Our room was fantastic, we stopped for two nights (2 adults and 3 children). Free parking, excellent rate and on the outskirts of London so avoided all congestion and green zone fees. 3 minute walk to train station and shops. Plenty of space in the room for us all, will definitely stop again when visiting London. Very friendly staff.

Only small things, woke up early first morning by the bins and second day by beer delivery, however not bothered by this and it got my children up (it would have taken me hours). Room was slightly rough around the edges and shower was difficult to get a comfortable temperature, but we were told when we arrived that the rooms are getting refurbished, (the downstairs rooms were while we were there). However this sort of thing doesn't bother me and I'd still rate it the best room we had on our week long roadtrip around England

I have stayed at the Ethorpe for over 15 years when visiting London. The restaurant, bar and dining area have been remodeled. Very comfortable, great food and beverages. The room was comfortable, beds firm, clean, everything worked - TV, clicker, ligths, WIFI. The staff is outstanding. Parking available on the premises. Great location close to the railway to go into Marylebone Station. The town of Gerrards Cross has shops, a Waitrose market and restaurants - all within a very short walking distance.

I understand a complete remodeling is scheduled to happen. Probably a good idea since the bathrooms could be updated. Everything worked, but it is just, well, outdated. No major complaints.

Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very nice breakfast. Nice quiet location. Nice big car park. I went to Wembley to see Sheffield Wednesday and we won and got promoted, so my steak and chips and pint of lager shandy tasted even better in the hotel restaurant. Very convenient for train station and trains to Wembley.

My room was a bit small . The lock on my room didnt work well. After breakfast I got locked out and reception staff had to open it for me. On the second morning after breakfast I was locked out again. I had to wait 30 mins in the restaurant until the third person to try managed to open it. Had to queue for a few minutes to get a breakfast table on the first day and the waiter could do with another waiter to help him when it is busy.

The hotel and room are cozy! I was also lucky enough to be upgraded from a single to a double room. The staff is very friendly and concerned to make your stay the best. Especially in the morning at breakfast the staff really tries to please you. The hotel has a very good pub restaurant where you can, with extra cost, have lunch or dinner very well too. And I thank Louise, who assisted me very well even though I didn't have a table reserved on a busy Friday night! If you come to work near Gerrards Cross, Slogh or Uxbridge (or at Pinewood Studios for example) the location is very very good because you are very close to the train and the shuttle buses. I was also able to take publique transport (a direct bus) from Heathrow Airport to the hotel, and return the same way walking a few blocks, which I think is very convenient!

The only downside for me was not having a good and stable internet connection, even though the connection was free.

Staff were great, good location, easy parking. Amazing value for money. The only pub in the village for now, so some 'interesting' characters in the evening.

Room decor was a little tired although it was clean. Having to climb into a deep bath for a shower is a bit of a nightmare - much prefer a walk in shower, not disabled so did not request it but it seems baths are mandatory on UK bathrooms. I am not tall so clambering up and over a bath top is undignified, uncomfortable and doesn't feel safe, I would never use a bath and would much prefer a shower - cleaner and greener!

We were visiting our Grandson who lives in Gerard’s Cross so this hotel is in an excellent location for us. Very handy for the town and the railway station.

It’s a lovely old building but needs a bit of tlc. We have stayed here before but in a different room. It’s little things that let it down like, for instance, we couldn’t raise the roller blind in the bathroom. The weather was beautiful during our stay and we were very grateful for the air conditioning but, surprisingly, the central heating was also on with radiators in the bedroom and bathroom getting hot.

After a very long drive and a 4 hour trip around Harry potter world it was great to find this amazing value hotel. Right from the start we were greated by very friendly staff and then given the key to an amazing family room, very big , lovely and clean and a very comfortable bed. Next food, the food was very good and good value for money, all the staff are amazingly friendly. Would definitely stay again if we are down this way.

The hotel is showing its age but I understand that its going to be refurbished. Apart from that it was great.

Room and bathroom were very good, clean and comfortable beds, headboards could do with some TLC though. The Breakfast was sensational, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food and drink prices were very reasonable. The food in the restaurant is excellent quality.

Only one door key card for a TWIN room made for some unnecessary room unlocking journeys for both of us. Headboard TLC but that was it, totally minor. Was a great weekend, will definitely use them again for Wembley stadium events.

Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Waiter and waitress were friendly and attentive. Very good location, easy to get to shops and restaurants, walking distance. Good sized room. Strong shower and comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Every floorboard in the room creaked badly. Toilet seat was very wobbly. Very noisy on Friday night (stag do?). Couldn't find sport on the television. No safe in the room. No lift, not easy carrying suitcases up the stairs. Value for money just about ok.

Room was absolutely lovely and beds were very comfortable. Having a second room with 2 single beds was really good.Staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely visit again and once the Reno's are done this place will go strong for years to come.

The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the wooden side to the bath was water damaged. I knew there were issues about the bathrooms from other reviews. So not a surprise. Maybe some Mould kill would work till the bathrooms are renovated.
