Hugh was an excellent host. Very chatty with a great sense of humour. Because of the high winds and rain, Hugh moved us from our original first floor room which had an outside stairway, to one of the ground floor converted cow barns. He gave us a small refund in the morning for the change of room, however it was better for safety reasons. Room was quirky, kept toasty with two oil radiators and good WiFi. Had a good night's sleep, breakfast was good and freshly baked homemade bread too. Also some local homemade Jams. Would definitely stay here again.

The shower although hot enough was not that powerful, still did the job.

Exceeded our wildest expectations! I really mean this! It was like having a haven of peace and life totally slowing down. All the staff were so friendly and extremely kind. Hugh who was the patron was so kind and understanding in dealing with my dietary issues, and every day made different things to tempt my appetite. He was so funny and a real joy to stay with, living on an actual working farm was amazing, even though the rooster made sure he gave us all an alarm call, but isn’t that living on a farm!, definitely will return to this wonderful experience, ans we have asssured Hugh that it’s a promise. It a little gem of paradise. The animals were great, sheep, horses dogs, several chickens and a couple of roosters. Please do you self an amazing visit to the wonderful property. Daily breakfast was included in the price which to be honest was very reasonable and Hugh bakes fresh bread every day and very kindly gave us some to bring home, it is amazing.. treat yourself and discover the county the best way possible.

Nothing at all, it was perfect!!

We were at Brampton Dales to compete at Blyton Park race circuit. Hugh was extremely accommodating with an early cooked breakfast, which was bountiful and of very high quality. The location was close enough to the track (although closer is always better of course!) and we both really liked the fact that the B&B had the owner's character throughout; it's not some nondescript bland place to stay.

One of the rooms we stayed in suffered from excess noise from guests above in my opinion - I know you can't do anything about how guests behave but the insulation seemed lacking, the other room was absolutely superb though.

Owners brilliant - arrived (very) late and happy to greet me, amazing breakfast and couldn't have done more for me to make the stay comfortable. It's a farm, so there are animals wandering around the grounds - chickens, sheep and even a turkey. Best part: they asked when I wanted breakfast and baked bread fresh for this time, gave me several home made jams and made a fantastic meal. Filled me up for the day and such a pleasure to eat with the host, who told some fascinating stories. You could stay for cheaper at the Travelodge in the centre of Gainsborough. But if you want an unforgettable stay somewhere that is run by genuinely lovely people, then stay here. It was fantastic.

Relatively basic room but couldn't care less with such brilliant service.

This bed & breakfast is literally on a farm. Going in is a bit like stepping back in time as it has a lovely 1950s look about the place, a true country cottage feels. The people are extremely friendly and greet you as soon as you arrive. Breakfast is literally local produce with the eggs coming from their own hens. The gentleman who runs the place bakes the bread himself. It was all delicious. Being on a farm it's very tranquil and peaceful with animals roaming free. Oh, don't forget to say hi to Big Bird the Turkey. 😀

Nothing to dislike for me.

Warm, welcoming, host with a great sense of humour! Fantastic farm location. Quirky room with an extremely comfortable bed!! We booked after watching Four in a Bed in March. The farm animals were great and the location is so peaceful. We had a lovely night away. Walked to the local pub had a drink in the lovely beer garden, then walked another mile to a Country Inn that Hugh recommended for Dinner (Thanks Hugh!) Then stopped by the Village pub on the way back. They had a live band playing, so we stayed to enjoy the atmosphere and walked back to the B&B enjoying the full moonlight and stars!! Breakfast and service was fantastic! Wow the homemade bread and jam selection was spot on, Vivaldi playing made it so relaxed. We loved sitting by the fields, windows open watching the Turkeys and chicks. Hugh has an absolutely perfect getaway here! His hosting made they stay perfect. We loved Ronnie and Reggie the sheep and the horses too. Do not miss this gem!!

We really enjoyed staying on a working farm and being met on our arrival by a Ram, who took a shine to my wife. Our drive along the country lanes was on a gorgeous late Spring evening as the sun was setting: stunning views across the fields, with lots of wild life cross crossing our path up to Brampton Dales. Hugh was kind enough to let me 'play' with Alexa at breakfast moving through, to use Hughes words "an eclectic choice of artists and music" and providing me with a number of interesting unexpected use of Alexa for baking bread! Breakfast as previously noted by guests was accompanied by freshly baked bread and home made jams and marmalades: went so well with the bread. We stayed in one of the converted out houses, it was clean, comfortable with a heater for those still chilly mornings and evenings. There is a nice little surprise waiting for guests who stay at Brampton, I'm not going to spoil it here though ;)

Absolutely everything was awesome from first step. If U are looking for break from city noise and U like contact with nature it will be perfect place for U. The owners are the nicest and the most welcoming people which I've ever have pleasure to met. And full real English breakfast will fill U for whole day 😃 I love Jane Austin's England and it was like going back to past but with everything what is making now people life comfy.
