Northop Hall is a lovely historic building and it’s set in some nice grounds in a peaceful location. We only stayed one night whilst travelling through the area, but it was clean and comfortable with a very helpful young lady working the reception desk. The shower was very welcome after a day travelling with plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable.

I’m believe there is some ongoing renovation at the hotel and it is clear there is some need of further work. There are no restaurant or bar facilities (this was mentioned in advance) and not much to do in the evening as a result. There was also a slight musty smell to the room (101) which indicated a past plumbing leak perhaps.

The hotel and its grounds are beautiful. Such a beautiful quiet area. Good parking. Receptionist was so helpful and kind. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm. The stair case leading up to the rooms was magnificent proper old Manor house just as I like. Check in hours are good, check out time is good as it gives you time to get yourself together. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The shower was a bit cramped, the kettle was attached to the plug so you had to disconnect the plug every time you filled the kettle. The plug sockets weren't near the kettle so I had to put it on the floor. The bar wasn't open and it wasn't advertised as being closed.

A lovely hotel in beautiful gardens. The beds were comfortable. The showers were very powerful, very good pressure. Tea, coffee, sugar and real milk provided in the room. Daniel on reception was extremely helpful. The restaurant isn't open at the moment, but there are plenty of fast food outlets just a short drive away, we grabbed a kebeb and ate in the lovely gardens, perfect. We had a great stay. Thank you.

Dead spider in the kettle was a bit of a shocker, but was easily remedied.

The room spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The building is beautiful.

It was a somewhat surreal experience. The building is being renovated but the work didn't cause any inconvenience. I think I was the only guest as I believe the building is being renovated for a specific purpose. There was no-one on reception, just one worker who didn't speak much English. He rang a woman who instructed him which room key to give me. The building has clearly had a glorious past but all the rooms - restaurant, bar etc were closed (I was made aware of this before booking). Not a place with any of the usual hotel facilities, basically just a clean and comfortable bed for the night.

It is a very quiet area and the hotel is quiet and relaxing. The staff are friendly, polite, and always happy to help with anything required. Although some aspects of the hotel are under refurbishment, such as the bar and restaurant, it is a 20-minute walk to local shops. There is a local beauty spot about 15 minutes away. Ewel castle.

It is very hard to get a local taxi for some reason, which limited my stay as i needed to go into Mold town centre and to a local gym for a swim.

Really was expecting a hell hole, seen the reviews but took a chance. This was the closest cheapest hotel to where I needed to be so went for it. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised, room was big it was clean. The bed was great, the water hot definitely so much more than I thought. Yes it is being refurbished, but I didn’t hear a sound. Will definitely be a first choice not last when I’m next down in a few weeks.

Very good Value, was clean and the shower .,which was tiny.. was really good and powerful. Big spacious room, noise travelled a bit but I didn’t much notice, it had a little character.

No breakfast, I guess made it cheaper at £61 , teeny shower so what £61 It was a long way to get to your room. An exit nearer the far end of the building would’ve been good but I guess it could be abused so I get that.

The accommodation was clean and spacious.

Had too put my bags across the bottom off the door, because off the lights in the corridor, and in the morning ie day break early morning it was bright at 06:30 hours. On starting our break the coffee and tea + milk was poor, and no notice off any refills.

Everything was perfect. I had a problem with the bathroom so they upgraded me to a different room which was splendid . Staff were more than accommodating so I stayed a few more nights!

The heating in the bedroom & unsite was poor especially that outside was -4 and my room was really cold and staff didn't have spare electric heaters.

We realise the property is being renovated. The room was small but OK. The ability to have a microwave and fridge was good but this is an opportunity to improve on.

Toilet was cosy and there were no shelves in the bathroom for things.
