Comfortable, well equipped room Easy transport to airport The hotel is actually well served by local transport options but this is not well enough explained on the hotels listing. I'm English and I was confused with how to get there. Here's what I learned... The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from the Heathrow T1, T2, T3 Underground station and bus station. Bus routes 105, 111 and X140 all stop a 2 minute walk from the hotel, cost about £1.60 per person and takes 7 minutes. I think this is a better option if you are travelling to the airport than from it. Busses depart every few minutes. You can get a London Taxi from any terminal. From T2 this cost £16 and I was at the hotel in 5 mins. There are ride sharing services such as Bolt available at around £5 although I didn't have the app set up for this. The hotel is on a bus route called Hotel Hoppa (https://www.hotelhoppa.co.uk/). From what I can see it's a shuttle service between terminals and some local hotels. It costs around £6, but I see many complaints that it is infrequent and takes a long time to reach the hotel, so this is probably best avoided.

The hotel could make more effort to explain transport Food is overpriced The full English breakfast buffet was a massive £15 which to me was quite excessive. If you know you want breakfast then definitely better off getting it included in the room.

Pleasant stay

Information says free shuttle bus to airport. This hasn't run for about a year. This was one reason I chose the hotel as I had a journey from airport to hotel and return on the bus. Needs taking off your site. False advertising

Room felt secure for a single female traveller. Nice and quiet, as requested. Got a reasonable nights sleep, in a wide single bed (not quite a double) despite a 9 hour time time shift. Often single travellers end up with tiny rooms, but this had space to move around

Room information is now via QR codes - except my phone had died due to a 30 hour journey, so I was not able to access anything, until my phone had power. Which was not at the top of my mind with jet lag due to overnight flights from Australia

Well situated close to terminal 5. Excellent sound proofing so did not hear aircraft. Opposite hotel you can catch a bus which takes 15 mins to get to terminal five. Much quicker than the hopper

No major problems

Close to airport, room was nice, clean and comfortable.

Three days I wanted to use room service, the room service button on the phone never connected. Rang front desk once and he was helpful and had room service call me. The other times I had to go down to the bar and order. Room service is because you don't want to leave the room. Also menu prices in room differ from the prices at restaurant. Was also charged the fee for eating in the restaurant or bar when having room service, on top of the room service charges. And charged a tip, no choice whether I wanted to or not.

Clean and quiet.

I wanted to buy a ticket for the airport hopper bus, supposedly cheaper buying from the hotel, but was told to buy on bus. It wasn’t a big saving but don’t advertise if you don’t do it.

Though a single room the bed was a 3/4 one and very comfortable. I enjoyed my curry in the restaurant. The staff in there were excellent at dinner time and at breakfast. The towels were lovely and soft and plentiful. The reception area was very welcoming.

The bathroom, though clean was a bit shabby, especially the taps and plug in the bath.(room233) The carpets in the corridor were quite badly stained. The net curtains could do with a launder. The breakfast selection was excellent, though the cooked part could have been hotter.

getting to and from the hotel was a nightmare (but that’s not the hotels fault. hotel hopper bus was £6 one way and ran a very unreliable service - they skipped hotel drop offs if no one need to be dropped off (in order to keep on schedule, that’s all good unless you’re waiting at the hotel to be picked up ( as I found out the following morning!). I waited nearly an hr at the hotel to get a hopper bus back to the airport and had to get an overpriced taxi (£17) in the end so that I would make my flight Parking looked to be a bit of a nightmare too -if you’ve got your own transport

Nice and clean room (spacious for London), very friendly staff, 24h restaurant options (according to their menu - we ended up not needing it). There's public transport right in front of the hotel, so instead of the 6£ airport shuttle bus, you can take the local bus for 1,65£. To catch it at the airport, you need to go to the Heathrow Central bus hub, not the shuttle bus hub.

Bring earplugs, we had a room with a view onto the runway, and therefore also heard planes taking off. For us, it was fine with earplugs.

Stayed at Best Western to catch a flight the next morning. It was very convenient for that. While it is close to the airport, a short walk (1/2 mile) led me to a great pub for dinner. There were other dining options in the little town of Harlingen (sp). Access to and from airport was quite convenient

After spending a week staying in small local pub / hotel establishments, the Best Western "corporateness" was a bit jarring. I had become used to the familiarity of the local mum and pop establishments. Otherwise I wouldn't have noticed and would probably have complimented Best Western on their professionalism
