Set in a lovely area with bar and restaurant on site. Beautiful hotel with a grand reception area. Rooms are spacious and nice to have bath and shower option in small but well presented and clean bathroom. I stayed last minute on a Friday night, in a room located above the bar. Obviously, there is going to be some noise, but it wasn't that bad as the noise didn't prevent me from getting an early night.

I stayed last minute on a Friday night and did have issue parking as the fairly big car park is also used for the restaurant and bar, so expect some difficulty if staying over a weekend. Especially if they are holding a wedding while you stay. The room it's self was nice but showed signs of water damage in one corner of the room. The radiator in the small bathroom is always on, with no way to turn off, which made the room very stuffy. The heated towel rail was also hanging off the wall and didn't look very safe. The bedroom was also very warm, even with the radiator in the room off and window open. The main issue I had was the massive gap under the main door. Not only as a safety concern but also noise from the hallway. I had to stuff a towel under the door to block the gap.

We use this hotel quite often and we always find it great, they are gradually refurbishing areas and up to now those areas are lovely, it's relaxing and the staff are so friendly, the latest area to be done is the breakfast area and I must say a lovely job and they serve a superb full English, locally sauced ingredients.

Only problem for us was they have replaced the pots of coffee in the breakfast room with coffee machines, easier for staff who work incredably hard but not for coffee lovers like us, the coffee was hot but didn't really taste like coffee, but a small thing in the scheme of things.

Before arrival I was contacted as a bit of an issue with the booking. No ones fault just we needed a family room but also one on a low floor for my Mam's difficulties. My options were made clear and the staff member was lovely. It was just a "tough make do" she found solutions for any eventuality so we were fully prepared on arrival. After booking in a member of staff left her meal break just to help carry luggage upstairs. This wasn't expected yet very much appreciated. The room was a good size, and so comfortable. My Mam got a little bit cold even with the heating on and when mentioned in passing to reception more of a moan about my mam than the hotel haha the staff straight away got an additional heater and brought it straight to our room. Again not expected but very grateful. Breakfast was a feast, and so good! Definitely recommend! As we attended for an event the function itself was pleasant. The bar staff were lovely, efficient too. The wait staff were polite, I noticed nothing was a bother with any requests and they went out their way to make sure everyone was happy and had what they needed. These were all hotel staff and represented it well!

Room and staff were really good. Entertainment on Saturday night was free and she was a good singer. Staff were always friendly apart from the young man behind the bar that needs to stop calling the paying customers mate or pal. I think he should be calling them how he was trained I hope.

Our shower was rubbish. It had no power. Also a coffee maker was supplied, but hadn't been set up properly so we couldn't use it. Think someone needs yo ensure it's working for the next customers. It takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Peaceful location, but only a short drive from the A55. I was attending a concert at the Tivoli in Buckley in the evening, and again it was only a few minutes drive away. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Food and drinks in the bar were good. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Only thing I can think of was that the windows/frames were probably original, and weren’t double glazed - however this wasn’t a problem for me as the location was quiet so I wasn’t disturbed.

We often stay here when visiting family who live locally but this was a late booking and stayed in the executive suite as there was nothing else left. It was a very lovely treat I have to say. Room had recently been renovated, big, spacious very comfy bed and lovely bathroom :) The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Nothing, always a great stay. Its a popular venue for functions and coach trips and so very busy and lively.

A good hotel for an overnight stay. Good value. Clean. Nice surroundings. Breakfast was good - although I prefer fresh orange to the concentrate used in machines. Great that there was fresh honeydew melon available. Altogether a lovely breakfast dining environment. Room clean. Hairdryer good, but no iron.

The single beds seemed small. I prefer a larger single. Pillows were great, with a choice of 2 types. No water in room, which would have been a really lovely touch :)

Welcome on arrival, spacious room for us and dog, able to take dog into restaurant was a must for us, only objection was extra payment of £15 00 as our puppy is not left alone and crated in the room !

I fully understand some pet owners may abuse the facilities but as a good owner feel to be penalized with a £15 00 additional charge is an insult to all good owners. Drunken people can be more of a problem then a well behaved dog and owners. In Other countries they take a retainer and only return it if everything is left as expected. Hope you will think 🤔 about this and all other hotels and cottages that do take dogs have a welcome little pack in rooms on arrival, dog bowl and a few treats in a doggie bag as pet friendly places to stay.

There was lots of choice for breakfast. We had an evening meal in the bar which was very nice good value and service was very goid.

It was exceptional cold in the room when we arrived. The curtains didn't fit the 2 big windows in the room too well. We slept with the heater on all night the rooms are in need of refurbishment. We have stayed here a few times before and it serves a purpose for visiting family nearby. All the staff are friendly polite and helpful.
