The room was absolutely gorgeous! The roll top bath in particular was amazing and the view from the window made it a gorgeous scene to have a soak and relax. The staff really looked after us and were always happy and greeted us with a smile. Our room overlooked the street below at the entrance of the restaurant, so was a little noisy, but thankfully there were complementary ear plugs which were greatly appreciated.
There were lots of tea options but unfortunately no coffee or milk, which was a shame because there was a cafetière that we would have definitely used if there was. The door handle was also a bit loose, but everything still locked and worked properly!

The staff were really friendly, the food was superb and the wine delicious. My room had the big metal bath which was awesome to soak in, it emptied quite noisily and humorously with gave me a giggle. The toiletries provided were amazing. There was loads of teas, coffees etc - but alas no milk Great choice for breakfast and the coffee was some of the best I have ever had - and I do love my coffee
The curtains were hanging off the pole - I think a prior guest may have been too energetic. There was no milk in the room for a brew - apparently the staff are supposed to provide you with some when you check in but they didn't for me or for another guest that I spoke to. The floorboards are really squeaky, I didn't mind it but some people may, so outside my door on the stairs and in my room it was loud but I didn't mind that.

Loved our room lookiing over the courtyard bar and having a small table and chairs on the balcony was a great bonus. The room was large and spacious as was the bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries, kettle with teas, coffee and bottled water. There was also some smaller public rooms off the corridor to the bar, lovely spot if you just wanted to sit out of the way of the busy bar area. We had a meal before going out for the evening, both the burger and calamari was served quickly, hot and delicious, also a few beers - some good choices. Breakfast was served in a small dinning room with a terrific choice and everything was cooked to order so don't expect a ping/ping meal, enjoy and savour the moment.
Nothing of note, in fact we were pleasantly surprised by the whole place and it exceeded our expectations.

The staff were friendly & very helpful, the food was also very good, Sunday roast & a breakfast .. the room was clean, in good order & spacious .. The buildings themselves were full of character, the website not giving justice to the Archangel itself .. Carparking is off site but only a 5 minute walk with a reasonable overnight cost ..
The buildings were full of character with lots of fantastic places to sit inside in different alcoves or outside in one of several areas, covered with opening gazebo roofs or around tables with parasols ..

Room was lovely (stayed in room 1), spacious and comfortable. Only negative was no separate shower, had shower mixer tap over lovely deep bath, which worked fine but may not be for everyone. Breakfast was served downstairs but there was a mention of being able to eat in your room. I ordered in the dining room and the staff were happy to serve in the room which was perfect. The cocktails were good at the bar and staff were friendly.
Breakfast was quite slow to arrive, but I assume this was because it was cooked to order. As an old building there was a bit of noise in the morning when others were coming downstairs to breakfast, creaky stairs and talking on the landing which may not have been so obvious in a modern property.

Apart from the steep stairs which may not be good for all travelers, the room was very nice and quirky with very nice bed and a large free-standing bath, I've paid a lot more for a similar room with a fridge!
Parking, pay, and display, would be worth knowing the location before arrival though only a 2 min walk (literally ) from the hotel, Check in wasn't great, WiFi was poor, had to use a hotspot from my phone, kitchen out of order so no breakfast available,

Hotel and restaurant really lovely. Food in restaurant fabulous. Staff very helpful.
the only complaint we would have is we were in room 8 which opened up into the courtyard area of bar. A sign in courtyard stated that no one should use that area post 11pm which we were happy with. It was the weekend and we appreciate people want to have a good time. However at 01.30am we were still experiencing lots of noise from voices of people sat directly outside ur room in the courtyard area with a roof. That said after I opened the door and glanced out towards those people briefly, they did leave about 10 minutes later. I guess they just got carried away having a drink and relaxing but it was frustrating from our perspective. That is the only complaint we have and would use the hotel and restaurant again when visiting Frome.

“different “ and quirky styling loved the entrance way and the arcade frontage with lots of cosy nooks and crannies to chill out in
it’s an old style property so LOTS of noisy floorboards but that’s the only downside and not really a complaint - everything else was ideal - black pudding at breakfast was best I’ve had in years couple of items missing off the 1st day Sausages and tomato but again nothing to complain about as the rest of the breakfast was huge and very filling Akso it may be a good idea to have a hot coffee pot on the buffet table instead of just hot water for tea

Liked everything about the property really. Room definitely had the wow factor, bath was amazing. staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard and the overall feel, felt like a hidden gem. great location right in the town centre and easy to park nearby. lovely selection of teas and overall experience felt great value for money, have already recommended and would definitely visit again.
The bed was a bit too soft for our liking and uncomfortable pillows, the velux blinds were also broken but we managed to tie them shut. would have really liked to eat at the restaurant but as it was Sunday it closed early.
