We liked the separate bedroom and lounge, the sea views, positioned at the end of the hotel corridor, so no noises from rooms next door. Good choice of breakfast foods, friendly staff, evening meals in bar and one in restaurant. The pool is a decent size and the water temperature is very welcoming. The jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were all equally satisfactory.

We pre-advised it was our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. On arrival there was a plate with two minute cakes & the same again on the actual day. We are surprised that larger slices and a small bottle of wine/'fizz' are not given in acknowledgement of such milestones. Otherwise everything was fine.

Brilliant location. Lots to praise: Lovely sea view room and one of the most comfy hotel beds you could wish for. Plenty of car parking space and excellent gardens.

A few niggles, that if rectified would make the hotel attain an excellent score: Breakfast: Buffet style is acceptable but the variety of 'Continental' items was not up to the standard of a Beefeater attached to a Premier Inn. Toiletries in the room: No individual tubes. Just dispensers. This is not acceptable in an up market establishment. It appears that the establishment is cost saving, but in doing so, they devalue the experience. Considering the price of rooms, this is false economy.

Very well kept. Good facilities and good food. Nice ambiance and welcoming when returning from a long day out. Easy parking and not too demanding in term of getting suitcases to and from car.

One of the computers at reception was very slow and froze on one occasion leading to everything taking longer than it should have done. Also a simple order for Sunday newspapers was not fulfilled correctly and papers were then delivered every morning after that despite us speaking to reception every morning to try to stop it. They then tried to charge us for the papers but when we spoke to them on check out they checked the system and agreed not charge for the unwanted papers. A minor thing but an indicator that something is not quite right. Other than that everything was fine.

A really lovely hotel. The hotel carried out my request of a quiet room with a sea view. The room was a lovely size and nice decor with a large comfortable bed. The layout was most pleasing with a large bathroom. All areas were clean and in good repair. I found the staff courteous and respectful at all levels. The breakfast was nicely laid out with lots to chose from and the staff were helpful in advising me where things were and the additional options available. I was a little worried after I had read some poor reviews on this site however I am more than happy to give them a good review.

I was more than happy with the hotel so I have no complaints.

We had a lovely welcome and quick check in and were absolutely delighted with our upgrade to the Romney Suite which was a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, fantastic bathroom and lovely scenic views of the grounds and distant hills around Hythe town. Also good to have bottles of chilled water from the fridge and good tea and coffee making facilities. Our evening meal was delicious. The spa facilities were good and the massage with Zoe was excellent.

Very expensive drinks in the bar. Would have liked to have had hot chocolate sachets in the room. The buffet service breakfast was just o.k. Could be improved with more choice and some table service also. The ladies changing room and showers are in need of updating.

The location was beautiful and the hotel was stunning. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The taps in the bathroom tended to spray you with water if you didn’t turn them on just the right amount and the bed seemed to slope to the side. There is also a £50 charge upon arrival however there seemed to be some confusion between staff what this was for- we were told by the member of staff checking us in that as we booked through booking.com it was for ‘security’ (and when queried what this meant couldn’t explain further) but the member of staff next to us was explaining to other guests at the same time it was taken so that if room service was ordered or spa treatments booked it automatically went out of that instead of incurring other charges. It sort of felt like because we used booking.com we somehow were more likely to cause damage to the room?!

Parking ample directly outside hotel. We found all the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way for us. Every time we visited the communal ladies on the ground floor, it was being cleaned. Thank you, everyone.

This hotel was renovated a couple of years ago, but some things are beginning to become tired. Eg Loo seats need attention as they swing round, in room and ladies. Breakfast was nice, but for the price could be improved. Fruit salad instead of a bowl of fresh fruit. Croissants. Vegetarian hot food options. A notice to say dairy free milk alternatives are available (we had to ask)

Hotel is nice. Beds were fine, room was a little small and quite hot but there is airconditioning. The accompanying hotel restaurant (Coast Restaurant) is amazing! We really recommend that. We stayed overnight in preparation of crossing the Channel to get back home. The food in the restaurant was to die for.

The hotel is a little outdated and there is only so much you can do about that after a while. Their account via booking got hacked which gave us the unpleasant surprise of getting a phishing message via the app of booking.com. Not necessarily the hotel's fault but something to be mindful of in general when booking with booking.com. Always call the hotel first after you receive a message in which you are asked to do something.

I was very pleased with the room. I had a good nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with both shower and bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Could not ask for more.

The restaurant was dire, the steak inedible the mushrooms cold and the chips were like yesterdays heated up. I made the mistake by not complaining that night because it looked like the next table looked like it was a very special occasion and I did not want to spoil it. The breakfast was disappointing and very expensive for what you got. I would go to the hotel again but would not eat there.

Our standard room was big and spacious and seemed to have been recently refurbished. It looked just like the photos. The room had blackout, floor to ceiling curtains which meant we had an excellent night and weren’t woken up early in the morning by the light. The room also seemed to have good sound-proofing. We happened to stay on a night with a wedding and our room was right near the wedding venue. But once we were in our room, we couldn’t hear a thing. Really enjoyed our stay. Forgot our swimming attire so didn’t sample the spa/ swimming pool. Would stay here again if back in the area.
