This was the closest accommodation we could find when attending the 2023 Open at Royal Liverpool GC. It was unfortunately a good 40mins away from the park and ride facilities but we had limited choice as our previously booked hotel cancelled on us. The positives were the price, the charging facilities for our EV and the decent hotel restaurant. The staff were also very attentive.

The family room was very basic. The extra bed which was set up for our 14 year old son was very uncomfortable for him. The room was advertised as a family room, when really it was just a basic double bed room with a fold up bed.

We stayed for 3 nights as we were attending the British Open Golf at Hoylake 27miles away. The hotel was easy to access and locate. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel was clean and well organised. We could not have had a nicer base for our golf trip. The breakfast is superb and the restaurant in the evening was lovely.. well cooked and very tasty food. If we go to this area again, I would not hesitate staying here.

The restaurant and bar are very welcoming and relaxed and the staff are very nice. The rooms are comfortable and a nice accessible parking.

Lovely hotel, fabulous suite with sofa & chairs,TV,fridge, coffee machine in lounge, huge bathroom with walk in shower, electric but powerful, roll top bath etc and big bedroom with nice views over the fields. The restaurant was kind of noisy but the acoustics in so many places these days seems to increase the ambient noise levels so its not unusual. The menu was limited but covered all the bases, I had the chicken breast with red wine jus and it was absolutely delightful, very tender and the jus was fabulous. Breakfast was buffet style but very nice and again had something for everyone. A great stay and would definitely return when I’m next in the area.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Paul who showed us through to reception. Jackie on reception was really friendly and helpful. We were early so went through to the bar were we were seated and our Prosecco was served to us at the table. Views are beautiful from the bar and it was a lovely, friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Spa facilities are great and ideal for a girl’s weekend. I treated my friend to a massage for her birthday as y surprise which was great. Our room had a view across the fields with sheep grazing in the sunshine. Restaurant was lovely and food great and generous portions. Breakfast was so good with plenty of choices for hot or cold food. We will definitely be returning!

The Treatments we had were great! We both had a Massage in the twin treatment room and I had a Gel Pedicure also. 💆‍♀️💅 The 2 Treatment Ladies were fab 👌 other staff onsite were also very helpful and polite.😊 Food in the restaurant was lovely we had a Sharing Plater Burger which was very nice and we enjoyed a taste of cocktails from their good selection on the menu. 🍸 🍔 We also had room service for our breakfast for a little extra treat to ourselves arrived for our chosen time.🍽

Genuinely impressed. There were toiletries (like little bottles, not industrial handwash type pump), the towels were fluffy, the tea and coffee facilities had plenty of milk and even galaxy hot chocolate sachets! Bed was comfy too, and we were a little bit late checking out and they were absolutely fine with us. There were sea views! I’d return.

TVs are not smart, but that’s a really really minor “if you could” to be honest

The faciilities were great. Having access to a spa and health club at such a good price. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great as well. The burger and especially the thick chips I would recommend.

Very small , I wish the beds themselves wouldn't be so bouncy. Personal preference. Slightly better sound isolation between the rooms would be useful but it was definetly not distracticing or prevented us from a good sleep.

Good, roomy, modern bedroom and bathroom (quiet, at the back of the hotel, facing the hill side). Friendly helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant. Fast EV charging on site. Conveniently located for touring.

Logging into the EV charger was difficult. Far too complicated and no staff member was available who new how to operate it. At the front the hotel is noisy due to proximity to main road.

Excellent location for exploring the local area. Staff were very professional and hard working. Breakfasts and evening meal were delicious and to be recommended. Room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. There was always plenty of hot water for showering plus free toiletries. We were very impressed.

Location was good although nothing close by within easy walking distance. The outside terrace was great and the restaurant comfortable. Staff were great and food excellent - recommended the fish and chips (but you'll need a healthy appetite).

Walls between rooms were thin and you could hear mumbling conversations from next door. Shower was difficult to control re: temperature
