The room was as expected with everything as per the descriptions. The beds were comfortable and all the facilities and provisions were as detailed on the website. The bathroom although small, had everything required and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The breakfast was superb - many options and choices available for both hot and cold options and the host was great. Free Parking. Just a few minutes walk from the centre.

The main locking door to get into our area of rooms didn't seem to be working properly. The bathroom appeared to have been painted, but there were lots of areas where they had 'missed bits'. They should also have updated the shower tray seals, which appeared broken and unsightly.

Very Friendly staff which was welcoming, and ensured our stay was comfortable. Great food in the pub, nice bathroom and comfy beds. We had to leave before breakfast was officially open and the staff set us off with baps and drinks to go! Plus they provide a fan which is always a huge bonus.

We had to traverse the pub game area (pool table/dart) to get in and out of the room hallway, which was crowded (understandably) with groups of young people, but made it a little awkward going and in and out easily. Also, not being able to leave the building after the pub closed and was locked up was a bit off putting.

All the staff were very welcoming. The food brilliant well presented tasty and good portions. Our waitress was lovely and helpful with our food choices and knew the menu well. The restaurant was clean and airy. Our ensuite garden room lovely as we also had a table and 4 chairs on the enclosed patio area, ideal for our 2 dog's. Good size carpark too. The pub was very busy when we arrived but it's a good sign it's extremely popular with the locals and visitors alike. Would we stay here again? Most definitely and mega thanks to everyone.

Nothing.

We booked a room with a private courtyard, perfect for us. Amazing breakfast. Staff were just so nice and friendly!

To reach bedrooms everyone needed to pass through a communual door which banged. Many people passed through that door way past our bed time and it repeatedly banged and disturbed us!! 😫 Soft closure attached to the top of door would be amazing for future guests 😉

All the furnishing in the room felt new and/or well maintained. The room was very clean. Though there's a lively pub downstairs and a lot of traffic around the location, the room was fairly quiet. We really enjoyed being greeted by friendly, professional and helpful staff upon arrival, at breakfast and at departure. The breakfast also far exceeded our expectation in terms of the quality of the ingredients and how it was cooked.

The duvet was the only part of the whole experience that we actually didn't like, it felt very plasticky and not breathable. And a hint for light sleepers, it is an old building, so there is the possibility of hearing your neighbours if there are other / louder guests staying there as well.

The room, while basic, was clean and very comfortable. Bathroom had good shower. The cooked breakfast was very good. The selection of cereals (which I didn't have) was very limited, but overall good value for money and served by very friendly staff.

I was very happy with the accomodation, but there are a couple of things to point out. The rooms are above the bar, and if you are an "early toi bed" type might be a problem. It didnt bother me. The pub is on a busy road and although quiet at night can be a bit noisy from around 6.30 am. Again it didnt bother me. Lastly, they stop serving food at 9pm so if you will be arriving after this you'll ned to eat before you arrive.

Breakfast was very good, with a selection of cereals, orange juice, fruit and croissants for self-selection. The cooked breakfast (vegetarian in our case) was well-cooked (non-greasy) and they were very accommodating with switching items etc, and asked if we wanted extra toast or anything else once we'd finished. Cafetière coffee was good, and I heard someone else order espresso, so they seem to have all caffeine needs covered. It's only a small venue with a few rooms so the choice wasn't huge, but more than adequate, and I got the impression they would have gone out of their way to accommodate any additional requests as far as possible. The venue emailed in advance to warn that they had a special event on over the weekend we were staying and that there would be live music, but the room seemed well insulated and we had no problem with noise.

Our room was not en-suite, but had a separate private locked bathroom just a couple of steps across the corridor. This was the corridor to the entrance/exit, though, so I did bump into other guests a couple of times, and it did involve some rather noisy jangling of keys when going to the loo in the night! However, bathrobes were provided for comfort and privacy, and the listing did make clear that the room was not ensuite and priced accordingly so no complaints about this, but it's worth being aware that there's a chance you might encounter other guests as you go to and from the bathroom.

The room was spacious and very nice, comfortable and plenty of storage. Was just a bit warm as it's in the loft space, the only downside was there wasn't enough toilet roll for 4 people so had to ask for for. We had dinner there on both nights and the food was exceptional, so much to choose from and so tasty and they give you plenty. Breakfast was very nice aswell but second morning they were a bit slow for which I told them.

They need to make sure someone is in the restaurant of a morning to seat you at your designated table, on our 2nd morning 3 single people didn't sit at there tables and sat at our table which was made up for 4 so we had to sit on a table made up for a family of 5 so they had to sit somewhere else, I did tell the manager.

The location to the venue i was attending was very good . The accommodation had a car park which was excellent . The bar down stairs was very busy but did not hear anything in my room which was also a bonus if you wanted a drink and something to eat . My room was very clean and tidy and lovely and comfy and a good size . The room was lovely and warm all day and night even though it was very cold outside which was Excellent . The room also had a private patio outside which would be great in the warmer weather .

The room was perfect for 2 adults and a dog with the little courtyard outside perfect for him to play in & stretch out. The extras (ie water, biscuits, top up coffee etc) were a really nice touch. The shower was great. The breakfast was good & plentiful. Dinner on our first night was excellent. The staff really really friendly & welcoming. The pub overall had a really nice vibe & close enough to walk to town, up to the common or along the canal.

The only downside of our room location was it backed on to the storage area where early each morning empty bottles were being emptied into bins which were really loud and woke us up.
