A very good hotel at great value price, charming and helpful staff (genuinely Welcoming receptionist, good humoured and efficient restaurant staff), clean rooms and such a lovely location by the river.

The layout of the en-suite meant wriggling through the door to the shower to avoid a burn from the wall mounted towel rail! Minor inconvenience only.

Just about everything. We chose to stay here because long ago my dad and my aunties went to school with the man who established the hotel. The business has changed hands a couple of times, but what a good thing was started, and what a good thing they are continuing now. Staff make or break a place, and the staff here are great. Whether we were dealing with people in reception, the restaurant, breakfast, or the bar, everybody was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - except perhaps for the sausages being served as part of the breakfast buffet: they were not the best in terms of taste and quality. We dined in the restaurant twice during our stay, and on both occasions the food and service meant that next time we come to Inverness, we'll be looking forward to eating in the restaurant again. The room we stayed in had a bath. To be clear, I mean the bath was next to the bed, although separated by quite an effective, low, partition. Didn't expect the bath to be there. At first we were like, wut? But then I got the gf some bubble bath and I couldn't get her out of it. In theory, it is weird, but in practice, it was not. I didn't try it myself, but the gf turned into some sort of prosecco-obsessed mermaid. I was lying on the bed with my headphones in listening to the football, and I can hear her splashing about. It was surreal and also wonderful. Don't worry - there is also an en suite shower room. I doubt all of the rooms have baths in them, so if you want that, I suppose you'll have to ask for it.

That I won't be back again until later in the year. Also not sure if we'll be able to have the same room. The little sign next to the shampoo/bodywash warning guests they'll be charged £14 or something if they nick it is insulting to guests who don't need to steal things. If that sign can't be worded better - perhaps highlighting the hotel's environmental aims by using refillable bottles instead of disposal giveaways - then the bottles could be secured within the shower like they do in other hotels. The sign as it is comes across as smarmy, thoughtless, and in our case, unnecessary. An irritating black mark on an otherwise flawless experience.

I loved the welcoming reception area and the availability of the great bar. The room was brilliant. Our stay was for a get-together, organised in another area of Inverness. Loving Inverness always, many years ago, I enlisted as a Queen's Own Highlander there.

The lack of roof maintenance is going to come and visit your premises with a vengeance if your company is not careful. Opening fire doors for smokers should be a thing of the past. Freezing in the bar and reception areas. It is what it is, and you all try hard, stand especially, but management must try harder to enforce things.

I really enjoyed the bed, the shower and the breakfast. The staff were really friendly and my room was comfortable and quiet. My riverside view was beautiful and all the facilities were to a high standard.

I would have enjoyed a bath in my room, although that wasn't promised.

Loved our stay at Glen Mhor Hotel which is ideally situated on the banks of the Ness, with a lovely aspect, and only a short walk into Inverness. We paid for a river side view, and had a large well appointed room, with a nice powerful shower. The Hotel has a modern bar, with a great selection of whisky's and craft ale (brewed on site), and the staff were lovely, and very accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic, large selection, good quality in a light airy room overlooking the river, and again the staff were very attentive. All staff from reception, to the bar to the restaurant were a real credit to the hotel.

Our friends had a room towards the back of the hotel, which was a little small and you could hear the conversations from the room next door. Staff were great in accommodating a room change, but at the height of the season, that may not have been an option.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Glen Mhor Hotel for one night, and it was a truly delightful experience. The hotel is cosy, clean, and extremely welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff were friendly and provided excellent local information, which was very helpful for exploring the area. Distillery is excellent, with some great gins, ales etc. The location is ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and a charming atmosphere that adds to the experience. Although my stay was short, I left with a positive impression and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone seeking comfort and warmth during their travels!

The bath had low water pressure and was a little cooler than I wanted it. Nothing bad though

Single room was small but lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location on the riverside - excellent location for anyone working or visiting city centre. Lots of staff / builders around as there's lots going on - looks like expansion. Seems to be a very attractive wedding venue too. Looks nice and welcoming.

There was work being done one of the nights and I was kept awake until around 2am and up again about 7am but when I spoke with staff, they assured me there would be no further work going on at night. Got a great sleep the next night.

Managed to get a good deal for one night stay, and thought that I'd chance staying here - it couldn't be any worse than my very first time staying here some months back, where very old mattress with v thin mattress cover which didn't even cover mattress, was my worst hotel/b&b experience ever in whole of Inverness! Ideally the main reason for booking a room for the night is to get sleep, and I am DELIGHTED to say that this 2nd stay in this hotel was exact opposite from previous experience, where bed mattress was thicker, with good thick mattress cover too, so I slept solidly this time round! Like last time, all staff were very helpful, happy and friendly! The room was nicely cosy too, not big but not too small either.

N/A!! Everything was great this time!

The staff was extremely helpful - they held my bag which had been delivered to the wrong address for weeks while British Airways sorted it out. Cannot thank them enough. The room itself was clean and nice, and lived up to my expectations as a solo traveler. The breakfast was very good, and the location right off the River Ness was picturesque and very convenient - not in the heart of the tourist/shopping area but less than a ten minute walk away. The distillery also seemed quite nice, although I did not really drink during my stay.

The breakfast times are very, very strict - make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare.

Nice busy hotel with its own distillery

We booked a meal for 16 in our group, i kept stating that we cannot book a set meal as peoples wants and desires are so different especially as 6 of Our group came from Germany. When we sat down in the waterside bar we were given a set meal choice and not the hotel menu. None of the group wanted what was on offer and we were told that’s all there is. We left dissatisfied and i was embarrassed as leading the group, it was already 7pm and had to find alternative food when people had been travelling all day.
