Location was excellent, right on the riverfront, 2 minutes walk from the cathedral, close to public transport, shops and dining. Beds were very comfortable, room spacious and warm, heater was very effective but hardly necessary . Breakfast had gluten free cereal but no nondairy milk, plenty of fruit, cooked and continental as well as porridge available. All seating was comfortable and there was an upstairs lounge which overlooked the river Ness

The decor could do with a little enhancement but did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay. Most staff were very helpful and friendly which highlighted the couple of reception staff who were rather perfunctory in manner

We stayed 4 nights in a very clean and comfortable room overlooking the River Ness. It had a Bay window with 2 arm chairs we could relax in. It is a great place to stay as it is very centrally situated but just across the River from the Town Centre itself and so there was very little noise. In fact it was very quiet and had a lounge on the first floor you could sit in. A short walk from good Restaurants and the Eden Court Theatre and Cinema. Lovely walks along the River Ness and only 10 minutes walk to the Bus and Train Station. The Hotel is a nice old-fashioned Hotel which is reflected in the price, therefore, not as expensive as most other Hotels on the River Ness.

We had stayed on a previous occasion and had a very nice Breakfast in the Hotel Restaurant but as we only normally have a small Breakfast it was not worth paying over £11.00 each day. It was possible to eat in the Hotel but only in the Bar and the Menu was not displayed.

We didn't take the breakfast as we had an early morning train. The reviews regarding the cleanliness weren't good and I was worried about this but our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Apart from our one night stay, the staff has been beyond kindness and was very professional. We forgot our kid's backpack at the hotel and in the rush my cellphone slipped from my bag into the taxi's trunk. As we were in our train, we asked if they could help us, which they did. They called Inverness Taxi for us, the cab driver brought it back the next day and in the meantime they found the backpack back. They sent all of this back to us. I think it is rare enough to mention it. A huge thank you for the professionalism and honesty of both the hotel's staff and cab driver.

The hotel room was a great size, loved that the TV let us use Netflix. The bed was huge and so unbelievably comfortable. The staff were so helpful especially because my partner just had leg surgery and they got him ice for his leg which was so kind. The bar was great as we were able to take a couple drinks up to our room while we got ready to go out. It is in a perfect location in Inverness, everything is right on your doorstep.

Room was very hot, we got given a fan when we asked but it was broken and they didn't have more but apart from that all was great!

The hotel had obviously been a grand hotel in past years but is now a little bit on the tired side and needs some upgrades The room was clean but unfortunately a handle on the double wardrobe came off on 1st use as dis the robe hooks on the inside of the bathroom door. These were reported and repaired effectively and quickly. Any staff member spoken to in reception and dining area were polite friendly and attentive to the needs of guests. Excellent choices at breakfast buffet Hotel is in an ideal location about five minutes from the centre of Inverness with cheap car parking £5 for 24 hours a short distance from the hotel in the Cathedral car park

The furniture in the room is outdated and Needs upgraded. Some parts of the hallway walls need to be repainted

Evening staff were more than helpful, and assisted by shifting my room from Rm 314 which stank of cigarette smoke, to Rm 227 which was absolutely beautifully fresh in comparison! Very comfy bed and very cozy room!

I entered Rm 314 and was immediately hit by stench of cigarettes - I returned to Reception immediately and explained my situation. Presumably if helped that Rm 227 was still available but the lady and gentlemen at Reception couldn't do enough to help me and offered me Rm 227 at the same price.

Booked a room here for a very reasonable price, with expectations set accordingly. My expectations were exceeded. Nice old building. Fantastic location, close to river and across from the castle. Room recently refurbished, comfortable bed, good bathroom. All the staff I met were genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and good quality. For the price, amazing.

Some of the common areas are a bit tired, but this is a very minor niggle for the price!

Absolutely no issues during my stay. Friendly staff on the check in desk and my room was ready on arrival. I had booked a river view room, which was spacious and clean. The fitments in the bathroom had been recently upgraded and the rain shower was excellent. Very quiet hotel at night, so a perfect sleep and the choice at the buffet breakfast was extensive.

Honestly can't think of anything that would have improved the hotel experience for the price paid.

Central location, room was clean, good selection for breakfast and evening meal served in the bar area was pleasant

Was under the impression we would be given a river view, instead was at the back/side of the hotel. The view was of the adjacent windows of other buildings and also where the rubbish etc from the hotel was kept. This meant at night was noisy with bottles from the hotel being emptied. The door to the room did not fit meaning that all though the night light was shining into the room. One set of towels were fraying.

This hotel is easy to find. It’s central and good value for money. It was cheap to stay here and i was not charged for my 12 year old child. The food is reasonably priced and traditional. The bistro offers good service and comfort.

It is too strong a word to say that there is anything that I didn’t like. The decor in the rooms is dated but it is comfortable. Tbh I have stayed in cheaper budget hotels for not much less than the cost here. I will definitely be back.
