The Old Posthouse B&B is located in the small village of Normandy by Spital. There are other charming villages nearby that are worth visiting. I was passing through and only spent one night at the Old Posthouse, but I could have easily spent more. I have traveled a lot but I can say that the Old Posthouse is one of the best places to stay that I have ever stayed. The rooms are clean and quiet. The house has a beautiful little garden where you can spend time. The Old Posthouse also has its own parking. The breakfast is excellent. I received thorough instructions well before check-in. However, the best thing about the Old Posthouse is the hosts: they are very friendly and helpful. I also got some good advice from them: Europe's largest antiques center in a former RAF base and The Crown Inn, a pub in nearby Glentham, where you can get excellent food. I would rate the Old Posthouse B&B an 11 if possible.

We stayed for two nights as we were going to the Market Rasen races, the location was good as it is only a 15 minute drive away. However, if a taxi is needed you need to book well in advance. We had a wonderful stay, the guest house was immaculate, spotless, quiet and welcoming. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, their 'attention to detail' is a credit to them; it was very much appreciated. And so was the breakfast, it was plentiful and delicious! We would definitely be returning and would highly recommend it!
Nothing!

The friendliness of owners Tony and Julia, and their willingness to accomodate my motorcycle's security during our stay. The breakfast options far exceeded most B&Bs I've stayed in, totally spoilt for choice. The creature comforts in the room - fresh home-made cake, top quality tea and coffee, fresh milk in a fridge, all very welcome and made the stay that little bit more confortable. The bed was amazing. I had the best sleep away from home in years. This year I've stayed in some high-end hotels with far less comfortable beds. Being rural dwellers, the absence of noise and light polution at night is important to my wife and I. This place gives that too. I can't fault this B&B in any way.
Nothing. To be clear, there was nothing that could have been better, it all fitted with our needs.

Wonderful stay at The Old Posthouse B&B. Hosts were very friendly & accommodating. Room was extremely comfortable with a king size bed & a very large separate private bathroom. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Old Posthouse. Enjoyed it so much we hope to return in the very near future.
We liked everything about it.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Posthouse. The bedroom and en-suite shower room were immaculately clean, and bed really comfy. There was a little fridge on the landing so we were given fresh milk (no little UHT sachets!). Both evenings we found a couple of slices of homemade lemon drizzle cake in our room which was a lovely touch. They have parking at the side of the house behind locked gates, and as we had motorbikes on a trailer that was much appreciated as it is nice and secure. Breakfast was amazing - french toast with bacon and maple syrup! (although plenty of traditional breakfast options too). We also had dinner there one evening, which was all home cooked and equally delicious. What stood out, in addition to the lovely accommodation and food, was how welcoming and helpful Tony and Julia were - so much so that they got up early to cook us breakfast, even though we asked if they would just leave out some cereal. A fabulous B&B hosted by a really lovely couple. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Everything about the Old Posthouse is outstanding! The welcome was warm and friendly; car parking is off-road and secure; the location is ideal for exploring the area, and the hosts Tony and Julia are a mine of information about places to go, things to see and the best places to eat and drink. There is even a delightful garden you could sit in and while away a bit of time while sinking a glass or two of something chilled. There was a dazzling array of teas and coffee to satisfy any palate, along with home-made lemon drizzle cake (scrummy), Borders biscuits, Lotus biscoff and mints all waiting in your comfy bedroom. Fresh milk is provided in a fridge on the landing as was bottled water - guests can use the fridge to keep their own drinks chilled. The bed was comfortable and a proper size - no 'space saver' doubles here! The decor was clean and fresh and the room was very well equipped with information leaflets, clock, hairdryer and television. A nice touch is that there are usb sockets on the wall sockets - a must in this day and age. Toiletries are provided in the bathroom and the towels are large and fluffy - none of your 'barely cover the essentials' towels in this exceptional b&b. Breakfast tables are in different rooms - ours was in the front parlour which also has a couple of sofas, a television and a great selection of games and books in case the weather is inclement - it was like having your own private sitting/breakfast room which made it feel like a real home from home. The breakfast menu is really quite spectacular. Tony (chef and chief cake maker) makes his own granola (delicious) and uses what is clearly the best local produce to make an excellent cooked breakfast. Again there is a dizzying array of teas, coffee and preserves to choose from as well as the usual juice and cereals.
Absolutely nothing to dislike about the place. This is the kind of b&b I'd like to run myself, they've got it spot on.

The hosts were helpful, friendly and informative. Breakfast was cooked to a turn and there was plenty of it too. There was that much, I asked for a 'doggy bag' to take home what I couldn't eat. I couldn't let good food like that go to waste. if I'm in that area again in the future, I'll certainly be contacting them again to hopefully book a room to stay.
Sorry. I haven't got an answer for that question.

Lovely location just outside Lincoln city. Room was lovely and clean with everything to hand that you could possibly need. Breakfast was superb with a great choice of food and a tea and coffee choice to die for! Most of the food was locally sourced. Don't miss out on the porridge! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great pub literally 2 mins away. Nice beers and food.
Having to leave!

Another exceptional stay at The Old Posthouse. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable. Nice little touches like homemade lemon drizzle cake and locally sourced ingredients for breakfast. Looking forward to visiting again.
Couldn't fault my stay

The room was good and the hosts were amazing - very friendly and helpful, and gave us some tips for antique shopping in Hemswell. Special shout out to Julia’s ginger cake which we were greeted with on arrival
Nothing negative about the stay at all! just make sure you do your research on the dinner options in advance - the pub closest to the location was closed on the day we were there
