The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The house was very clean and of an interesting layout. My room was tastefully decorated and comfy. Breakfast was generous with cereals and fresh berries to start and a full English or combination thereof. Location was handy for the A303 and not too far to drive for an evening meal.

The only slight thing to get used to, and which was wholly unavoidable , was the sound of the creaking floor boards from the room above. In an older building this was part of the structure . Earplugs helped and the occupants above me tried to move as little as possible in the evening!

A beautiful property nestled in the peaceful, green English countryside. Kathy and Neil gave us a warm welcome, making us feel at ease right away, sharing fascinating stories and local insights. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped with a hairdryer, toiletries, a kettle—everything you need for a cozy and relaxing stay. Worth highlighting is the generous breakfast served in the inviting dining room, offering a wide selection of fresh produces and drinks to start your day with energy, including a superb full English breakfast.

Kathy & Neil were very welcoming with their cup of tea & cake on arrival. Breakfast was homemade bread & preserves and vegetarian sausages for one of us. We were given a lot of local info which was useful & directions to avoid various roads when we left. We had a lovely spacious bedroom with a lot of extra touches included (tissues, nail brush, organic toiletries). The ensuite & shower was a bit 'cosy' with a low ceiling. Great views out over the fields from our 2nd story

Neil and Kathy are very welcoming. Always ready to satisfy our needs. They provided us with a plenty of information. Room has all you may need during your stay (hairdryer, toiletries, charger, kettle, biscuits etc). Delicious breakfast. If you love nature and looking for a spot in the countryside, this is the right place to stay.

Lovely friendly welcome with tea and cake on offer. Help with suitcases, parking and lots of ideas for outings, etc. The property is elegantly modified for guests yet keeps its character and history on show. We felt very rested as the location is very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and ready when we were. Lovely home produced jams, honey and bread and otherwise locally sourced too. Neil and Kathy always around if we needed help or just an interesting chat. Took advantage of some reflexology while there which was excellent and reasonably priced. Local restaurants are good quality.

They couldn't do more, but for my husband with some mobility difficulties, the stairs and uneven pathway presented a bit of a challenge.

The location of Lodge House was perfect, tucked away in a lovely rural location, so quiet and peaceful, but also within relatively easy reach of all locations we wanted. Neil and Kathy could not have done more for us, so welcoming and gracious. The home cooked food was delicious and the breakfast was perfect, all home cooked and some home grown and a plentiful amount that gave us a good start to the day exploring. Our hosts were helpful in providing local information and maps we could use and were most accommodating, it was a lovely stay and will return.

That we didn't have time to stay longer!

Set in a tiny village, down a tiny lane, this place is so peaceful. The cottage is pretty old fashioned downstairs but this does not reflect the rooms. I stayed in the King size deluxe at the top of the house. The room was beautifully renovated, maintaining original beams with a clean and modern interior. The tea and coffee in the room was plentiful, with biscuits etc. A smart tv enabled me to log into my Netflix account. The ensuite was modern, with a good shower. Kathy was a great host, offering me homemade cake and tea on my arrival. I highly recommend a stay here, it was great value for money.

There was an array of breakfast cereals, homemade bread and preserves which I chose not to eat, so I could save myself for the cooked breakfast but wish I had as the cooked breakfast was not enough for me, I could easily have eaten twice what was on the plate! So not really a complaint, just an observation.

Kathy & Neil were very friendly and helpful. Greeted with a cup of tea and home made cake when we arrived. Breakfast was very good, with a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit and cooked breakfast. Room was clean and comfy with plenty of room, bed large and comfortable. Location very quiet and easy to get to from the main road. Nothing was too much trouble, Kathy and Neil did a great job of ensuring we had everything we needed to have a lovely stay.

If you are particularly tall, the shower may be a small problem as the roof slants down reducing height. We had no problems though. Part of the charm of the house.

Very quiet, peaceful location. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast and it was easy to choose a simpler option when you wished. Homemade bread and jam/marmalade. Eggs from their chickens.

Very friendly helpful hosts who put a lot of thought into providing a comfortable stay. Their local knowledge was much appreciated. Excellent breakfasts including homemade bread, honey and jam. Comfy bed. Peaceful.

Access to the property was a bit awkward but better when you became more used to it. The en-suite shower room is quite small but the faculties were very modern.
