of cooked English breakfast items. The bacon and sausage were of good quality, so no skimping to cut costs etc.. Considering that the hotels didn't appear to be that busy and there weren't many people actually taking breakfast at the time, a good effort of the staff's part. Staff were also very friendly and engaged with the guests during breakfast. Suitable for a one night or short stay if attending an event etc.

Not the place to stay if you are looking for a hotel that you intend to spend a lot of time in the hotel, but it served it's purpose for me. My accommodation was in an annexe building away from the main building. It does appear that some of the rooms are used as permanent accommodation for local residents. Some people might find that uncomfortable/off putting ??? However, this didn't cause any issues or inconvenience for me. Reception was eating her dinner at the front counter as I was checking in. I realise people have to eat, but it does not give a good first impression. Alex Pollizzi would not have been impressed. None of this would put me off using the hotel again if I needed a one or two night stay in the area.

I stayed here in preparation for an interview local to the hotel. Finding the hotel was a challenge to say the least. If you are not coming from the Kings Lynn direction, then I am sure you will see the sign directing you to the hotel. If you are not, then you are stuck as sat navs just dont see it, even with all the road works I had to turn around to find it. The welcome by the hotel staff couldn't be better. Really professional, communicative and helpful. I couldn't ask for me after a latterly stressful drive trying to find the hotel. I had a ground floor room which was just perfect, easy entrance, good heating controls and thankfully a very comfortable bed, highly recommended. All areas very clean. Dinner was just what I needed, a great prawn curry with rice and naan bread. It couldn't be better. The breakfasts are pre-cooked and understand why, hot plate though would have helped. For me having hot food on cold plates just doesn't work. I appreciate that having hot or even warm plates is hard to manage, but for the customer it would make difference having potentially warm bacon and beans on a cold plate rather than a very cold one. I would highly recommend staying here. Once you know where it is, it is a good stay.

Please improve the signage on the main road. It is fine as you can see it from one view on the High Street direction, but not the other. Both Google maps and Sat navs just didn't find it. I was almost keen to drive home, approx 180 mins away as I couldn't find the hotel. Having hot plates for breakfast would make a real difference to the plates being served, cold plates with bacon and beans on toast when the toast is warm isn't great !!

From the outside it is very 1970's and looks a little run down and the inside is a little dated this is not but I have to say all the staff were increadibly nice and helpful. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of room and space to make a longer stay very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and had a very good nights sleep. Nice and quiet was not disturbed. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was nice but could do with being a little hotter. Plenty of parking that was not a problem and a good location.

No information in the room about the local area. Also there is a restaurant on site but there is no information on display or in the rooms to let you know what is served and what the cost is. The breakfast hot food could do with being a little hotter.

Ideally situated in the town centre and close to shops and amenities. The staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I particularly liked the option to have a packed lunch rather than breafst. We have already booked our next visit

Only a minor criticism the bedroom floor was a bit dusty but that sometimes can't be helped with laminated floors

Will come back. Honest hotel. We got what it says on the tin. Thank you.

We did not give top rating to "facilities" because: (1) NO SOAP DISPENSER NEAR SINK IN BATHROOM. ANNOYING TO HAVE TO GO INTO SHOWER UNIT TO GET SOAP FOR WASHING HANDS, FACE, etc (2) NO POWER POINT FOR MY ELECTRIC SHAVER. I WENT TO MY MEETING PARTIALLY SHAVED!!!

The Hotel was warm and welcoming. We stayed two nights and found the room very spacious with balcony, plus an amazing breakfast. The location is ideal - It is within walking distance of shops, restaurants and pubs plus the river Nene runs through the town. It's also convenient for reaching many of the fishing spots in the fenland for my partner.

Nothing in particular on this stay.
