Owners were AMAZING! We arrived VERY early and Debbie could not have been more accommodating. We decided to walk along the beach/boardwalk into town, and enjoy the beautiful day. When we arrived back, our luggage was brought back to our room. Debbie and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and forthcoming with recommendation and answers to our many questions. The room was very spacious and clean. She arranged our taxi. Wish we had more time to stay and explore Folkestone. This is a gem - would love to stay here again.

Kitchen was closed for dinner for a private party, but we walked elsewhere. It was a little disappointing, but does not change my opinion of this great spot!

Brilliant location. High St interesting with a range of restaurants. Good level walks along a paved prom the length if the beach: good for anyone unsteady on their feet or for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The Shuttle and Folkestone ferries are only about a ten minute easy drive away. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Ensuite facilities also immaculate. Parking shouldn’t be a problem: if their carpark is full, there is a very reasonably priced public carpark just a few minutes’ walk up the road.

Nothing really. Be aware there might not be food in the evening but this isn’t a problem as there’s a very good fish & chip restaurant across the road. Also a good variety of restaurants in the high street. The Indian restaurant was good and very reasonably priced.

Hospitality was excellent. Lovely atmosphere and welcome from the hotel. Great rooms- clean, spacious, lovely power shower, comfy bed. Plenty of hangers for clothing. Free parking for our 5 motorbikes during our stay. We had a fantastic fish and chip supper, and rhubarb crumble with cream or custard, on arrival followed by a wonderful selection of drinks at the bar. We were only going to stop 1 night on our journey to Belgium. It was so nice we decided to stop again on our return journey home. When we returned we had a fabulous seafood salad for our evening meal followed by lush homemade desserts. And of course, ...drinks from the bar. In the morning we had a huge full English breakfast with toast, cereal , juice , tea/ coffee too. A feast of food which set us up well for the days riding home. The locals were chatty and interested in our journey. The hotel was a 3 mins walk from the beach so ideal for a lovely walk and some sea air. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Royal Norfolk Hotel for making our trip so enjoyable.

Nothing.

Friendly staff. The rooms are all clean and freshly decorated. Comfortable beds and tea and coffee making facilities available. The food is well cooked and presented, and the servings are large. The bar is old style floor boards, chairs, and tables. The regulars were friendly and easy to get on with. Their is a separate dining room, or you can eat in the bar area if preferred.

There was really nothing I found to dislike. My wife felt the same. If anything, the entrance could do with improvement, but it was more than made up for by the bedrooms.

Very handy for Channel Tunnel, just 10 minute drive from terminal. Owners extremely kind, waited until 11.45pm especially for our (3 1/2 hours delayed!!) arrival . Our suite ("Castle View") was really lovely, recently refurbished, clean and very well appointed, bed very comfortable. Good "full English" breakfast.

Hotel has only 7 dedicated car parking spaces which are not reservable, first-come-first-served. On-street parking is available though at rear of hotel so not a deal-breaker as far as we were concerned.

lovely pub/hotel. the lovely woman who checked us in and served us behind the bar was a highlight. really friendly and, made us feel very welcome, she’s a bit asset! the room was also perfect for our needs, very clean and a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed.

we were initially worried about how little parking there was, be booked based on the free parking at the hotel but there is only a few spaces and they were full when we arrived. fortunately someone left soon after we’d checked in so we did get a space, but it gave us a little stress working out where we would have to park if a space didn’t become available.

The hotel was very nice. Looked as if it had recently been refurbished, very tastefully done. It was spotless. Excellent customer service ( I've been in customer service for 20 years) Lovely food. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is situated on a main road, easy to find but can be a little noisy through the night, although you did have an option to change your room if necessary. Parking is a little limited but the owner went out of her way to sort a parking place for us.

The room was clean and, considering what we paid, a good size with comfortable beds and a seating area. The bathroom was also a good size for a budget room. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. There were warnings in the hotel in formation about traffic noise but we found it tolerable. The recommendation of the fish restaurant opposite was much appreciated.

The heating was not on in the room when we returned after dinner so sitting up there in January was not very comfortable. Instead, we watched TV from the bed. We tried to turn it on but did not ask for assistance.

Everything worked out wonderfully and we spent a pleasant evening outside in the beer garden. It was under a roof and therefore we didn't care about the rain. The rooms were really fine and especially the bathroom was very spacious. There was everything you need. The owners/staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, we can't say anything about the breakfast because we left without breakfast to catch an earlier ferry in Dover.
