The standard of this Hotel is very good. Very clean, quiet and excellent rooms providing Tea and Coffees, Biscuits, Iron and Hairdryer. We have stayed here on numerous occasions to meet up with family and friends. We also love the location being close to the rail station and quick access to motorways North and South. The staff are very friendly and seem to be multi tasking with duties from the adjacent Weatherspoons yet doing this in a professional and friendly manor.

The only possible downside for some could be that there is no parking provided, however there are parking facilities over the road to the hotel so don’t let this put you off.

Staff were amazing and thepcation was good.

Our room has a problem with the card lock and we had to wait until the second day for someone to be on duty who could reset the whole door system to allow us a card that got us in our room... Was a whole day and night of going downstairs to ring the weatherspoons attached for staff to come over to let us in. To our room with two young children. Wasn't great for us or fair on the staff who were already stretched and doing two jobs! No car parking overnight close by and not advertised as not having parking!

The location is phenomenal. Train and bus stations are a quick walk, as well as town center with shops, museums, and more. The rooms are cozy. The window brings in good airflow. They were very nice and fast to switch out my bedding as I'm allergic to feathers too. Beds are comfy and the shower is nice. Clean bathrooms.

Rooms where the doors open to another would have been great with younger children. Parking isn't on the premises, but there is a loading area for a quick drop off/pick up.

What an amazing stay! We had a work function locally and stayed here for 1 night. Amazing staff so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything and more that we wanted. A good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. It was very quiet and comfortable we felt very safe and secure. We went for breakfast which wasn’t included but very cheap and lovely with unlimited tea and coffee! The only downside is the parking but the staff showed us where to park locally! I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Very good value for money, very comfortable I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

the parking situation but easily resolved

The room was very clean & spacious with a lovely bathroom and walk-in shower. WiFi was available in the room and had USB Charging points on most sockets.

There is no on-site parking and parking across the road at the George Hotel Car Park is very expensive. The hotel recommended another car park close by, Mill Common Car Park, which was only a 5 minute walk away - which is okay if the weather is fine, but not so good carrying all of your bags/cases etc if it is bucketing it down with rain..!!!

Room was great size, great bathroom, very well maintained and clean. Amenity tray was very well stocked with tea, coffee and hot chocolate, bottles of water and both dairy and oat milk options. Great that is a separate building to the resturant/bar so no noise was heard from the hotel part.

Did have to wait outside when first got there as no one on reception and qfter pressing the bell multiple times, got no answer. Receptionist came out from the main resturant after 5 mins and appologised and got us booked in quickly, very freindly.

Location was amazing, the value for money excellent! The small touches like water bottles and hot chocolate were really appreciated. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, the only small issue we had was the bar staff made alot of noise disposing of the empty bottles/glass at 8am on the Sunday which woke us up, even with the window closed. Other then that really enjoyed the stay.

Just the noise of the bar staff early on the Sunday morning. Also there not being any parking so having to pay in the public car park maybe a discount or a parking permit could be given? Especially when staying for a long amount of time.

Accommodation was clean, and very in good condition. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Good to be able to make drinks as there was a good selection in the room. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it

There was no car parking on site (which I was aware of when I booked) and nearest car park was expensive. There were others to use but these were a good walk away and I didn't know the area well enough to find them late at night

The room was amazing and clean on arrival and staff were very welcoming. the food was very good to and what you would expect from a Wetherspoons. A big shout out goes to the wonderful lady who brought our breakfast both days, she is a credit to the business. Always happy, cheerful and happy to help especially on our second day when our family who live in St Ives came for breakfast with us. She was brilliant

Our room was not cleaned during our visit. Someone did call into the room while I was in the bathroom but did not return to clean the room or replace towels and coffee. Most of the staff where excellent, but the two security men where very rude and abrupt with us. We where outside at night and told we could not take drinks out while we had a cigarette. If those are the rules then that's not a problem but to be barked at by these two men is totally unacceptable.

Lovely room clean and well equipped hairdryer and iron also plenty of coffee and tea .The staff were all nice .

I found the room really hot I had to ask the next day fir them to help me out for yhe second night and try can control sircon and get it lower from reception.No onsite parking but cheap parking about 29 mins away not good if you can't lug your bags such a shame as they have lots of outdoor space that could be used as they could allocate a space for each room way to many outdoor tables using up valuable space.
