Exceptional design of each room - I don’t have enough words to describe my delight. And the rooms are spacious. Lovely detail: there’s a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge to add to your tea. The breakfast is also very good, and the presentation is very elegant. The staff is friendly and helpful. For dinner we’ve been to Porters next door (that belongs to the same family), and enjoyed the food and music very much!

The house is not easy to see from the street, we had to drive along the street twice to find it. And unfortunately old houses have no lifts (though we were offered help with our things, to be honest). The Porters’ visitors tend to be loud, and I can imagine that on Friday/Saturday it lasts longer. So ask a room with the window to the courtyard, or go downstairs and join the fun) I would also appreciate a cappuccino for breakfast, but there’s only French press coffee available.

Great location tucked away in the old town part of Hastings, close to interesting shops, great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the room was decorated beautifully and immaculately clean. Bathroom spotless and the shower is brilliant! Nice communal dining room/lounge. I chose the French toast with fruit, yoghurt and honey for breakfast, which was delicious.

The only drawback in Hastings is the tricky and expensive parking. Street parking outside the property is hard to find and limited to a couple of hours. The best option is to park 5 minutes' walk away in one of the public car parks, which is £9.50 for 24 hours.

Pleasant and service-friendly staff. The owners were pleasant to talk to and were concerned that you enjoyed yourself. Good breakfast with daily fruit included. You had to choose breakfast from a menu which was then prepared in the kitchen. The location of the hotel is excellent in Hastings old town. Close to everything. The pub next door, which has the same owner, served an outstanding sea bass. The pub has a courtyard where you can eat under an old grape plant.

You can do without the British carpets, which cover all floors.

Great position. Comfortable huge bed. Fantastic breakfast. Staff friendly. Great wine bar/restaurant next door. Siting area downstairs

Very hot in the room, no aircon, and the electric fan was super noisy and too loud to sleep with. The 2 lounge chairs in the room look great but aren't overly comfortable- but that's a subjective opinion. (owners should try furniture for a full evening!!)

Charlotte, the owner, was a superb host. She was extremely helpful and actually phoned us about a query when we were out and about. We chose the hotel because we prefer smaller, individually owned places and the Moore Guest House didn't disappoint. Location was fantastic, which is partly why we chose it. Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice. In the room there was a massive selection of specialist teas plus coffee bags. What else can I say? Everything was perfect and we'd certainly choose it again when we next visit.

The only downside was that the Wifi could have been more powerful.

Wonderful location in the Old Town close to the sea. A prettily restored, quirky old building (lots of stairs!). The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room was attractively decorated.

The pillows were not up to the standard of the rest of the bedding - hard and spongy. Some gorgeous down ones were what I was expecting when I saw the bed.🙁 Although the bathroom was spacious and well equipped, during the night it developed a terrible smell of damp, which gradually seeped into our bedroom. My husband discovered that the radiator was leaking into the flooring which was probably the source of the smell. We didn't see anyone at checkout, so couldn't report it.

The location of Moore House is excellent, right in the heart of the old town and a very short stroll from the beach. It is close to some excellent restaurants and shopping areas, with everything that we wanted to do being walkable from the doorstep. The room was large with big windows letting in a lot of light. The bed is very comfy, and I liked the fact that real milk was provided in the fridge for coffee and tea instead of ghastly UHT pots. Shower is large, with plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels, we did search in vain for a light switch but they were automatic. The breakfast was great, home made / local produce cooked to order with plentiful portions that very definitely set you up for the day. Staff are all really lovely, we arrived a little early so were able to take a room key whilst the room was finished & drop off coats and bags, which had been placed in out room when we got back. They have plenty of glasses and and an ice machine if you want a drink, which was a nice thought.

No plug socket near the mirror, so if you need to use a hairdryer etc you can't see what you're doing. I took some long dresses, but there was nowhere to hang them properly as the 'wardrobe' was not full length. when checking in, we were assured that with the ice machine was everything we would need to open bottles, on looking we could not find a bottle opener or a cork screw to open a bottle of wine.

Really clean, well decorated, the staff was lovely, very well located, and the breakfast was top. Very happy with our experience!

If we have to ve picky I'd say it would have been nice to have a thinner duvet as it was August and it was too hot to use a thick, fluffy one. But honestly... Everything was great!
