Stayed in a wheelchair friendly room, very spacious, great facilities, good wet room. Breakfast was lovely, superb range of options.homecooked fresh food. Staff were very welcoming, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Didn't spoil our stay but just one little idea that would of been nice - Could maybe do with a little lounge space other than the bedroom for the evening for people to sit, play cards etc. Maybe if the breakfast area was opened up in the evening with a tall fridge of waters/sodas/mini wine bottles/beer bottles, tea/coffee facilities? Just an idea rather than being stuck in the room.

This is our third time staying with our dog. The location is just perfect with ample space for the dog and plenty of walking opportunities. The rooms are also done to a very high standard with a luxurious bathroom and comfy bed. The cooked breakfast provided is also another reason why we keep coming back. the full English is enough to fill you up for the day along with fresh fruit and pastries. The owners are also lovely, going above and beyond. They also recommended a lovely day out at Bradford on Avon - which we absolutely loved!

We are so impressed with this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. As a family of four, we had two rooms in a family suite with a double room, a twin bed room and a huge bathroom. Everything was very spacious and beautifully presented. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a good temperature. We needed to book a slot for breakfast each morning but service is quick and half an hour is plenty of time. There is a good range of fruit, cereal, toast and baked goods to choose from in addition to the cooked breakfast that needs to be ordered in advance. The food was delicious. The staff were very professional and accommodating. We had access to a kitchenette for preparing packed lunches and we were able to use the dining room for eating takeaways in the evening. The grounds are vast and gorgeous. There are two lakes and lots of open field to walk around in addition to a large wooden play area.

Loved everything about our stay , they had provided decorations in the room for my daughters birthday - family suit was lovely and comfortable for all , the perfect set up of you choosing to take young children away especially to near by longleat! Beautiful grounds and hotel interior threw out and most of the staff extremely experienced, welcoming and friendly. Couldn’t fault anything apart from out experience at reception

Felt like the male manning the reception didn’t deliver the level of customer services we’d of hoped for the high quality upheld threw out the rest of the hotel. Felt like he wasn’t very keen on family and quite judgmental possibly due to mine and my partners appearances (both quite alternate). Felt quite unfriendly on checking in and at breakfast but maybe he was just having a bad day but unfortunately put quite a dampener on our stay

Excellent breakfast. We were upgraded in terms of the room as they weren't busy. The grounds have some lovely walks (although we couldn't enjoy them to the full as it was very wet weather. It's a great base for exploring the area. Also, we missed this in the description but, if it's something you enjoy, don't forget your swimming stuff as you have access to a pool onsite.

It's not really something we didn't like as such, but be aware you're best off with a car as it's a little way from town etc and taxis aren't great there apparently. And phone reception is a little patchy we found - unfortunately while we were trying to ring the number on the reception desk, which was unmanned when we arrived.

The property was in a fabulous setting and we had a lovely warm welcome on check in. It was a nice touch to be shown to our room. We had a lovely annex building with old oak beams which was nice. The bed was comfy and the room facilities very good. Would return, hopefully in the spring/summer to be able to enjoy the grounds and lake.

The breakfast was average and a little on the sparse side to be honest. Have had better. Did not sleep too well as there was a continual drumming noise coming from some where, we did mention this to the owners who said they had not had this brought to their attention before but would investigate. There were quite a few cobwebs which needed to be addressed; but appreciate beams would be difficult to clean.

The Lighthouse was set in a beautiful setting and was full of character. We booked to use Longleat and wasn’t disappointed approximately 15 drive which was ideal. We are a family of 4 so had a family room which was actually 2 rooms with adjoining hallway and separate bathrooms it was amazing. The breakfast was very nice too, and my son and daughter loved the Pancake Machine. Would definitely recommend and would like to return in the summer rather than winter as the grounds look so lovely for walks.

I didn’t realise there was a pool we could have used next door to the Lighthouse and didn’t really notice it on their website. Would have definitely brought our swimwear if I had as the children would have loves to swim. Shame there wasn’t a local pub/restaurant in short walking distance. Delivery options were available which wasn’t a problem for us but would have been nice if there was a choice of places within walking distance.

The location is good, right next to open green space, great for fresh air and outdoor You definitely need a car to stay here but there’s plenty of parking on site. The furnishings, bed, linens were all tasteful and of good quality. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

We booked a room that was advertised as 30 m square. However although beautifully furnished there was no denying the fact the room we were given was very small with no space to open out 2 suitcases. We asked if there was a larger room available and immediately without any resistance we were shifted to part of a very spacious family suite. This was wonderful for us but I’m not sure how we would have managed if the family suite wasn’t available. For us with our exchange rate it was expensive to stay here. It didn’t quite live up to the hype and while we had an enjoyable stay it wasn’t as good as anticipated.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Lighthouse as a family. It's well located and easily accessible just outside of Frome, with a good local pub and a Sainsbury's (as well as Frome itself) just a very short drive around the corner. There are also a variety of good local pubs in nearby villages (the accommodation itself does recommend some too). The Lighthouse itself was lovely. It was very clean and well kept, the rooms were lovely and the beds/bedding comfortable - perhaps a rarity for hotels! There's also a small playground which was good to give the kids a run before bed/bath time! It's a nice and peaceful setting, with fields at the back for you to stroll around and/or run should you wish. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Breakfast options included full english, eggs/bacon on toast and a pancake machine for the kids (well, used mostly by the kids :) ), amongst others. We stayed here before a trip to Center Parcs and used as a base to go to Longleat Safari Park, superbly positioned for both activities. Will be looking to book again when we go back in late 2024.

Beautiful location and as I am disabled it was a very convenient room...room 3 ....with the car just nearby. Having the sitting room in the farmhouse was a real bonus as I had no comfortable chair in the bedroom and was able to sit and read. Perhaps a little more space on the serving table at Breakfast would help as you try to help yourself to the cereals and things. Everything was really execellent.

Just a little more space to save queueing at the serving table. A family with children were ahead of me and I find it difficult to stand for any length of time.
