We recently had the pleasure of staying at 5 Dials a charming pub accommodation in the heart of a quaint English village. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and friendly welcome from the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room itself was clean with a comfortable bed, crisp linens, and all the amenities we could need, including a flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed, with fluffy towels and a powerful shower. Breakfast was lovely, the food was hot and very tasty, thank you Sarah for my morning after hangover drink ! Overall, we couldn't fault our stay at The 5 Diala. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the food was simply outstanding. I would highly recommend this pub accommodation to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the 5 Dials.

The Five Dials is a friendly, traditional, vibrant village pub. We only live twenty minutes away and have popped in for drinks when passing over many years (it's extremely convenient to the A303). On this occasion, we decided to take some friends there for dinner and to stay over, so we could properly celebrate their wedding anniversary! The weekend was a great success. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, the bar offers a good pint of Otter - together with a lovely atmosphere and buzz. Our dinner was absolutely delicious - first class cuisine, with a focus on local, independent suppliers and plenty of choice for vegetarians (and non!). Breakfast was also excellent. The manager, Sarah, looked after us so well - and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. A BIG THANK YOU to all the team. For longer stays, the Five Dials is in a really excellent location for exploring the Somerset Levels - and is also close to the Devon and Dorset borders.

The meals were excellent, this is a fantastic pub if you enjoy modern British cuisine. Plus the cooked breakfast is outstanding. The staff are polite, efficient and very helpful. I would highly recommend a stay or just to go for lunch or dinner. The room was really clean and the modern bathroom was spotless with a powerful shower. Also great value for money.

Books 2 rooms, they were very clean and look newly refurbished. plenty of tea, coffee and toiletries. good wifi. Breakfast was very nice and well presented. Staff all friendly and happy to help. also stayed for Sunday lunch which was very nice!!
Nothing bad to report its worth noting, The day we stayed it was 34 and there is no aircon. we knew this when booking so knew what to expect. There were fans in the rooms and unlike chain hotels we could open the windows which helped!!

The breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and spacious. The pub staff was friendly — they managed to find a high chair for my 10-month-old, which we both appreciated. The shower was powerful and hot. Parking lot was well lit and it was easy to find a space. Loved being able to have dinner and drinks at the pub and then go directly up to the room.
The beds could have been more comfortable and I would have liked better blinds/curtains to block the light (travelling with a baby with an early bedtime, otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed!).

Pleasant room, comfortable bed, stylish bathroom. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Restaurant very busy, but food was wonderful (chef should have a Michelin star!) and service very good too. The menu here is always varied and imaginative.
It would have been nice to have a mirror in the room and somewhere to put shampoo & soap in the shower.

Good location. Our room was very good and comfortable. It was quite chilly and pouring with rain when we arrived and the heating was not working. Sarah quickly came up with a heater and kept us updated on pump repair. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good.
Shower was lovely, although a little small with not a lot of room to manoeuvre around.

Road was a little noisy during the night and early morning.

Breakfast was absolutely superb. We had dinner just once, would love to return to sample others items on the menu, what we had was excellent. The beer was wonderful and they served us coffee late in the evening, for which we were extremely grateful. Bed was very comfortable and the room spacious.
Wi-fi connection was unreliable but this may not be due to the hotel. Possibly a touch expensive in our experience.

My wife, teenage daughter and I were travelling from Canterbury to Carbis Bay and wanted to use the inn as a suitable layover before continuing our journey to Cornwall. Check-in was via a key safe so we did not really meet a lot of staff. By the time we arrived, the inn was already buzzing with pub and dinner guests, but we managed to get parking. Unfortunately we could not reserve a table for dinner so we had to drive over to another establishment some mile away, The Bell at Broadway, which serves decent pizzas. Our three bed room was quite spacious and we all had a good sleep. Breakfast was down in the dining room in the morning and the full English breakfast was good, but not great.
A personal reception would have been nice. Now we had to locate our room by ourselves carrying our luggage.
