Location of hotel, friendliness of staff. My room was small but it had a television, a microwave, a fridge & and a kettle. Water was always changed, and bins were always emptied. The shower was excellent. Wifi was not so great but had television as entertainment for news and channels I liked, but I was there mainly to go on the sea front and enjoy the weekend as I was seeing family. Would I use this hotel again? Yes, I would, especially considering it was a last-minute booking I had to get.

Noise from up above due to children running as I had a basement room poor WiFi no breakfast wish there was a full breakfast, but was happy to have coffee, tea & cereal. Parking was a problem late evening if I had been out driving, but it was free, so it was good. Loss of phone signal in basement room I had to go upper ground to make a phone call, but WhatsApp worked when WiFi worked well.

Loved the customer service and friendliness of the staff, comfy bed, I love the way the staff did all the could to change over the TV when it was not working well, Great Microwave, fridge was excellent the bath facilities were great and to be complimented with shower gel is a top mark and including the soap. Very quick responsive in messaging from the property. Good value of money for the price your paying. Wardrobe was good to use plenty of space and nice chest of draws. Nice fish tank. Had a fabulous time! We was kindly told that there was no fan in the room due to fire safety reasons the what I believe was the hotel manger at the time.

Unfortunately no fan in the room made it a bit stuffy in the room though we did have the window open. There seemed to be no 236 channel on the tv but not a major issue. There seemed to be noise on level 3 with people stamping their feet in the corridor after mid night which could be a problem for people trying to sleep and my partner was not overall impressed

We had a family room. Had a fridge, microwave, and kettle what was Very useful. Also clean and warm. Would definitely stop again. Thanks

After booking, we were told there were refugees staying in the hotel. Would have been nice to have been told before booking. It wasn't an issue for me. But my dad wasn't too pleased with me going, a young female, him being so far away. But they were all very nice people.

We liked the location and the free parking. The room was clean, bed was clean and shower spotless. That’s all we wanted.

It’s not the Ritz but it was very acceptable for the price. Clean room, hot water, tea and coffee and a really comfy bed. If I was to get really picky. Room 127 over looks the back garden, no problem with that. However, they have works going on, not that we saw them or heard them. There was scaffolding up and over our room and a ladder to access it. The window that over looks the scaffolding doesn’t lock. So, somewhat vulnerable. Didn’t stop us from having a good nights sleep.

Nice clean and tidy room ,not to compact.

Their was a kettle ,microwave and fridge in the room . Their was 2 cups 2 teabags ,2 coffee portions and 4 little milk pods. Went down for breakfast in the morning it was DIY . Their was a toaster some white bread and butter pods . Cornflakes and Milk. No marmalade for the toast. I asked a member of staff about a drink for breakfast tea or coffee and he said it was in your room last night.

The location is excellent with the beach just across the street, and there's also Wellington Pier nearby, offering arcades, bowling, and a diner. The room was both clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and friendly.

Unfortunately, there was no option for a late check-out, which led us to pay for an extra night to facilitate our departure at 3-4 pm. The water in the shower takes time to heat up, but I anticipated this after noticing it the day before. Consequently, I switched it on earlier the next day to avoid wasting time, especially if I needed to leave at a specific time. Additionally, the TV controller was not functioning properly, making navigation difficult, and eventually, it stopped working—perhaps due to depleted batteries. Despite these minor inconveniences, we are overall very happy with our stay this weekend.

Booked before reading the reviews, so was a bit dubious, however, location was good, the room was clean and freshwater, towels and toiletries left every morning. Overall a good stay. Staff helpful.

Bed was a bit bumpy, could do with new mattress and you could hear others using stairs, fortunately didn't go on too late. TV didn't work properly but wasn't in room long enough to be too bothered by that.

It’s a big old style building, I liked it, I liked the shower it was clean. We had everything we needed. They even knocked our door about 10am for room keeping, with things like clean towels, sheets, tea & coffee & water, there was a old style small lift which I personally was amused by & used, there was no food sadly or breakfast but just over the road had beautiful food! I don’t understand the logic of people giving this hotel bad reviews, I would 100% stay again for £69 for 2 nights. BARGAIN. I highly recommend booking!

There was no breakfast or restaurant open I completely understand but would of been nice..

The room was clean and the staff polite, there was no food served in the hotel but there are plenty of places to eat nearby, there was coffee replenished and bottled water and there were clean towels provided every day. Unfortunately, I had an accident and broke the toilet seat, on Tuesday, I reported it to reception and offered to pay for the damage but was told that would be all right and there would be no charge. When we arrived back that night the toilet seat had been replaced, there was a large TV in the room and plenty of places to put your clothes, and there was also a microwave, fridge, and kettle provided in the room. There was plenty of room for parking outside the hotel, but you had to be back early to get a space, there is no designated place for disabled parking, and the is parking at the top of the street a short walk away.

We received an email two days before we left to say that a third of the hotel rooms were taken up by the council for tenants this did bother us a bit. But on arrival, it was not a problem, the hotel is dated and in need of a facelift but for what we paid it was value for money. Some of the draws were broken in the room, and the carpet was ripped in at least one place, would I return to this hotel Yes we would.

After seeing some negative comments, such as hard pillows, noise, only one channel on TV, poor WiFi, I was prepared for the worst. However, beds, including pillows, were comfortable, it was quiet and there were hundreds of freeview TV channels. Staff were helpful and a DIY breakfast was available in the dining room (cereals, bread, butter, tea, coffee & sugar, toaster & microwave).

We booked for a double or twin room, but it was both, having two single and one double bed, which was a bit cramped. There were a couple of maintenance issues I noticed, which did not affect us but I include because management will read this: gutters in front overflow in heavy rain, floor board in bathroom entrance needs attention, extractor fan noisy, room 215.
