I had a single room which had all I needed in it and was a good size. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. It’s brilliantly located in between Hastings Old Town and St Leonard’s, a stones throw from the pier. Great communication with regard to check-in and any staff I met were very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

I was at the back of the property in a non sea facing room and there was a club/bar that was playing loud music late on Saturday night. Fell fast asleep once the ear plugs were in!

The location was excellent. Over the road from the Promenade and metres from a bus stop to many locations including the Seven Sisters. The price additional breakfast was delicious. The property was stylishly presented and felt quite luxurious.

The single room was quite small and a tight fit with luggage so if your budget allows, upgrade to a bigger room.

A small and clean place right on the beach and good walking distance from both Old Town and New Town. Self check in was made very simple and communicated well. The room large, view great, and bathroom is clean and modern. Lovely having a room big enough to unpack and store luggage.

Only one complaint is that the walls a super thin so at night you hear neighbours tv's, coughs , sneezes etc. All fine if everyone is tucked up and respectful. We had one night where the room next door blarred TV till 3am and so was awful. Fortunately, they checked out and our next days were perfect.

Alexanders is on the seafront of Hastings. It is within easy (though hilly) walk of the train/bus station. It is situated between the peer and the old town. I had made a request for a room with a bath and a very friendly staff member had specially given me one. She also arranged for me to self-check-in, which was extremely useful and appreciated. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Glad to have stayed there. Hastings was a good base for visiting towns along the coast such as Rye.

Not much can be done in an older hotel, but there was a bit of noise from the adjoining room.

Fantastic location, right across the road from the beach and we had a seaview room too! Great communication from the hosts for our self-check in and throughout our stay via the chat on Booking.com. Overall a nice room with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, good storage space. Parking 1 minute away in an underground car park (RingGo) at Carlisle Place. A choice of breakfast (full English, vegetarian and omelette), plus tea and coffee and cereal. Train station a 10 minute walk away.

Around the windows could do with re-decorating in the room we had, the owners are aware though and will be sorting this soon. The tea and coffee facilities in the room could do with being higher up, I found it a little awkward to make a drink without kneeling on the floor. The bathroom could do with a shaving point.

I liked the fact that there was a staff presence most of the time. My room at the very top involved climbing quite a few stairs, but it was of a fair size, with hot water, easy to use shower, and a small fridge. It was very clean and I found the bed comfortable. Breakfast was an optional extra and it was fine. My room had a rooftops view and was quiet, even though the hotel was on the sea front. It was a short walk from the railway station and from Harold Place, where the buses stop. The old town was a bit further. I'd stay again.

Hardly anything to dislike - no check-in until 1600 perhaps.

I was met at the door and greeted with a warm welcome. Whilst checking in, I was advised my room had been upgraded to a sea view room. I was so pleased and the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The front door was secure at all times and I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Facilities had everything I needed, tea/coffee, TV, fridge, decent plug sockets and a full length mirror (important!!). Although they don't offer late checkout, they were really generous with allowing me extra time in the morning. When visiting Hastings in the future I will certainly choose this hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The 8.30am window cleaner. Thankfully my curtains were closed.

Only really slept in the room but it was good and the facilities great staff are always friendly. Staying here suits needs as I don’t really stay in the room long more just in the evening. So for my purposes it’s a great match. If I was staying with a view to spend a lot of time in the room then it wouldn’t be as good as it’s basic (not in a bad way) but I think it’s pretty clear from the listing that it’s what it is. Where it really counts is the high standards of cleanliness and friendly helpful staff.

Nothing comes to mind was really great experience.

I had not stayed in this hotel before. I have stayed in a few of the hotels that are in Hastings though. But this one has come out tops! My 1st impression was how clean the hotel was; not just the rooms; but the hallways and the dining area as well. The welcome was really fantastic, friendly and helpful and greeted with a lovely smile! Just lovely and welcoming thanks to Kate the Manager. I couldn’t get to the top of the hotel so easily so Kate looked after me and upgraded my room to a sea view! Fantastic! There is everything you need in the room and lovely new bathroom (my only complaint would be that a heater in the room would have been great as I found the room cold at night) But I’m older! Overall this is a very good Hotel to stay at in Hastings and I would not hesitate in booking again for my next trip to Hastings. See you then Kate and good luck! Thanks so much for everything you did for me. Great Hotel!

The room itself was very well kept, neat, tidy and well appointed. The breakfast was well coked, and very filling, no need to ask for seconds. The location was fantastic as a base for sight seeing around the town, and a very good distance from the station, meaning no need to rush to get to the location on arrival day, or the get to the station on departure day. Very impressed with the windows in our room as well, as mentioned in my comment below there was some noise, but on shutting the window the noise was reduced significantly.

The only real down side was nothing the property had any control over, and that was the noise from the club across the road from our room and the very noisy patrons, but again, not something the venue could control. I would perhaps suggest that, with weather patterns changing and summer appearing to be getting warmer in the UK now, it may be an idea to invest in air conditioning at some point as well.
