Our room was spacious and clean, very comfortable bed (room 9). Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel food is very good and not over priced. Location is in the centre of Huntingdon, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Car parking is free to residents.

The only pick-up points I could think of, nothing drastic. There is no lift, so having to carry suitcases up the stairs. (although you can get help from the Staff). The creaky floorboards in our room. The Sash windows need replacing or repainting.

Exceptional staff, no exceptions. Helpful, warm, friendly, professional, went the extra mile Lovely and clean Fresh and well cooked food with a great breakfast menu Great parking Bed was incredibly comfortable

Decor is tired and dated My room had many decor issues; bathroom tiles replaced above the bath with non matching ones, bath sides had a piece broken off, the raw edge easy to see, curtain tie-backs had raw edges, dressing table and bed side tables were 'tired' at best, ceiling requires sanding back and repainting, Requires sockets at the side of the bed Couldn't open the windows Window frames in a terrible state; rotted wood, flaked paint Noisy street of an evening

The staff were friendly, welcoming and made you feel very comfortable. the room was clean and tidy. the cleaner came into my room to clean and refresh the stores which i didn't expect.as i was only staying 2 nights. I mentioned i was cold during the night and she offered me another blanket and mentioned to for me to let the reception staff know as they would if needed offer to help. When i returned to my room later in the day i realised the radiator was switched off and once i turned it on the room heated.

the decor was out dated. the bath panel was chipped. the wall paper under the radiator was peeled off exposing the plaster board and the window was not able to be closed at the top causing a cold breeze to the room. I didn't report this to anyone because the staff were so lovely and i didnt want to be a bother as i was staying for only 2 nights. The visit was planned at short notice due and by the time i noticed the condition of the room it was late and i was tired from travelling. If the visit was longer i would of mentioned this to the reception staff. The friendliness of the staff would encourage me to book again when i return to Huntingdon with my family in the next few weeks.

the Hotel is in a great location for Huntingdon and the surrounding area with area of interest including Cambridge and Grafham Water. The staff go above and beyond to help and drinks and food are good. The breakfast is plenty for a good start to the day.

The rooms need some TLC. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade although most rooms have big old fashioned baths which are lovely to relax in. There is an old fashioned charm to the hotel which would be improved with some redecorating.

It was clean Food was good at breakfast Coffee cold

The walk from reception to our room was so far away along corridors,up stairs, down stairs throught doors with my aging father and carrying bags, cases this was not Ideal. The sloping floors in the room were not good for my elderly father and my bed was on a angle due to the UN even floor The shower over the bath.. ran hot, cold , boiling hot then freezing cold and I'm only 5'4 and once standing under the shower my head nearly touched the ceiling so no good for tall people

Lovely old hotel in a historic town, large room and bathroom with shower over the bath , lovely ambience in the hotel, staff really nice and very helpful , good bar service & the food from the restaurant is excellent, close to shops, 5 min walk to the Bus Station , there are at least 10 "Op Shops" in the town which makes for interesting browsing, the Cromwell museum is well worth visiting and there are plenty of ATM's and a couple of supermarkets and a number of cafes. The bus goes to Cambridge very regularly - I'd recommend staying here its a very nice hotel .

No air conditioning but they did provide a fan, there are stairs to the rooms and no lift but the staff are very strong and helpful in getting luggage up and down, the chair lift is awaiting repair so less abled may find it difficult to access rooms, shower over the bath is very awkward to get into and very tricky for those less abled- needs grab rails installed , tap arrangement tricky to work out , breakfast offers a small selection but includes cooked options . I believe the hotel is up for refurbishment and bathrooms are to be renovated.

The staff was attentive and did their very best.

The shower was cumbersome to enter for my spouse. I am 5'8" (173 cm) which is average height. When I was in the shower, my head was about 2" (3-4 cm) from the ceiling. They may want to consider a redesign by removing the tub. The light fixture straddled the shower curtain presenting a possible safety/shock hazard. Pack lightly, there are no lifts to the upper floors. Additionally, the building has stairs at the end of each 2nd floor hall and only one way in or out under normal circumstances.

The room was huge, on a corner so windows on 2 sides, overlooking the church and town. The bed was really comfortable and a good size double. Refreshments in room, TV, all good. Should we have needed them, there was an iron and board provided. Shower room spacious, lovely clean white towels. We had a continental and full English breakfast the following morning, and both were excellent. The staff in the breakfast room were really helpful, polite, and attentive. All in all, a good stay - wish it could have been longer! Love the history of the Inn, so glad it's still there and continues as a working hotel.

Nothing, it was all great. Though our room would have been easier to find if we'd been told by Reception that it was the Hitchingston (??) Suite and not Room 19 :) (Maybe put number 19 on the door?). But that was a minor inconvenience.

The staff are always very friendly, chatty and helpful. I came with a bike and they were happy for me to take it into my room. Alternatively, they would have locked it in a storeroom. The food, both breakfast and evening meal, is excellent. ON the first morning, as I was leaving early, the receptionist arrange to inform the night porter to get the continental breakfast options set up early. In the restaurant on the Saturday evening, I had a bit of a wait because they were busy so I was offered a coffee on the house. It also seems they did some redecorating during the lockdowns.

Nothing.

Central location with parking at door. Friendly, helpful staff. Catering, breakfast and bar service, good choice and well presented. Public spaces ample in size and well located. Heritage features and 21st century expectations of a hotel stay well balanced.

The plumbing. Inevitably the plumbing is also ageing, the worst complaint made by the water pipes themselves and a toilet cistern that, when activated, made a noise like a foghorn. Suggest cold/hot mixer taps to avoid scalding guests.
