We arrived late at night after a long day travelling and found the late check in facility easy to deal with even though it was a dark and foggy night but do remember to have a torch or mobile phone torch. The King Charles room was just as we expected having viewed the photographs. As advised on the website by David the owner do not expect shiny ultra modern fixtures and fittings, Tv etc as per a modern chain hotel. The Harlington Manor is a very old building but is superb for it's age. As outlined above we enjoyed our stay but the highlight really was the breakfast provided by David and his friendly chat. We particularly liked the dining room table decoration with all it's little antiques. The breakfast itself was made with quality products and perfectly excecuted with nothing too much trouble. Once again well done David and good luck with the Harlington Manor and we look forward to staying again. Geoff & Maureen Dunn

What a lovely historical home! Friends in the area recommended my staying there for a short trip from London to the Bedfordshire area to see friends. The Manor house is quite impressive and one could spend a great deal of time puttering about and viewing all the rooms. My room, the red Kings Room was on the top floor, with very nice views of parts of the Garden. Comfortable bed with a canopy, en suite bathroom, coffee maker and electric kettle. Prior to arriving or shortly thereafter, you can place your order for which type of breakfast you'd like to have in the mornings. I recommend the Full English... it was substantial. My host and owner was a wealth of information regarding the history of the establishmrnt. My conversations with him were insightful. The Gardens are pretty, but it was a bit too wet to sit outside, I opted for the bright and airy library to have a cup if tea, read and relax. Staying here was a treat, almost like being in a period movie. All that was missing were Mr. Carson. Mrs. Hughes Thomas and the Crawleys. 😉
That I had such a short stay in this amazing home.

Harlington Manor is even more historically impressive than the photos make it look like at first. This is a true character stay for every hobby historian, geek, or generally interested in architecture person. Not only is the house gorgeous but the owner has filled it with antiques and fascinating paintings. If you have any time at all, strike up a conversation with the owner over the homecooked breakfast he provides you with. He is as delightful and interesting as his manor!
When you arrive at night and the owner is out it's easy to get lost on the property so make sure you read the instructions closely before you try to figure out which door you need to get through. Warning for folks who are afraid of spiders, it's an old house, there are spiders and spider webs in the bathroom in the 600 year old windows.

What an absolute gem of a place this was. A fascinating historic building which the owners has filled with some beautiful antiques, set in some beautifully kept gardens. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a wee coffee machine and a proper kettle (not the usual sachets and kettle that takes forever). Despite being a very old building there was complimentary wifi that was fast. Parking was off road in a courtyard. Breakfast was excellent , made to order and accompanied with some brilliant conversation from the host, a charming gentleman who welcomes you like an old friend, I honestly could have sat and chatted with him all day. I would definitely stay here again.

Aside from 5 star hotels in the far east, this is the best accommodation I've found in the UK. A 350 year old Manor House, with original, period features: wonky walls, wonky floors, wonky windows, wonky doors. We were accommodated in the King Charles II room,.with luxurious canopied bed and the biggest en-suite bath I've ever seen. The owner/host was superb - polite, helpful and a fountain of knowledge. Breakfast was excellent and served in a grand, beamed and panelled hall. This was, without doubt, the best night away from home I've ever had in the UK. You MUST visit this accommodation.
Nothing!! It was truly outstanding.

Harlington Manor is all that might be expected of a 14th century manor house. It's old, quirky, and charming, and set in beautiful grounds. It has lots of interesting rooms and furniture. I particularly liked the grandfather clock and the incredibly tall (and yet incredibly comfortable) four-poster bed. Breakfast was of a very high standard - there were even candlesticks on the table - and David proved to be a particularly welcoming host.. So, all in all, a fantastic stay. An added bonus: the local railway station was very convenient for our day trip to London.
I liked absolutely everything but a person with mobility problems might find the steps between rooms difficult to negotiate.

It was a privilege to experience this charming period property. Our convivial host was a most engaging character who kindly offered us a little tour; explaining about how the property had been developed over the centuries and some of its interesting history. The breakfast was very good and enjoyed in the panelled dining room.
The uneven floors and steps were a challenge but still so pleased we took the opportunity to stay there. Our room was not en-suite but did include a private shower room just a short walk along an uneven corridor which really was all part of the ambience and in keeping with the character of a centuries old building.

David is an excellent host, he has a genuine interest in people and puts you at ease. The breakfast is possibly the best quality we have had to date, it was delicious, with high quality ingredients sourced from specialist butchers. We were given lots of recommendations for local places to eat and visit. The house is as is shown in the photos. The bed was really comfortable and the bath was larger than normal. David's attention to detail is seen throughout, in the antiques and curiosities he has sourced for the house. A real gem, we'll be back.
There was nothing to doslike

Not a conventional hotel, more like staying in museum! David went out of his way to help with any issues. This is a fascinating ancient listed building and I am sorry I did not have more time to look around. However, it will not suit everyone, e.g. those with mobility or eyesight issues. David cooks a good breakfast to order and the fresh fruit and home-made granola were excellent.
Natural yoghurt at breakfast is fairly standard nowadays, so that would have been a nice addition to the fruit and granola. I stayed in two rooms on different nights and both lacked a small desk or table at which to sit and write, something I really value when I am staying for work.

The owner David was lovely, made breakfast to exactly how we wanted and made you feel very welcome. The rooms are exceptional, staying in Harlington Manor was quite an experience. The Manor is delightful, full of history, the grounds are beautiful. David emails you with a list of instructions, which are extremely helpful. We stayed in The Wingate Room, the bathroom is separately down the hall, but that was not an issue at all. The bed was comfortable. We stayed as we were attending a festival in Luton, the train station was literally a 2 minute walk away , if that. No issues at all, apart from couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi , but in all honesty, that didn't bother us at all.
Nothing at all.
