Spacious, warm and clean room. Wonderful facilities and great location for visiting the highlands in any direction.

Rooms were thin, which is quite obvious to such an old building, but the fact our room was right above the lobby made it a little noisy.

Very nice hotel in Inverness. Professional and friendly staff. The hotel is modern but kept that nice "old palace" look. I did not have time to enjoy the Spa unfortunately but from what I could see, it looked very nice as well. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options.

Just a small detail: the breakfast only included regular coffee. It was not possible to get something like a capuccino without having it delivered from a nearby Starbucks for extra money. Not a drama, but a bit more hot beverage options for breakfast would be nice.

This hotel is an absolute gem. One of the only places I've stayed where the company actively seeks to make life easier for its customers, rather than running things for its own convenience. For example, late checkout could be organised for a minimal charge, the spa could be used even without booking, and indeed, after check out has already closed. The restaurant was able to rustle us up a basic lunch even though it was closed. Staff were wonderful and incredibly generous. A shining example of the best of highland hospitality. The rooms were comfortable and large, so much so that we could probably have squeezed 4 of us into 1 room, rather than having 2 rooms. The location is also great, being on the banks of the river and opposite Inverness castle. All central locations are within a 5 minute walk.

This hotel is elegantly decorated warm & inviting. Very polite, helpful competent staff! Check in quick. Our room was spacous & spotless. We took full advantage of the spa included in the price of our room. Robes slippers and towel brought up to you room on request. Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and swimming pool was brilliant, also immaculate. open 7am till 9pm! We had dinner in the beautiful dining room, the food was fantastic and good value for money as were the cocktails! (my niece also really enjoyed her passion fruit mocktini). Breakfast served 7am-10am in the gorgeous breakfast room, with a large variety of cooked or continental (hot food was indeed hot!) Teas, coffee and toast brought to you by the lovely attentive waiting staff! Definitely will be my hotel of choice in Inverness!!

I simply could not fault this hotel!

The hotel is in a beautiful location and right at the heart of the city centre. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Sunday morning breakfast was extremely busy between 9-10am, so we were seated in the Bistro, we chose our self-service buffet breakfast but our tea & toast came 30 mins after we sat down & had finished our breakfast. The hotel is aware how busy it can be & staff were apologetic, but felt as if we were forgotten about when not in the breakfast room! Breakfast on the Monday was much better but Hotel wasn't just as busy. Don't let this put you off!!

The room was absolutely gorgeous, beds so clean and comfortable . The main reception and restaurant/bar was very sophisticated, warm and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly . Spa and pool exactly as pictures showed and easy to access all day

The view from my window and only having 1 towel for the spa and pool however I didn’t ask for a second and I’m sure I could have been given another . There were small areas that could do with a little refreshing for example the sealant on our bath, the window sill area and the grouting/tiling around the jacuzzi

Recently refurbished and very very nice place to be. The staff were excellent and friendly and the decor was lovely. Food and drinks were of a very high standard. Leisure facilities were new, clean and modern.

Slightly larger bathroom would have been nice and the 2 members of the housekeeping team having their rather animated conversation in the staff room rather than outside my door at 8am would have been more appropriate.

Very nice hotel. Special mention to Mr. Mark. During our stay, my wife had a minor accident and we need to visit the hospital for an emergency treatment, and after a long hours in hospital when we returned at the hotel very late ( after 11 pm ) we both were very hungry, and Mr Mark was so nice that he agreed to prepare a Sandwich even the bar and restaurant was closed. And we had a couple of drinks so late and Sandwich was just awesome. It was really nice . Thanks a lot Mark.

Probably the hotel should have installed Air Conditioner, as during summer Inverness is getting very hot . Thanks to Global Warming, hotels need to adjust as well.

Staff were great, very friendly, and welcoming. The room was very clean. Facilities were great. Although we didn't use the pool or jacuzzi, it was nice to have the option . Have the spa facilities was great too, unfortunately we left it too late to get an appointment for what we wanted. That was our own fault, though. Thank all the staff for doing such a good job.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Although there was plenty of choice, both meals were not hot, more luke warm. Which was disappointing. When you save up to treat yourself to a night in a Spa hotel or any 4star hotel, if it comes to that, then the food served should be of a high standard to match the star rating. This means it should be hot.
