Location as expected. Breakfast only good if you enjoy cooked, I usually eat yogurt, fruit and meats and cheese if offered. First morning my breakfast was a small pot of yogurt, a banana and gluten free bread toasted, the bread was not one of the nicer gluten free products! Second morning a small pot of yogurt and grapes and my own gf fruit loaf. Third morning- no yogurt, delivery hadn’t arrived so my braggart was a bit sparse but I went out and bought my own natural yogurt in case! Good job I did as the rest of our stay I used it with my own fruit loaf and their grapes

Easy to find, a quiet location, friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room (210) with view of links and water hazard, very pleasant to wake up to. Room had everything needed; tea and coffee, hairdryer, fan, hanging and work spaces. Beds were comfortable, neither soft nor overly firm, a happy midway point. Breakfast cooked a la carte (low guest numbers, so no buffet), but cooked perfectly, quality ingredients, and generous portions.

Breakfast room was... loud... with golf bores all talking over each other - not the hotel's fault, just typical thoughtless behaviour. Bathroom was fine, but shower over bath, and the bath's walls were sloping in. Not slippery, just awkward.

Nice big room. Fresh decor. Felt clean. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast and food. Nice staff. Would stay here again.

Hotel very quiet and off the beaten track. I think there were only a couple of people staying there so it felt empty. If youre looking for a room for the night it does a very good job, but if you're looking for a destination hotel, its perhaps wouldnt live up to expectations. Food was very nice but a few more non-chips dishes would have added to the menu.

Nice quiet location with stunning views over the golf course. The rooms were exceptionally clean and in general the staff were very friendly. Meals are served in the clubhouse bar which is accessed either through the car park or via a maze of corridors. Breakfast consists of serve yourself cereals, fruit etc while English breakfast is freshly prepared in the kitchen. Dinner is typical bar fare (chips with everything) but is scrumptious, the homemade steak pie is to die for. When chips become monotonous, there are two great pubs serving food just a short drive away in the village of Greetham

The bar menu is limited if staying for more than two nights.

Nice spacious rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, food in the club house was always served hot & in good time especially as there were bigger groups of golfers being looked after as well. Surrounding were pretty

Location was ideal, just off the A1 and easy to get to. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant/bar area had a nice feel to it with a TV and Sky Sports showing at the time. I wasn't expecting a lot from food at dinner as it seemed a bit of a small menu but the food was amazing with excellent portion sizes!! View from the room was great, overlooking the golf courses (shame I didn't have time for a round!). Room was very clean and bed was comfy, with a smart TV on the wall allowing you to log into your Netflix and kick back for the evening if you don't want to chill out in the bar area. Breakfast was exceptional! Albeit, I did have a simple breakfast of beans on wholegrain toast and poached eggs, eggs were cooked to perfection and it was nice to eat overlooking the golf course on a sunny wintery morning!

Small things, however I think it would be useful to have a 'do not disturb' sign available to use for the room door. Not a major thing but in the morning as I was getting ready, housekeeping were trying to come in and knocking on the door, whereas a sign would remove this. I also think it would be useful to have a menu in the room for people to either know what they want in advance, or place an order for room service if available.

Nice quiet location and handy for visiting family locally. We had a lovely lake view from our room. The cooked breakfast was lovely and one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

No major issues but someone else’s hair in the sink on arrival makes you question how good room cleaning was and glassware and cutlery at breakfast could be cleaner!

The location is very good, it's off the beaten track but on a well-loved golf course. Which makes the hotel part both welcoming and warm. The bar & restaurant is separately located in the golf course clubhouse. The staff here are polite and very helpful. I had driven a long way late in the evening to get to the hotel, I am not very observant after a long drive. The staff were polite, unjudging and kind to me, which made my stay far better. Good service is priceless. The hotel room was large, well catered and comfortable. The ensuite was up to the task, the shower was amazing. Dinner, a good night's sleep, breakfast and I was on my way once more.

There was a wedding party at the time, (Best wishes to the happy couple) normally loads of drunk guests making their way around a small hotel and the noise an issue. This hotel catered for both the wedding party and non-wedding party guests, hitting the tone perfectly. The rooms are sound insulated enough that the excess noise was not an issue, the night manager did a great job. I still had a good night's sleep. Other than this my stay went very well and I will be staying here again on my travels.
