excellent location with River view - short walk into town

The bar area in Waterside restaurant is very small with no lounge area to sit and have a comfortable drink (unless there is a second bar we were not aware of) one side of bed was VERY uncomfortable - room 612 - mattress had a huge depression in it and the springs twanged every time I moved.

We really enjoyed both the location of the hotel and the facilities. Dinner and breakfast in the associated restaurant were great, so you can overlook the fact that our colleagues were a little overwhelmed in the morning and we had breakfast without toast. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and the location to the city center is within walking distance. there is ample parking and the home brewed beer is delicious. unfortunately we were still too early for the home-brewed whiskey. But it would be great if you could let us know as soon as the first bottling or shipping is possible. continued success.

Location is good. Just at the riverside. Silent. Staff seems professional. Although the hotel is not close to transportation, it is easy to walk. We have walked with our luggages without any problem.

Room needs maintenance. TV, one of the lamps at bed head was not working. Fan in the bathroom was too loud. Since we didn't inform hotel about the problems, I cannot judge their reaction but these should be checked at room cleaning. Like all hotels converted from old houses there are many stairs and a labirynth construction. Some should help elderly people with their luggages. You have to wait for coffee and toasts at breakfast. Some times it takes too long and your food gets cold.

The room was exceptional, as was the 4 poster bed, although it would have been perfect if the drapes had been on it, which I might add was really comfortable, including the choice of pillows. The outlook was pretty special too.

In my bathroom I had a shower over the bath which I dont mind but a bathmat would have been very useful for getting in and out especially since by then the bath was pretty slippy and with me being disabled it could have been an absolute catastrophe. Perhaps a phone in the room linked to reception could be considered as I had to go downstairs to speak to reception and on the day of departure it would have been ideal to have phoned them to get someone to help me down with my luggage.

Great location, interesting accommodation, a decent sized car park, extremely friendly staff- especially at The Waterside which is part of the hotel. Food here was fabulous. Despite a few issues would still recommend this Hotel. Nice quiet setting by the river and close to the centre.

Hotel was named as dog friendly on Booking.com but the information on the hotel site/google was less convincing. Dogs not allowed in bar or restaurant but allowed in the Snug at the Waterside. Room on the top floor not ideal with a puppy for obvious reasons. Room itself was pleasant enough but had a few issues. Window wouldn't stay up, shower glass seal not so good - water everywhere and shower head too heavy so it was either fully upright or fully down. Also, being at the top meant sloping ceilings. You had to take care not to bang your head!

The Glen Mohr is a charming hotel perfectly situated in Inverness. Rather than one big building, the hotel bought the entire row of properties on this street, so guests are in different "houses," one lovelier than the next. At the end of the street closest to check-in is a spirited distillery! The hotel faces the river and is just steps to the bridge which brings you straight into old town. The more modern shops and restaurants are also very walkable. The rooms are great, our bathroom was spacious, and we had a wonderful Scottish breakfast included. Lastly, Highland Happiness is a lass called Hayley, the delightful young lady who is at the front desk.

Cracking hotel on the river Ness. The addition of their own brewery and distillery at the rear of the hotel with a lovely outdoor seating area and very smart indoor bar makes a huge difference to the experience. The food in the attached Waterside restaurant (on the riverside) was excellent with the Cullen Skink probably the best I’ve ever tasted. I recommend the beers. I had a tasting ‘flight’ of beers in small glasses and all four were delicious. Also sampled the blended whisky which I really enjoyed and I’m a malt whisky drinker.

Our room was big and very clean with a new bathroom en suite. However, our balcony (which wasn’t in use) overlooking the river needed a clean and had some rubbish lying on it. It didn’t make much of a difference to our stay as it was not in use but it sure need tidied up. Overall, we were very happy with our room.

Restored Victorian apartments right on the river that are outstanding and a complete surprise. They are a row of apartments that all seem to be reasonably priced right on the river in the most remarkable location on a one-way, safe street. I was in the "Alexander" flat which one of the staff members told me was most Victorian. Indeed, the floors were not level. :-) They have a breakfast which is buffet and worth it but if you are on holiday without kids, I would pass on their dinner because the dining room is extremely loud and the food not great (their fish and chips, while fresh, was bland.)

Located just a short walk from the train and a stones throw from all the action, on a quiet street next to the river. The room was lovely and clean. I felt very comfortable and safe here as a solo traveler. I highly recommend the whisky tour! So fun and informative. Their story is awesome and you will be inspired!!! Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and affordable. I was full but ate every last bite! The staff were all very friendly. I would definitely stay there again. The public transportation was outstanding and an easy ride to Culloden Battlefield. I loved my stay in Inverness.

The hotel is located in a great spot with beautiful walks from the front door when you turn left and the city centre is just to the right. Staff were lovely and griendly. Room was a great size and had an amazing view only slight downside for me was the shower head is small but pressure was great. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night, couldn't fault the food or service. Breakfast was served in the restaurant rather than the main building where the room was but fortunately for us we had fantastic weather during our stay so wasn't a problem. We will definitely be back
