Extremely warm welcome from the staff who were very accommodating. Rooms were very clean to a high standard Food from the restaurant in the evening was exceptional. The mushroom kiev as part of the chicken dinner was outstanding. TV size in the room was very good, better than what you would typically get. Overall would recommend staying here. Lovely quiet location not too far from York, Wetherby and Harrogate.

WiFi and phone signal is a little bit of an issue, nothing can be done about the phone signal, but WiFi could perhaps do with some work. Using the bathroom in the top floor rooms was a little cramped, particularly if you have to stand up to use the toilet due to the shape of the room, but not a major inconvenience.

Lime Tree Inn is a relatively new property which has been cleverly designed to create the atmosphere of a cosy country pub. It centres around a large bar and fireplace with a dining room to one side and more casual eating area to the other, suitable for customers with dogs. The food was exceptional. We wish to congratulate the owner/chef who is creating a special offering. They grow their own food, use local produce and the bread, butter and jams are all made in house. Fabulous.

Amazing attention to detail, extremely well appointed room, beautiful and tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Not just blackout curtains but interlined too! Lovely Nespresso coffee maker, fresh milk. Great air conditioning. Liked the separate loo and bathroom. Delicious food, dinner and breakfast. Warm and cosy restaurant, beautiful tableware. Lovely friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Great that there is a lift so no worries about negotiating stairs for elderly or anyone with mobility issues

Nothing it was perfect!

This is a very attractive hotel in a pleasant English village. Although it has clearly been built only recently, it has an 'olde worlde' air: in a sense, one has the best of both worlds. The room itself was spacious, and the bathroom fabulous. When we were able to access the full breakfast (not available some days of the week), it was excellent. And do book for dinner: the chef - who, if we understood correctly, was the co-owner of the hotel - really knows how to cook creative and tasty dishes.

We had only one gripe with this hotel - namely that 'breakfast' on some days of the week (this includes Wednesdays, but not Thursdays) is basically a self-service cereal selection that one eats in one's room. Perhaps this was pointed out when we booked, but I could not find reference to it, and we had been looking forward to - and expecting - a full English breakfast. In all events, be aware of this if you visit early in the week. Otherwise, we loved this hotel.

it’s not very often that you stumble across a hotel that does everything well. The Lime Tree inn is certainly in that category. Rooms were spotless and super comfortable with really nice touches like mini bottles of fresh milk to a treat for our dog. that said, the star of the show is the cooking. Quality and presentation worthy of a top London restaurant. then to cap it all one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. home made everything from the yoghurt to the butter and even home cured salmon sitting underneath fluffy scrambled eggs. I wish we’d been staying more than a single night but we will certainly be back.

A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level. The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated The standard of the food is simply superior, absolute serendipity for such a remote location.

Don't arrive too early !! The Inn does not open until 15.00 hrs, information which is good to know !!

Breakfast was fine and room was top quality- excellent sheets, immaculately cleaned and perfect amenities.

Knowing that we could not get dinner anywhere in the area after 6:00 was a problem- not theirs but ours, BUT - since it is rural this fact could be mentioned.

Great b&b, very modern decor but keeping with the country pub vibe. Room was spacious considering it was a loft room, bed was comfy. Nespresso coffee machine was great addition, as well as homemade biscuits. we ate on site at the restaurant and the meal was fantastic (both said worth the money). Breakfast was also great in the morning. staff were all really helpful and friendly throughout. Nothing much nearby (walkable) but taxi was easy to book.

Bathroom had a weird smell (like damp or pipes) - wasn’t massively inconveniencing for us and couldn’t smell from the room if door was shut. Room got a little warm at times being in the loft, but had a fan and velux windows to open. Would have preferred a mini fridge in room for convenience.

lovely decor and very clean and comfortable. Good location for staying near York but being out in the beautiful countryside. Staff very friendly and accommodating and beds comfy and large. Big luxurious bathroom and good selection of teas with homemade biscuits. The restaurant isn’t cheap but the food is really delicious, freshly made and the chef was very good with my multiple food allergies. All five of us all enjoyed our meals and said how good the food and service was. Would definitely recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be back again.

The Lime Tree in is outstanding; everything is just about perfect. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The accommodation is furnished to a very high spec. Our room had a large comfortable bed, stunning bathroom and a variety of tea, coffee and freshly baked cookies. The food in the restaurant is amazing, on a par with any Michelin starred restaurant. I would stay at The Lime Tree in a heartbeat should I return to the area.
